//Chapter 70//

I could feel Kor watching me intently as I laid there, closing my eyes. I ignored his presence and focused on Seth, who was nearing the insfi wall step by step. This was the part I was afraid of. If I was unable to get past the insfi wall, I would be stuck here forever. My plan would be ruined and Unnel would know my ability to manipulate minds even when someone was wearing insfi stones. I sucked in a sharp breath at the restrain from the wall pushed me backwards, almost pushing me out of Seth's head. Almost. I pushed myself against Seth's subconscious, latching on to him as hard as I could. The thread between him and me almost broke with the tension. I was a leech hanging on to his mind with everything I had. Seth slowed down, as if sensing the disturbance in his head. He did not stop walking and I was grateful for that. When he opened the door and walked out side, I gasped from the force. It felt like I was forcefully putting together the exact polars of two magnets , exept I was one of the them. I could feel my physical body spasming in the room, trying to get back the thread from this torture. I held on with sheer will, gritting my teeth and taking heavy breaths despite the bone crushing pain. Then, just like that, it was over. I opened my eyes to see Kor looking at me, terrified. "What is wrong with you?" He asked, looking genuinely panicked. "Are you in that much pain?" "Yeah." I said, smiling. "It reached to an unbearable level, but now it's manageable." Kor looked at me like he almost pitied me. "It will get better in no time." I managed a weak nod in response. I was still recovering from the crushing pressure I just felt. I closed my eyes and took a several breaths. I wanted to sleep right then and there, without thinking about anything else. That could wait. I focused on Seth, who was leading me towards Unnel with the thread of power which was somehow was still intact even after going through that wall. I did not feel any restrain anymore. Insfi stones were a mystery. I wanted to investigate them more when all of this is over. I could not imagine the potential they would have and what more we could discover from it. Seth came to a door and stopped. I held my breath, expanding myself inside his head so I could see and hear from his eyes and ears. Back then when I worked as the torturer of Warren's Den, I had used this method to find out secrets that nobody had ever discovered. Seth knocked twice. The door was opened by a person I did not recognize. I didn't hesitate for a second before expanding the thread to his mind as well. "Master is expecting you." He said. Seth nodded and went inside the room. I pushed more and more of myself in to his self so I could cover all the Elkelyns I met through him and to finally meet Unnel. Seth went deeper and deeper, greeting and sometimes ignoring others. I did not see Unnel at first. I could see various equipments and several Elkelyns performing different experiments on them. Some were observing and taking notes while the others were operating machinery. Everybody was busy and I noticed the guy who opened the door joining a team right after we went in. I expected Unnel to be sitting on a throne or something, but there were nothing like that in sight. I slowly pushed myself in to all the living beings inside the room, manipulating their bio electricity just to let them be familiar with Seth walking here. May be he was already someone who worked here, but I was not here to take any risk. Seth came towards a man and stopped. He was wearing a protective mask over his head. Before he could take that off, I went inside his head, settling among the thousand electric signals inside his brain. I noticed that the tug of insfi stones were stronger on this man, as if he was wearing more than one stone on his body. It was not strong like the wall, ao it didn't even bothered me a little. "Master, the key." Seth said, giving his hand palm up. I stared at the person infront of me through his eyes, squinting. Was this really Unnel? But his built was different than usual. The person took his mask off, revealing a glacier blue eyes and a thick black hair with a soft, feminine mouth. All the features I had seen before. I was glad that I was trapped in another room because if I was truly here, then I would have gasped out loud. I knew her very well. I stared at Glaze as she tucked the mask between her elbow and stomach, reaching out for the key on my command. I felt bad for using a friend's mind to my own personal choice, but I did not have a choice. I remembered Tristan's lessons. "We are born to manipulate minds. That's the gift and the curse of an Elf. You are a powerful heir to this kingdom, carrying the blessings of all the ancestors who ruled this kingdom. You don't have to worry about invading others. All of us deserve to use what we have." Though I did not fully agree with him, it still was a great way to not to think about what I was doing when making others see something they hated. It was always hard when I had to manipulate a friend to get what I wanted. Over the time I had gotten used to the look of fear and blank stares of others. Sometimes I had given them hope, only to crush them the next moment after I got the information I wanted. I avoided killing as much as I could because of this. Those creatures in the tunnel was the first thing I've killed in a long, long time. Glaze handed over the key. "Father jist gave me the instructions. What's going on with her?" She asked Seth. "We are setting up a plan to get rid of her." Seth said. Even though it sounded a little lost, he managed to say it without thinking too much, which would have stirred suspicion. Glaze nodded. "Okay." And then she went back to her work, donning the mask again. Seth turned around and started walking the way we came. I sighed inwardly. If I could get out of this room, my plan would be a complete success. "Wait. What are you doing here?" Someone called in my direction. I was so startled I made Seth also stop on his tracks. "Aren't you supposed to be with the princess and report her condition? Is she awake?" I slowly turned around, only to see Unnel staring at us with a confused look in his face. Sala was standing beside him. I threw my power at them. I did not have another plan.
