Me

^Loras point of view^   It’s been two days since Lora met scavengers, Aron, Kyle, Felix, and Sarah, since then they welcomed Lora to join them in hopes of searching for some extra supplies so she could live on her own. She didn’t want to force herself to these people, so she insisted on staying alone, even if they were more than happy to accept her into their group. Right now, she was with Sarah, she was a bit shorter than Lora, but it seemed that she was training a lot since you could easily notice her ripped muscles, there were a couple of small scars visible too, but the thing that made her stand out was her black her, even in these living conditions they seemed to be shining and that went well with her blue eyes. ‘I bet she was popular with guys before all of this’ Lora thought, ‘But now she seems to be able to kick a lot of ass just by herself” Lora kept on thinking while walking with Sarah. ‘So Lora, what brought you here to look for food in the first place’ Sarah asked. ‘I used to visit my friends here before all of this started, so I knew the layout of the town quite well, and I expected to have better luck of surviving that way’ Lora said while remembering what happened that day. ‘Well you are still alive so I suppose you were right’ Sarah said with a huge smile on her face. That made Lora blush and after a bit laugh too. ‘What are you two giggling about there?’ Felix asked coming from another street. Felix was a short blonde guy, his skin light, but not pale, so he always looked like he was reflecting the sun, or at least that was the joke that Kyle said more than a dozen times. ‘Lora here was telling me how you looked like you are about to start sparkling like you were in “Twilight” am I right Lora’ Sarah said with the biggest grin on her face. This was the first time Lora saw Sarah saying something like this, and it kind of threw Lora off, but she smiled with a grin as big as Sarah had. ‘Sorry Felix but you do look like that’ Lora said, and both girls started to laugh. ‘ See I told you, Felix, you are a vampire, you just don’t know it yourself” Kyle popped out of nowhere, he seemed to be even more happy than usual. ‘Kyle this joke wasn’t fun the first time, and it’s not fun after the hundredth time as well.’ Felix said and turned around.  Kyle approached the girls and winked at them. Kyle was the youngest one in their group, but he was the most agile one, so he spent a lot of time on rooftops and trees looking for any walking creatures or other humans.  He had short brown hair and dark brown eyes, that combined with his tan skin tone made him look almost like he was a foreigner. ‘Come on everyone let’s go back to Aron he said that we should return to him around this time, and everything should be ready for the thing’ Kyle said while leading the group towards the exit of the town. ‘The thing?’ Lora asked feeling puzzled. ‘Lora is patient, you will see soon enough.’ Sarah said and gave Lora a tiny nudge. Lora felt a bit scared, what was this thing that they were speaking about, have they decided to finally kill her. She couldn’t believe such a thing, because they were all amazing people, even more so they were like a family, and ever since they met her they were all but nice to her. ‘Lora I am sorry but for this last section I need to cover your eyes, don’t worry nothing bad will happen to you, promise.’ Kyle said showing a black piece of clothing in his hands. ‘Oh okay,’ Lora said with her voice shaking a bit. Soon Lora couldn’t see a thing and all she felt was two hands leading her somewhere. After what felt like five or ten minutes they stopped, and it sounded like they went through some sort of gate and after a few more minutes, it felt like they have entered some sort of building. ‘Well Lora you can remove your blindfold now’ Lora recognized Aron’s voice. And Lora was shocked at what she saw. She was in the same green where she fought for her life just a few days ago, and what was even more impressive was that it was now laying in perfect position straight in from where she stood. ‘Lora, we gathered here for two reasons. The first one is the fact that you killed your very first creature right here in this house. The second one is the fact that four of us all agreed to make you are a full-time scavenger,’ Aron said with a proud voice. ‘Do you Lora, killer of green-house creature accept to start your life as a scavenger and keep the ways of being one to yourself and your fellow scavengers?” Sarah asked. ‘I do’ Lora answered with confidence in her voice. ‘Do you swear to help out your fellow scavenger even it means risking your own life?’ Kyle asked. ‘I do’ Lora answered once again. ‘And do you agree that I am not a vampire that shines in the sun?’ Felix asked, and everyone laughed. ‘I do’ Lora said while trying to do her best not to laugh out loud. ‘Well then Lora, as leader of this scavenger’s group, I Aron welcome you to our family.’ ‘Thank you that was all Lora managed to say and then she started to cry, she felt so happy, she had a family after all these years once again.   All of them then embraced Lora and left the house together as one big family. [Authors note] I wanted to thank every single person who read these few chapters. Writing this story was a roller coaster up until now, but the story of two people that met in a small village is far from over, so I hope that you will keep on reading this story and have as much fun as I have while writing it.
