I sigh rolling over in bed cuddling into Connors pillow.

" Marybeth baby you there?"

" Yeah" I grab the phone groaning

" I just found out I will be out of service range for the next few days"

" Wait what?"

" I'm sorry beautiful I didn't know but I will call you. the moment I can okay?"

I sigh

" Be careful Connor please"

" Worried about me now are you?"

" Yes asshole you are my king after all"

" I will be fine my Queen"

" Connor"

" Yeah yeah I know I will call soon okay"

" Okay be careful"

I hang up I have a weird feeling and have since he left. I know it's probably nothing I mean he is the king of vampires he can handle himself.

I sigh crawling out of bed and getting dressed then meet the family for breakfast and head to the gym.

everyone went to port so I decided to soak in the hot tub in mine and Jo's suite

Joanna

" Ahh would you stop it" Ondele chuckles tickling me

" Or what Joanna?"

I turn giggling as I kiss him he leans his head to mine

" I love you Dele"

" I love you baby girl"

Tavi wraps his arms around me and I lean back kissing him over my shoulder

" Mm and I love you"

he chuckles

" I love you baby girl"

" Maybe we should go check on Beth I know she is missing Connor"

they both agree and we head back to the ship I feel like something is off as we approach our suite but I have no idea what's going on.

MARYBETH

The door to the suite opens as I lean against the hot tub I keep my eyes closed listening to the music.

I feel a presence behind me and before I can blink my eyes open I'm shoved more in the tub and pushed under the water.

my eyes glaze over I can't breathe what is happening it feels like I'm drowning and being stabbed at the same time who is this who would hurt me.

JOANNA

We get to the suite and the door is ajar, I hear flailing from the hot tub and both of my boys bust in at full force the sight before my eyes is defining in its own way. The woman that Connor had a s*x marathon with is choking the life out of Beth as she drowns her.

The boys grab her and I jump in pulling Beth out. She is choking for air.

" Connor!!"

The woman laughs

" He's dead b*tch and you will be too you all will we are superior!"

I see Beth's light spark and zoom grabbing my boys from the suite as it flairs. When we walk back in the room is charred. Beth is passed out and I grab her in my arms crying

" Don't do this wake up Marybeth please wake up"

Ondele grabs me

" Baby baby shh we need to find out what happened to Connor if he does so does Beth"

" No no she can't die she can't die"

I am a sobbing mess Tavi kisses my head

" I will go find him get her to his room the scent will prolong her a bit"

I nod and Dele helps me take her to Connors suite.

it's been three days I miss Tavi so much he has been checking in with Dele but I can't stand not being able to to hear his voice myself. there is still no sign of Connor and the call he got was a setup the Faye seem to be working with the hunters.

Last night Dele caught someone sneaking in Connors room and I am pretty sure they were trying to k.ill Beth but she is already on the verge of dying.

" Connor"

I stroke her hair and sigh

" Shh Beth it's okay"

Dylan Quinn and I have taken up residency in bed with Beth. I sigh closing my eyes

" Jo I don't think she has much longer"

I nod

" I know meaning Connor doesn't either let's just pray Jake and Tavi find him soon"

" Tree bright"

Dylan looks up from her tears

" What did she say?'

" Tree bright?"

" Judena they are at Judena"

I look over at Dele and he nods linking his brother I turn to Dylan

" How do you know?"

" The tree of bright stars it's in my territory"

Layla sighs

" Baby there is a guarantee it could mean something else she is in shock"

I stroke Beth's hair closing my eyes and praying to the Goddess once again.

OCTAVIOUS

We have been searching for days my brother links me to try the territory of the lost pack so Jake climbs on my back as I fly us there we are about 100 miles south of that by now. We get there landing and see the tree of bright stars. We start searching around it

" TAVI!"

I run to where Jake is Connor is hidden inside the tree we pry him out taking off we head toward my thunder it's the closest place to get help.

We get him to the hospital and Jake sighs

" We should get back to the ship"

" Yeah how she holding up?"

" Not good according to Quinn Jo isn't either she is worried about you"

I sigh rubbing my hand through my hair

" I really need to mark that girl I'm dying not talking to her"

he chuckles

" Let's go home and you can do that"

We head back to the ship and I am attacked as we walk in the suite by millions of sweet kisses

" Goddess I was so worried about you"

I chuckle kissing her again

" Hush baby I'm fine"

She wraps around me not letting go and I walk her back to our suite Dele said they fixed it from the fire the other night. I'm just glad to be back home to my beautiful mate.
