It was so nice spending time with Grimes he became like a father to me we docked this morning and he had to go catch his flight. It was sweet of Connor to bring him here but I still say there is something fishy going on with him.
Austin brought her a shirt by before they left this morning he is flying out from the port for something. I am just hoping it isn't s*x I hate seeing my best friend in so much pain.
Dylan and I decide to go surfing while MaryBeth and the other two are making a sand castle.
Dylan: " Do you think she will stay with him?"
I shrug
" No idea, if we find a way probably she does care for him and he is really sweet to her."
" For now what about when he finds out?"
I shrug again
" We will see I guess she can't avoid his touch forever we just need to make sure she does at least until we find answers."
" Have you wondered about yours?"
" My what Dylee?"
" Your mate"
" Well yeah, but I doubt he even exists anymore I have been alive for 700 years I think I would have ran in to him by now"
" What about you?"
" I don't think I have one I mean I was a coward when my parents died and still am for not taking my position"
" Your not a coward Dylee you were a kid, you deserve a mate more than any of us"
" Beg to differ but thanks"
We get out and head toward the others Beth and Quinn have buried poor Jake and are singing firebird by S.J. Tucker. I start laughing and dancing around with them joining in Dylan follows.
" I am a firebird I am his daughter I am the firebirds child"
Connor laughs behind us
" What are you guys singing?"
We all turn to him and Beth smiles
" S.J. Tucker"
" I thought you where leaving?"
" I am just wanted to drop something off"
" Connor I don't want anymore gifts"
" It isn't for you baby it is for the Birthday girl tomorrow"
I shake my head
" Wait what why did you get me a gift"
" My girls bestie deserves a special treat"
Beth: " Not your girl"
" You will be baby"
I smile
" What did you get me"
" You have to wait and see, Happy Birthday Jo"
He turns to walk away then turns back.
" Oh MaryBeth"
" What"
" I will see you in 3 days and I really like that swimsuit on you"
She bites her lip smiling
" Goodbye Connor have a good time"
" Bye baby"
He walks away and I turn smiling at Beth
" What Jo"
" That man is so damn swoon for you it is insanity"
" Hush"
I giggle and we pull Jake out of the sand then go grab some lunch.
MaryBeth
The girls wanted to go to a local bar tonight and tomorrow night. We get ready and I keep Connors modesty rule in mind. I can't help but respect the man I mean he is my mate. No matter the circumstances, I want to be connected to him.
Throughout the night I can feel Connor's anger through the bond. I can't sleep because he is so mad, I decide to fly around a bit and find his window open I slip in and cuddle myself into his bed. Sleep comes easy as I am surrounded by his scent.
I hear someone clear their throat and I jump up.
" Are you insane what happens if he catches you in here"
" s**t I thought you guys were gone"
" We were he came back early, get the hell out of here MaryBeth"
I nod
" Distract them?"
" Got your back now go before someone sees you"
Austin walks out of the room and I fly out the window as high as I can then dive into my room. I lay down catching my breath then get up and change for the gym. Connor is waiting outside his door and smiles.
" I was hoping to catch you"
" Why is something wrong?"
" No, not really but I just wanted to ask you a question?"
" And that would be?"
" Why where you in my room?"
" s**t, ummm not sure honestly"
" MaryBeth you won't let me touch you but your scent is all over my bed"
" Just come take a nap with me you obviously want me"
" I'm going to the gym, I'm sorry I was in your room it won't happen again"
" Oh it will see every day that you decide not to let me touch you. You will be required to lay in my bed so your scent rubs off in it"
" Why would I do that?"
" Because it's an order baby and obviously you like my scent to so we will trade pillows every other day"
I bite my lip
" Connor I..."
" Don't fight it MaryBeth do as you are told"
I nod and walk away before my body over rides my brain and kisses him right now.
Connor
We where attacked three days ago by hunters, I went to check on my kingdom. I had a really bad night and decided to just fly back to the ship. When I got there MaryBeth wasn't in my room but I could smell her everywhere. I have come to love that smell, she smells so sweet I curled on my bed for a minute enjoying it. She was curled up with my pillow so it has her on it. I sent Austin to find out how she got in but honestly don't care. It makes me happy knowing she likes my scent and missed me yesterday.
I made the deal with her to try and convince her to let me hold her. I know it is going to take some time but I am damn happy I at least get to smell her surrounding me from now on.
Austin: " Sir she stole a key card from the maid cart"
" Damn she is a smartass, thank you Austin"
" Sir what are your intentions with MaryBeth?"
" Why?"
" She is a sweet young woman Sir and my sisters best friend. I would hate to see her get hurt"
" I plan to make her your Queen, there is something intoxicating about her. I just have to get her to come around and want to be mine."
" I understand Sir"
He walks out and I lay back in my pillows falling asleep. I get up and get ready for Jo's birthday party.

Beth told me the new stipulations of her relationship with Conner.
" What happens if he slips in and touches you?"
" I will lock the door"
" Goddess Beth what where you thinking"
" I don't know Jo I missed him I wasn't expecting him to come back"
" Honestly I am lucky Austin is the one who caught me in there"
Someone knocks on the door
" Damnit who is that?"
" I'm guessing the pillow trade"
She opens the door and Austin walks in holding a bag
" Switch the pillows in the bag the King doesn't want anyone tainting your scent"
She nods and takes it to her room I look at my brother.
" She is freaking insane we still have 46 days before we get close. What happens if she gives in?"
" She won't, no matter the feelings Beth has for him she knows it is too dangerous until we get answers."
He nods
" Just keep an eye on her and put a damn lock on that window"
" Will do Austie"
He hugs me
" Happy birthday little sister glad I get to celebrate with you"
I nod
" Thanks big brother"
Beth comes back with the bag handing it to Austin then returning to her room.
After a few hours I head to my birthday dinner with Quinn, Dylan, and Jake. Beth left 2 hours ago to do something her Burkin duffel in hand. We get to a small restaurant and there is a table set up in the center with all my favorite food. I almost cry Beth is the best cook in the world to me.
She comes out with chicken Masala and smiles
" Happy birthday JoJo"
" Goddess woman you are the best"
She smiles
" I even made brick butter"
I smile and we all sit down to eat Connor joins us and eats more than any of us.
" Who the hell cooked this I need to hire them as a cook"
I laugh
" That would be your girlfriend"
Beth flips me off
" Not his damn girlfriend"
" Close enough"
We all start laughing I open my presents, Connor got me a Vancleef and Arpels necklace my favorite brand they are very rare.
" Um wow thank you how did you know they where my favorite?"
" MaryBeth told me I had no idea what to get you"
Beth got me a new Tiffany's bracelet. Dylan got me a day at the salon with her tomorrow, and Quinn and Jake got me a new Dooney bag.
" Awe you all know me so well"
Dylan laughs
" I would hope so happy birthday JoJo"
We head to the Bar and Connor pays for our drinks talks to Beth for a while and then takes his leave. I party hard not every day a girl turns 700. Beth parties with me,I love when she is carefree it has been rare since we started the cruise she always has to be on her guard when Connor is around.
" How's your Birthday JoJo?"
" The best Yet Sissy thank you"
She smiles and we head back to the ship together soaking in our hot tub then passing out on the couch together.
