Cameron watched as Naomi finished eating a plate of the best ribs he’d ever tasted. There was sauce at the edge of her lips, and she’d eaten almost her entire plate along with the cornbread and slaw that had come with the three rib bones—a woman with an appetite. She wiped her hands with a paper napkin from the stack on the picnic table at this outdoor restaurant, which was packed. He had a beer in front of him and one for Naomi. This was the kind of place he’d never have been able to take any of the women he’d dated before, including Kari, who’d have never dared to set foot there.
