Jake

Quinn and I have been together for 17 amazing days. I know this is just the beginning of our journey but I absolutely love every moment I spend with her.

The girls are awesome two, MaryBeth has told me a lot about sprites and the history of her people. I feel bad for her, she is the only one of her kind left. They even killed the hybrids, I think Connor took it way to far over one rogue sprite. I know things where different back in those days but still it was thousands of lives he took.

Dylan has become a really great friend to me I can talk to her about anything and she doesn't judge me. She is really fun, Jo is more of the I will fight you for my girls type.

We got to port 2 hours late just like Beth said we would. We all decided just to lounge on the beach today and get our land legs for a while.

MaryBeth

" Your blocking my sun Royal Pain"

" How the hell did you know it was me"

" Um, I can smell you duh"

" Smart Ass"

" Ass"

" Would you move"

He moves and lays a towel next to me

" What are you doing?"

" It's called relaxing baby you should try it"

" Screw you Connor"

" Tell me when and where MaryBeth"

I roll my eyes

" Now who's the smartass"

He chuckles and I lay back on my towel

" Do you own a modest bathing suit?"

" Why don't like my bikini's"

" What I don't like is all the men getting googly eyes over you"

I laugh

" Relax not like any of them have a chance"

" Do I?"

" Maybe one day"

We turn to look at each other and he raises his eyebrow

" Oh really?"

I laugh

" I said Maybe that doesn't mean yes"

" So what is holding you back?"

" I have issues of my own to sort out first"

" Like what?"

" A mate perhaps"

" No, just a past"

" Baby, I can help you know"

I shake my head

" I can handle things on my own besides I said maybe not yes"

" That still gives me hope beautiful"

I smile and turn my head back facing the sky

" Want to go get some Ice Cream Connor?"

" Whatever you want MaryBeth"

I smile and get up, we walk to the ice cream stand and then walk along the beach.

" Do you ever wonder?"

" Wonder what?"

" What it would be like if you didn't do it 411 years ago"

" Still stuck on that huh?"

" I mean yeah it has sort of defined you the last 400 years."

" Don't mess with the Vampire king he will annihilate your species and all"

"Okay fair point, and yeah I do like I said I am sure they where not all bad"

" But it was my fathers final order and crazed mad man or not I did respect him that is why I did it"

I nod

" Do you ever regret it?"

" What?"

" Killing that man"

" Everyday but it was me or him and I chose to live"

" What does that mean you or him?"

I raise my eyebrow

" You looked into my history you should know"

" Those police files were destroyed in a fire 110 years ago so how would I know?"

" When Jo and I moved to Chala we had a creepy landlord."

" He would always tell us women belonged in the kitchen and not as barmaids"

"Jo went out of town for a few days and he snuck in my apartment"

" He tied me up and raped me, he knew what I was because he used Silver on the ropes"

" After he was done he untied me and put a knife to my throat, I didn't have another choice I wasn't ready to die"

He nods

" I'm sorry MaryBeth I didn't know"

" Wasn't the first time or the last that a man took advantage of me but it was the closest scrape to death"

" And they gave you 16 years in prison?"

I nod

" Yeah and Jo committed a crime just to be in the same boat as me"

He laughs

" You two really stick together don't you"

" Yeah, she is my rock"

" I really don't think I would have lived this long without her"

" Why don't you drink much blood at dinner MaryBeth?"

" I control my hunger I learned that a long time ago"

Truthfully I hate the taste of blood but I have to act like a vampire.

" We can cut down your blood rashens if you want"

" Fine with me I don't need much"

" You don't drink much either"

He shrugs

" When you get to be 2000 years old blood just doesn't have the same effect as it once did"

I nod

" Well that is what you get for being a geezer"

He laughs

" Okay granny whatever you say"

We walk over joining the others then go to a restaurant and back to the ship. I had to give up his jacket this morning so no one would notice and I really miss his scent. Around midnight I sneak out my window and flutter to his. It's open, I fly in and perch myself on the ceiling in the corner. He is still up reading a book, after a while he gets up and showers then walks out in all his naked glory. Holy s**t do I want to jump his bones right now and that c**k is huge and it isn't even hard. I need to get the hell out of here before I do something stupid. I slowly head for the window. He walks over shutting it, f**k now what?

He crawls in bed and lays down, I know if I open a door or the window it will wake him. I see his discarded shirt in the corner and just go curl up on it. Falling asleep in his scent, I really hate falling asleep in this form I feel all tingly when I shift back again. I wake up to an alarm blaring and open my eyes. Connor get's up and starts getting dressed then opens the window looking out.

" Beautiful day to catch a beautiful girl"

I smile biting my lip a little, he walks out telling his men to have the maid clean his room today. I grab onto the shirt and shrink it then fly out the window. I fly close to the water so there is less chance of being seen then into my bedroom shifting back. I loose my balance when I do

" And Just where in the hell have you been?"

I hold up Connor's shirt

" You have been gone all night Beth please tell me you didn't touch him"

" No, as tempting as it was I just curled up in this shirt and went to sleep"

" Why didn't you just nab it and come back?"

" The asshole shuts his window at night apparently"

She laughs

" You are freaking insane MaryBeth"

I shrug

" Maybe, but right now I need to ice myself"

" Need me to run you an ice bath?"

" That would be lovely Ice Queen"

She flips me off Jo can turn water into ice it is a gift from the Goddess most vampires have one. She runs me a bath and I get in soaking myself hoping the phantom wings go away soon.

Connor

I couldn't help but feel like I was being watched last night. But it felt like a comfortable kind of thing not creepy or awkward. I told my men to have my room cleaned and check for cameras and bugs just incase.

I went to the gym this morning to see if MaryBeth was sparing but Jo told me she wasn't feeling well today but would be fine by dinner. I ordered a wellness basket for her and sent it to her room.

I catch up with Quinn and Jake to talk to them see if they can fill me in on the few years of MaryBeth's life that still seem to be missing from my research.

" Hey guys can we talk?"

Quinn smiles

" I was wondering when it would be our turn"

" I know both of you have a complicated past so I am going to skip that formality"

" That would be nice"

" What can you tell me about MaryBeth?"

" Not much that you don't already know honestly"

" What about her childhood do you know who her parent's where?"

Quinn shakes her head

" She doesn't talk about them they died from a rogue wolf attack when she was young. Grimes took her in and raised her as his own."

" Grimes?"

" Like Stanford Grimes?"

" Yeah"

" You know him?"

" He was my father's consultant but he left when he went mad"

" Oh um sorry"

" Don't worry about it thank you for the information though"

" Berkin bags and Daffodils right?"

She nods her head and I look at Jake

" Any thing to add Jacob?"

" I'm just the new guy man you know more than I do"

Quinn

MaryBeth has been coaching us on what to say when Connor asks about her. She said it was okay to mention Grimes and even the cover story about her parents.

When he walks away Jake looks at me and I smile and nod.

" Dinner tonight?"

" Sounds good baby"

I kiss him

" I love you enjoy surfing with the boys"

He wraps his arms around my waist

" I love you Quinn, enjoy shopping with the girls baby"

I head off and meet the girls at the coffee shop

" So what are we shopping for?"

Jo: " Dinner wear I am tired of wearing the same formal dresses"

Beth nods

" And I totally need a necklace or something"

" You don't wear Jewelry MaryBeth"

" Trying to impress here"

" Why? You already have the man totally swoon and haven't even tried."

" Maybe, but I like dressing up for him the complements make me smile"

We head out for shopping, I find the most gorgeous gown I have ever seen.

Dylan smiles

" You should wear that for Jake tonight"

" We are going on a date I don't think it will be that formal"

She shrugs

" Link him find out"

I smile and do just that

" Hey babe how formal can I dress tonight?"

" To the T baby it's a 5 star restaurant, Why?"

" Just wondering found the most amazing dress"

" Alright beautiful, I hope you are having fun"

He cuts the link and Beth buys the dress, I find some new heels to go with it and Beth is getting highlights in her hair so I have them fix mine all fancy. We go back to the ship and I get ready I walk out of the bathroom and the girls are all wearing different styles of dresses in the same nude pink color.

" What's with the Twinsies thing?"

Jo shrugs

" We didn't plan it, Connor invited us to the same restaurant so we didn't want you to walk alone"

I nod and we head out walking to the restaurant. When we get to the doors Beth grabs one and Jo grabs the other and Dylan links her arm around mine.

" Guys what's going on?"

Dylan smiles,

"We decided I was the one who should walk you down the Aisle"

" WHAT!!!"

They open the doors and Jake is standing at the front of a long Aisle. Connor as the officiant.

" Oh my Goddess"

Dylan pulls me and I start walking toward my amazing mate. When the hell did they plan all of this. Connor officiates the ceremony. He smiles at us as he says the words.

" I now pronounce you Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Salvone, Congratulations but you two are not allowed to jump ship"

I laugh

" Didn't plan on it"

We walk out and they even got a photographer to take pictures of us on the beach in the setting sun.

We walk back in the restaurant and it is back to normal, people sitting around eating and A huge table in the back Connor is sitting there reading a book waiting Patiently. We take our seats

" When did you guys plan all of this?"

Dylan giggles

" We have been planning it since your heat"

" But how did you get Connor to officiate?"

Connor smiles

" Anything to make MaryBeth and her friends happy"

" Thank you guys really this is amazing"

Beth smiles

" We arn't done you two still need to dance the night away"

" Umm, I'm in stilettos"

" I brought you some flats nice try though"

After we eat we head back to the beach where there is a canopied Dance floor and tables and chairs lit up by Icicle lights.

Jake pulls me on the dance floor

" Sorry if this was too much baby the girls went a little haywire"

I shake my head

" No this is amazing, I can't believe you helped do all of this"

" Beth insisted on paying for it but she did let me pay for your dress"

" I love it babe thank you for everything but mostly thank you for being my new husband"

He kisses me

" I love you Quinn Stacie Salvone"

" I love you Jacob Frederick Salvone"
