Alith

She dropped me and sank into a fluffy white chair at the desk. “Are you two dating now or something?” Her voice sounded strained so probably to convince herself more than me she added, "Not like I care anyway I have a boyfriend.” A gold pot filled with precious jewels floated from the safe and straight out the door but FaithAnn was blowing her nose and didn't notice. She dabbed her eyes with a handkerchief. “ I usually don't get this emotional, it's just Ace was the love of my life.” She took a few shaky breaths before continuing. “I guess it's something about the bad boys because now I'm dating Alith nàem, not many people know this but he’s the leader of the underground gurd backwards Cartel.” She quickly stopped talking “Dang it I shouldn't have said that. Oh well in too deep now I suppose. Just like me! He’s gonna propose tonight and I really can't say no. You know?” Another load of valuables walked out of her safe but this time she was too busy staring out the open window. She blinked back a flood of tears, "I'm gonna die without telling Ace how I truly feel!” all the blinking in the world couldn't hold the stream of tears that poured from her eyes at those words. She buried her face in her hands and I gave her a second to cry. “What would you tell him if you had the chance?” I asked gently. She emerged from her with puffy eyes and the painting that was leaving her safe paused to hear what she was going to say. She smiled sadly, staring at the ceiling like it was a window to her past. “I would tell him the day I broke up with him and stole that earring was the worst day of my life. Since then I haven't slept, I just lay in bed wishing. Wishing everything since that day was a dream, wishing I would just wake up. I would tell him I'm still in love with him.” Then she reburied herself in her hands and cried again. I sat there for a while feeling more and more uncomfortable by the second until a loud banging jerked Faith from her tears. she grumbled some not so nice things under her breath as she stomped towards the door. “Stop freaking knocking, first my security now you! why won't they just leave me ALONE! The two times I need my space is when I'm doing business and when I'm doing my makeup.” She death gripped the door handle and twisted it prepared to scream in the face of whoever interrupted her crying but after she opened it a c***k she shut it again quickly. Her eyes were as big as saucers as she ran around like a maniac splashing cold water on her face, reapplying her maskera, taking off her bathrobe and slipping into a gold sparkly gown. Then and only then did she open the door again. “Alith?” she leaned against the door frame “What a surprise.”
