Chapter Ten

Elle’s POV

“Where are we going Nick?” I ask with a pout. Currently we are walking, and I have a blindfold covering my eyes. I hate surprises.

“You’ll just have to wait and see my love.” I can hear the smirk in his voice. That jerk is enjoying my need to know what is happening.

After ten more minutes of walking he finally says, “Okay, we’re here. You can take off the blindfold.”

I am met with the most beautiful site. A meadow filled with flowers and a gorgeous waterfall. I gasp at the view. “It’s beautiful.”

“Yes, yes you are.” Nick says looking right at me. I hit his arm causing that annoyingly sexy smirk to come across his face.

“Want to go swimming? There’s something I want to show you.”

I nod with excitement clear in my eyes. We strip down to our swimsuits and jump into the warm water. “Over here, under the waterfall” He shouts as I come up from below the water.

He leads me to the waterfall and just past the water is a hidden cave. As we get near, I can see twinkling lights illuminating the inside of the cave. There’s fluffy blankets spread on the ground, with tons of pillows scattering the floor. A box of pizza in the center of the room with some iced tea. A tv set up on the wall of the cave. It’s amazing. The most romantic first date I could have asked for.

“Do you like it?” He asks hesitantly.

“I love it!” I squeal jumping on him. He spins me around before placing me back onto the ground. “I thought we could watch movies, eat pizza, and talk.” “I’d love that!” He smiles so big I think his face may split in half.

“I love you so much baby. I’m sorry for all the pain I have caused you these last few days.” His eyes shone with unshed tears. My big bad player Alpha is on the verge of tears. How can I stay mad at him when he looks at me like that?

“I love you too.” I croak trying not to cry.

We spent the next few hours watching 50 First Dates, eating the most delicious pizza, and talking about the future and everything he wants to do for the pack. It was a great night, but I couldn’t help but miss Luca. My wolf wanted both her mates with us, and so did I.

“You’re quiet, what’s wrong?” I looked up at Nick and gave him a small smile. How could I tell him that I loved tonight, but I miss Luca without hurting him? “You miss Luca.” It wasn’t a question, but a statement. “What? Why would you think that?” I asked.

“Baby you realize we marked each other, right?”

“Yeah…and?” I was so confused. What did that have to do with anything.

“I can hear your thoughts, love.” He answered with his best smirk.

Damnit. How the hell am I supposed to think without getting embarrassed now? And why can’t I hear his thoughts? “Because my blocks up currently. I don’t want to scare you with all the dirty thoughts I’m having of you.” He said with a heart throbbing laugh.

“How do I block them?” I asked. He gave me his mischievous smile, “I don’t know if I should tell you. It is quite entertaining hearing everything that goes on in that beautiful head of yours.”

“Hey! That’s not fair!” I whine while slapping his arm.

“Hey guys!” I look up to see my other gorgeous mate entering the cave. I couldn’t help but squeal and jump into his arms. “What are you doing here!?” I asked. “Well a little birdie told me that my baby missed me.” I look over to Nick with a thankful smile. “I figured we had enough time alone and you deserved to have both of your mates for the rest of the night.” “Thank you, Nick. That was very thoughtful of you.” I said kissing both my boys on the cheek.

“So, is there any pizza left for me?” Luca asked with a smile. “Yeah dude I saved you a couple slices.”

“Wait, how did you know that he was going to come?” “Baby we’ve planned on Luca joining us from the beginning. We knew your wolf would want both her mates with her. I just wanted a few hours alone with you.” Nick quickly answered. I couldn’t stop smiling at them both. I loved them so much and I couldn’t imagine another day without either of them.

“Luca?” I called. “Yeah love. What’s up?”

“How do I block my thoughts from you guys? Nick won’t tell me.” He laughed his beautiful laugh and looked at me. He kissed my nose and said, “Well, as much as I would love to hear everything that goes through your head. I guess it’s only fair to give you the option of closing us off. Basically, it’s the same as when you block your wolf out.” Ahhh! that makes sense.

“Damnit Luca, you shouldn’t have told her. She goes on the longest tangents in her head. It’s very entertaining!” Whined Nick. I giggled at his childish antics. He really was adorable when he was being his true self, and not the arrogant jerk he let everyone think he was.

All of a sudden, a girl’s voice broke through our giggles. “Baby what are you doing here with your brother and that slut? How could you bring another girl to our secret spot?” That’s when my blood ran cold. Jenny. Nick’s latest conquest, who he told multiple times how much he couldn’t wait to make her his Luna. He brought me where he brings any other girls. Of course, he did.
