Day 27

MaryBeth

I wake up groggily opening the door that is being banged on.

" Can I freaking help you?"

" Delivery Ma'am"

" You couldn't leave it at my door?"

" The King insisted you receive it personally"

" Okay? What is it?"

" May we come in?"

I motion them in they start sitting vases full of daffodils and four different Berkins along with extravagant dresses and other bags all over my suite.

Austin walks in looking at me

" MaryBeth"

" Hello Austin"

" Are you wearing Connor's shirt?"

" Um no why would I be?"

" Not sure but that is his favorite shirt and it went missing not to mention has his faint scent"

" s**t, please please don't say anything"

" Can we talk privately?"

I nod leading him to my room and turn toward him

" I know who you are Princess Kitana"

" Oh f**k"

" Shhhh, I'm not going to say anything Grimes had one paper with your real identity on it I burned it for you"

" Um why?"

" Because I know everything you have done for JoJo also who do you think took you to Grimes?"

" You? But why your so loyal to Connor"

" Maybe, but your mother saved my life that day and I promised to save yours in return."

" Um wow thank you"

" Is he your mate?"

I nod

" Give me that shirt back later and I will snag you a new one"

" Your not going to tell anyone are you?"

" Not even my mate Kitana I made your mom a promise to always keep you safe and I plan to always keep it"

" I must say you did grow up quite beautifully and you have your mother's smile"

I smile

" Thank you Austin you don't know how much that means"

" Just be careful, how are you going to deal with the mate bond to a vampire?"

" I don't know my plan was to find a way to break the bond but now I sort of want to keep it and find a way not to kill us both in the process"

" I know they are going to LingLing when we get to SanValla but I am not in that group to know why"

" It's okay, I'm sure I will figure it out"

" Enjoy the gifts, he doesn't chase women this hard ever"

I nod

" Thank you Austin for everything"

He nods and walks out of the room I decide to change really quick just incase another guard comes in. I walk back out of the room and Austin's mate is there.

" Hey Beth do you want us to help put stuff away?"

" Um yeah that would be great"

I go through all the bags there are lavish soaps and bath bombs the new Dani Steele book that hasn't even been released. All different kinds of clothing and shoes the dresses. The smallest bag draws my attention and I pick it up there is a note inside.

I know you don't like Jewelry but I saw this and no one would look better wearing it than you. I hope you enjoy everything MaryBeth you deserve the world Beautiful.

I open the box and it is a necklace with a small white gold exploding firework covered in diamonds and a Sapphire in the middle.

I smile and put it on Austin comes over and helps me. We put everything else away and they take their leave. I go grab one of the swimsuits he bought me it is modest but still cute I slide into the hot tub. I don't do gifts but this is really sweet of him and I am in love with the necklace.

The girls and Jake come in from the gym and start looking around I rest my head on the edge looking toward them.

" So who told him about my favorite flower and Berkin obsession?"

Dylan: " Um I did actually I told him not to do this though"

Jo: " So did I and I told him gift wouldn't get him anywhere"

Quinn: " We kind of told him two"

"Well what is there isn't even the beginning of what he got me I have almost an entire new wardrobe."

Quinn laughs

" Damn he is just trying to buy you now"

" He also went to see Grimes"

Someone knocks on the door and Jo opens it.

" Oh hey Austin what's up?"

" I am taking the King's laundry down I was wondering if you guys needed to do laundry?"

I smile

" I do"

I get out and go get my laundry bag handing it to him.

" Thanks for taking it"

" No problem Beth, oh here the delivery service forgot this bag."

" And let me know when you need a refill of the special colone"

" Will do, thank you"

I turn around and they are all staring at me I giggle.

" Get your swim suits on and join me I will explain."

They all nod and go their separate ways everyone gather's in the hot tub.

Jo: " Alright we're here explain"

" Do you remember Grimes telling us a concerned citizen is who brought me to him"

" Yeah of course why"

" Because that concerned citizen was your big brother"

" No s**t"

I laugh

" Shocked me two"

" Anyways I answered the door in Conner's shirt this morning I guess he has been looking for it so your brother took it to be laundered."

Quinn: " Okay but what does special cologne mean?"

" That bag isn't from the delivery service it is another one of Conner's shirts. He is going to swap them for me when I need them."

Dylan: " Well that is nice of him but won't he just out you to Conner?"

I shake my head

" He made my mom a promise to look out for me and he is taking his chance to fulfill that promise"

They all nod and smile and start talking about the thousands of daffodils that are permeating our entire sweet. I show the girls my new wardrobe it is more modest then my normal attire but is definitely cute.

We all lounge around the rest of the day until it is time for dinner. They brought my laundry back around 4 usually it takes an entire day.

Conner

The laundry maids found my favorite shirt, I am so happy about that. It is the last thing I have from my best friend Xavier, he was killed by hunters 3 years ago. That is another reason I created this cruise not just to find answers on LingLing Island but to unite the different species.

The hunters are growing at extensive speed s the last few years and if we don't work together we might all become extinct. The Dragons have been by my side on this for years. The Bears and the Wolves have now been won over. I am making leadway with the Cats but the one giving me the most trouble is the Faye. The Queen wasn't even bothered to come on the Cruise she sent a messenger. She kept saying she can't trust me I might wipe them out two.

I get that people are scared of what I did but this is your lively hood and your way of life. I swear they are flea bags but to each their own. I locked myself in my room with the messenger for 3 days to get her to convince the queen. To be honest the s*x was pretty shitty and the b***h sabotaged my condoms and lube.

Austin: " Sire, the men want to know what to do with Stanford"

" Bring him in here"

They leave and come back with him

" Hello Grimes"

" Hello Your Highness may I ask why I am here"

" I want to talk about MaryBeth"

" What about my daughter?"

" I am trying to make your daughter my Queen but she is standoffish I need your help convincing her"

" MaryBeth stopped talking to me 10 years ago after she almost killed my girlfriend at the time"

I raise my eyebrow

" And why did MaryBeth try to kill her"

" She was slowly poising me, I didn't believe MaryBeth until it was almost too late"

" So she was protecting you"

He nods

" She always has I was just being a stubborn old man"

" Well you are here until we port I would like you to join us for dinner tonight and maybe surprise your daughter"

He nods and I send him on his way. While my men were at Grimes house they looked for files on MaryBeth's parents. They found their death transcripts. Their names where Estelle and Darwin Ling, their surviving daughter who was 7 at the time was MaryBeth Stella Ling.

At least I know her past now and can focus on making myself her future. I get ready for dinner and head out the door the girls are walking out just as I do.

" Ladies"

They both say Hi, I smile at my girl

" MaryBeth you look beautiful in that color"

She smiles biting her lip a little

" Thank you Connor but you didn't need to buy me all that stuff"

" I wanted to baby besides I prefer it if my girl is more modest I hate watching men stare at you MaryBeth"

" I'm not your girl Conner"

" Not yet but you will be baby"

We walk to the Grande Hall and take our seats

MaryBeth

" What are you up to Royal Pain?"

" What do you mean Baby?"

" You have this weird sparkle in your eyes like your planning something"

" I'm not MaryBeth relax"

" Well if it isn't my little Stella Bella"

I spin around in my chair smiling at him and jumping from my seat.

" DADDY!!"

I wrap him in a hug

" Oh princess I missed you"

" I missed you two daddy, is Afrenda here?"

" No baby you where right about her"

Jo:" Exactly when has she ever been wrong"

" I know, Hello JoJo"

She smiles and they hug

" Hi daddy"

We sit down and Connor is just smiling

" You brought my dad here?"

" I did yeah"

" Thank you I guess"

" I like it when you smile MaryBeth"

I smile and bite my lip a little

" Why does he get to call you princess?"

" Because he raised me he is a father to me and I will always be my daddy's Princess"

" Ehh touche Baby"

We eat our food and then my dad comes back to our Suite.

" What in the hell is going on between you and the King MaryBeth?"

" He's my mate, but he doesn't know that he is just chasing after me trying to get in my pants"

" He is trying to do a lot more than get in your pants Stella he wants to make you his Queen"

My whole body freezes and I go in a state of shock I can't even speak.

Jo: " I'm sorry what did you just say"

" You need to get the hell out of here Princess this is not safe at all"

I shake my head

" I'm not going anywhere dad running won't fix things I need to get to LingLing and find a way to break the bond or survive it with him. Hoping for the second one"

" Please be careful the last thing I want is a phone call from Jo because he touched you or drank you dry"

I nod

" I know daddy I promise I will be safe"

" Introduce me to your friends princess"

I introduce everyone and dad gives them all his green light then we hang out talking for a while before bed.
