8 year old river P.O.V It was a beautiful day the sun was shining so bright and  the air was warm against my tan skin as  I was running around the field with Bryce laughing "ha you cant get me " i  said . i  quickly hid behind a tree to catch my breath when all of a sudden i was knock on the ground with a laughing Bryce on top of me " ha i got you " Bryce said he then jump up  and started running towards our parents. i quickly got up an started running after him but he is little faster then me so he made to our parents and hid behind his dad alpha jack when i got there he jump from behind his dad  " i beat you ha '   Bryce said with a smile  . I stuck my tongue out at him and cross my arms and acted like i was mad at him.he was about to  give me a hug  when we noticed our father had stop talking and there eyes went white and we know that mean someone is mind linking them .when there eyes went back to normal they turn around looking at the other side of the field then my father alpha Scott turn his  head toward us " Alexis , Charlotte  take the kids and run  back to the pack house rogue's just cross the south border " he said . our mother grabbed us and started running as fast as there can towards the house we were about 10 feet's from the house when two  rogue came out of nowhere in front of us. my mother stop and quickly put my down and push my behind her i was so scared that i was shaking like a leaf i grabbed a hold of my mother shirt and look over to see where Bryce was and just like what my mother did Charlotte did the same and was hiding Bryce behind her. a few of are warriors were heading towards us and when the rogues hear them they look to see how many there was that when our mother told us to run as fast as we can to our hiding spot. Bryce and i take off run toward the tree line where our little hiding fort is. as soon as we got close to our fort a big shadow figure step in front of us that when i saw the silver knife in his hand . he attacks Bryce i stop in my tracks when i saw Bryce fall to the ground.there was blood falling from his knife i didn't know what to do. i hear someone screaming so loud that when i realized it was me screaming. the man grabbed me an started running towards the forest. i'm screaming and kicking when i see my dad wolf is now behind us i knew my dad when save me. my dad was about to jump on the man but we disappeared into thin air. it all happened so fast that i felt sick to my  stomach . i felt a piece of cloth over my mouth i tried to screamed but them my vision went black  10 year old Bryce P.O.V I was running towards mine and river fort to hided with river right behind me when a man jump out from behind a tree i didn't see the silver knife until it was slicing cross my chest. i fall to my knees as i looked up to see the man face i was kicked in chest the same spot where the knife had just slice open the pain  was now taking over my body  as i was laying on the ground with my blood pooling around . i heard river screaming as i turn my head to look at her i saw the man grabbed her and take off to the forest. i started to see black dot forming around my vision. i saw alpha Scott wolf speeding towards the man who has river in his arms. alpha Scott is close to them i know he was going to get river back but i can't keep my eye's open to watch as i'm slowly losing conscience. i feel my body being pick up as i slowly look up i see my father then everything went black.  I can hear people faintly talking but i can't make out what they are saying. i start to open my eyes but the bright lights in the room are hurting my eyes i can see my father and mother talking to the doctor . my mother is crying and my father looks pissed i tried to call for my mother but my throat so dry and my voice was raspy all three of them look at me when i tried to talk. my mother came rushing over to me and hold a cup of water with a straw in it to take a drink. i down half of the cup i look up at my father " is river okay where is she did alpha Scott get that man " i asked my father drop his head and i heard my mother crying harder i knew something bad had to happened. my heart started to beat really fast " WHERE IS RIVER " i screamed my father came over to the other side of my bed and sat down in the chair when he finally looked at me " i'm sorry son the rogue take her we couldn't get it her in time they disappeared in thin air  we have been trying to find her but her find her scent anywhere" my father said . i was confused how could her scent be gone it had to be only a few since we were attacked i was about to ask but my father must have known what i was going to ask " it's been three day now son " i was trying to get out of bed when they tried to stop me. " son you can't get up you need to rest you are still badly hurt and you lost alot of blood .please lay back down we don't want you to rip open your stitches " my mother said as she to get me back in bed that when i remembered my chest was slice open i  look down to see it  but all i saw was my chest covered in gauze and tape. i laid  back down in bed  because remember i wont have my wolf until i turn  13. i'm going to have a scar that will always remind my of that horrible day.
