Chapter 9
Nadia listened as Hilary explained to them that Hanna was on her way to Adelaide with Nicki.
'She's agreed to let him see her?' said Nadia, not quite believing what she'd just heard.
'She left the decision to Nicki,' said Hilary. 'She wants to help.'
Nadia glanced at Harry. She took in the smile on his face but wondered how much faith they could invest in the word of a ten-year-old. She told herself to stay calm, she'd witnessed stranger things than a young girl defusing a volatile situation.
'When will they be here?' said Nadia.
'It's about a seven to eight hour drive from Shepparton, and she wasn't leaving until sometime this morning,' said Hilary. 'DI Williams will call me when she arrives.'
