All of the eyes turned to Seth, who looked confused. Most of all of them already had a small thread of me inside them, so I clouded the thoughts at one.
Doesn't Master remember? Seth is here on his orders.
Though I had most of them, it was hard to say if I had all of them. Some wore masks and laboratory coats over their usual attire, hiding the faces and the brooches from the prying eyes like mine right now. I wanted to make sure that they were all under me like I did in the cave by tuning for bio electricity, but I was running out of time.
I gave my whole attention to Unnel and Sala. It seemed like Sala had a bigger role here than I thought, judging from the way she stood besides Unnel this time.
They were still guarded with a little amount of insfi stones which I could penetrate easily, to my relief. No one would think that I had the ability to stay inside someone's head this far away from my physical body. Nobody knew my records and tricks like Cara and Tristan, so even Daniel didn't know about this wretched part of mine where I could drive someone crazy by disguising myself as someone they loved or trusted.
Unnel was taliking to himself. "I gave him the orders to come here. What was I thinking? That damned princess may be able to escape if Kor is the only one guarding her. I must let him hurry along."
As Unnel was having his illusion about how he himself ordered to come and talk to Glaze about perr glass shackles and keys, I turned to Sala. She was the biggest threat here. If she made me sleep for any reason, I did not know when and how I would wake up from that situation.
Unnel was glaring at Sala. "I don't like it when you use your powers," he said. "It makes you so ugly I can't stand to look at you."
Sala fell on her knees, her plum body rippling from the impact. She tried to hide her sobs, but was failing frantically at that.
"Oh, and," Unnel said, leaving the room. "Stay close to me today. Do not even think about questioning or meddling in my business."
Sala looked at her Master. What was he saying? She always helped him with his decisions, so why now? Had she done something bad?
"It's only for today," Unnel said without looking back. "You can do whatever you want after that, like usual."
Sala nodded. For one day, she could live without helping master. And unless it was absolutely necessary, she was not going to use her power anytime soon.
When I looked at them again, their stares were different. I knew those stares from a lifetime experience. They were a mixture of self doubt and apologetic looks.
"My bad, go ahead." He told Seth.
I would have waited for furthur instructions, but Seth just nodded and left. It seems that Unnel gave orders directly and efficiently. In my opinion, it was a good quality for a leader to not beat around the bush about everything.
Seth walked out of the doors, his steps unhurried unlike my racing heartbeat. I could sense Kor watching me, but I could not open my eyes again or talk due to not being in the presence of my physical body. I liked Seth's easy steps. Of course he would take easy steps, because he believed everything he does is according to the plan. He did not had a sense of urgency as a real thief would have.
When he came to the insfi wall, I gathered all the threads I gave others back to his head. The illusions of mine always blended perfectly with the victims memory as I targeted the bio electricity from neurons directly so I was not that much worried about someone discovering something odd. But ever since that soldier was able to resist my weak illusions for a moment, I did not want to take any risks.
Right now, I was weak. My Elkelyn gift had been ripped off and the insfi stone wall greatly restricted the amount of conscience and power to come through the door. Though the restrain had gone, I was not even close to my full potential. I could not risk anyone seeing any of these loopholes.
Seth walked towards the door and I was pulled back again. It was either to go inside or devide my soul in half, part here and part there. I did not know if that was even possible.
I clung to Seth as tightly as I could, possibly even harder than before. I could focus on breathing in my physical body as spasms and shivering started again, driving the entire thing I was tied to shake up violently. As Seth opened the door, I could see my body shivering in a trolly and Kor panicking as he watched it. I kind of felt sorry for him, but I had bigger and better things to worry about.
I followed the thread, only focusing on it as Seth walked through the door and closed it behind him. Last time, I went without nothing to focus on and it had nearly been impossible. But this time, the thread guided me as I blindly clung on to Seth, welcoming me back to my body.
I smiled as I collided back, removing all my powers from Seth and Kor. I was back here, safe and unseen. Despite the pain that crawled through my bones, I was pretty fine, to say the least.
"Did you get the key?" Kor asked.
"Miss gave it to me." Seth said, waving the key infront of him. I opened my eyes and stared at the tiny object I had successfully withdrawn from the enemies. I wanted to smile wider and celebrate this moment, but now was not the time.
Savin was coming and it was a trap. I had to get out of here.
"What are you going to do now?" I asked Seth. "Is letting me go a really good idea? I can easily escape from this place."
"No, you can't." Seth said, his face cheerfully bright. "There are hundreds of cameras around and they are being monitored even now."
That trimmed my chances. They could investigate why Seth went out of the room all of a sudden.
"Where?" I turned my head to look around. "Can you point me one? I can't see even a one."
"That big black dot right there." Seth pointed. "Now it's turned to you, just like the others. We have used a very advance technology to DNA to function these cameras, so they would monitor all the prisoners and what they do all the time."
"So, they don't follow you guys at all?" I asked, sounding jealous.
"Nope." Seth said. "We are sworn to the Master. We don't need that much monitoring. Of course there are recording cameras and live cameras in hallways. But we are used to them."
Interesting.
"Enough with the chit chat, dude." Kor said. "She shivered and almost died on this trolly. I can't take responsibility for her death. Let's get her out of here and to others. Then I'll finally be able to catch a breath."
I didn't say anything as Seth slipped the key into the shackles on my ankles, careful to avoid skin contact.
After a second, I heared the click.
