"Right now?" Resh asked. I had just finished telling him and the others about the danger. "Not sure." I said. "I don't know if my dreams are present time things. And there is someone who is giving them intel. We have to be as quick as we can, completing this mission." Savin was playing with my fingers. I had a really hard time focusing on the attacks, plans and others, even though that was what really mattered right now. That wanting and not getting enough of him stirred under my skin. He was not helping me at all, with his playful attitude and all this casual touching. "By the way," I turned to him. "You said the maze was a gift from your grandfather, right?" "Yeah," He said, dragging the pad of his thumb along my index. "Then what's your real ability?" I asked, surpassing a shudder at the touch. Resh answered for him. "He can amplify emotions." Savin grinned but this time there was something different in his eyes. His fingers hesitated for a moment. I brought my face closer to his. "Are you using it right now?" "Nope." He said. "I will tell you something later." Later. I also had to tell him something later. I still haven't apologized to him for leaving him. And tangling with him right now did not feel like a appropriate thing to do, when hundreds of lives were in danger because of me. I nodded. He didn't let go of my hands. Resh looked at us and rolled his eyes at Savin. "Okay, now that we are done resting," He looked at Zone. Let's proceed." "Remember." Glaze said. "When the next block is removed, we will be directly under the Liona mines. We have to be extra careful from here. Remember the plan. First, Savin will remove the upper block. Nasha will be the first one to go upwards. She will investigate our location. After that, it all depends on our stealth. Remember, stay hidden, don't let anyone see you and if something happened," she tapped her ear, where a devide from mortal realm was strapped. It could share locations. "Tap this three times and somebody will find you. We all know everyone can fight but this is not the time to show it off. Wait calmly till you are rescued. Pretend to be an Elf if you can. Savin stays down here and if we all tapped the device, take the tunnel away, covering our tracks. Tell the king that the mission failed." We all nodded. "Good. Now let's get going." I waited till all of them went first, falling behind with Savin. He tugged at my waist, pulling me against him. "Don't get caught." He said, running his fingers through my hair. I nodded. "Don't hesitate to go away if anything goes wrong." I touched his face. "I promise I would always come and find you." He kissed me the moment I said that. I breathed into the kiss, letting myself loose. He looked surprised for a moment, but the next moment, I was pressed against the wall. I was dirty, smelly even, but I let that all go as I blended in to him, feeling him everywhere. "Uh hm." Resh cleared his throat. Savin completely ignored him as he sucked my lower lip. I pushed him a little. He stepped back, his eyes still on my lips. I smiled. "Let's continue when everything is over." He rested his forhead against mine. "It's a promise." I breathed him in. "It's a promise." A familiar noise of soil being removed came to my ears. I peeled my eyes from Savin with difficulty and looked over at others. Zone had lifted the last block. "Let's go." I said. Savin followed me, touching the walls with his fingers, shortening the distance. We cramped to a corner as Zone removed the thirty feet earth above us in small cubes and pushed it into the way we just came in. We laid on the ground as Savin moved those blocks further and further away, saving air for a while. Zone carved more and more bigger cubes as the magic stopped working when he got closer to the surface. In the torchlight, his sweat sparkled as both of them focused hard. Relach was lying next to me. I was watching Savin work when he suddenly spoke. "You look exactly like your mother." I turned my head. "You knew her?" "I knew her." He said. "I wanted her. But she always seemed to stay away from me. If she stayed with me, she would still be alive." I did not like the way he talked about at her at all. "Well, I'm glad she didn't." I blurted. That was not polite, but I could not help it. He looked at me, as if seeing me for the first time. "I would not have raised my daughter to be a bitch." I did a fake like he said the funniest joke in the world. He looked like he wanted to say something else, but stopped. I turned my head away, not even bothering to give him a answer. These types of people would get only one reaction from me. Ignorance. Zone carved a stairs. "Nasha, if you will." I touched Savin's hand briefly as I passed him. Zone came behind me. When we reached the upper level, I directed my power above, searching for living beings. I detected none. "It's clear." I said. He craved a small opening on the soil with his sword and brought it downwards. His magic had stopped working. I peaked through the opening. I recognized where I was immeadietly. It was where Andrea and I found Matt, Katie and Lovy and recruited them to Warren's Den. They supplied information to us from the mines.Which meant we were inside Liona mine, inside a tunnel. A lamp illuminated the area emmiting a bright light. My eyes took a while to adjust to that light. The walls shone with purple stone fragments. There were so much insfi stones here surrounding all of us. I felt like I was back in Eternal prison, surrounded by them, trying to reach out to the world. I did not think even I would be able to penetrate these walls. They always worked on these mines, day and night. If it is this deserted, then either this was an abandoned pathway for being too dangerous or they were on their lunch break. I did not know which was happening. Both possibilities were not good for a long time. If this was a lunch break, they could come back at any time. If this was dangerous, that meant mining here would result in a disaster. Others were already behind me, waiting for my instructions. I came took my head back and spoke in a low voice. "Either this tunnel is labeled dangerous or the sl- workers are on a lunch break." I said. It felt rude to call them slaves. "High possibility is on abandonment. If we mine, something dangerous could happen." "What should we do?" Kylan asked Resh. I noticed that he didn't speak that much after I told him about Kahlee. Poor guy. We all waited for Resh to make a decision. He was the Crown Prince and the leader of this mission. He thought for a while. "Me and Nasha will go up and investigate the tunnel ends. We can't risk to destroy our way out." "Okay." I said. I went up first. Resh followed me right behind. We stood there for a moment. "You go that way," Resh said, pointing to right. "Let's meet here in exactly five minutes. "Zone, close the gap after marking it with something." Zone gave a thumbs up. I looked in to the right tunnel and took a deep breath. The air was filled with dry dust particles. It was hard to breath in here. I felt sorry and terrified for the slaves. It was not the time to think about that. I had to become the queen in order to save them all. And the first step was to complete this mission. I walked through the tunnel, searching for a living being along the tunnel.
