Perhaps I had gotten my hopes up too soon. What if she was just stringing me along for her own purposes? I glanced at Tamryn, who was studying her. Claudia caught it and for a moment, I was sure I saw a glimpse of fear cross her face.
“Well, there was a rumor that some of the girls who were slated to move on were shacking up in one of the rental properties while they waited for their travel arrangements. I don’t how they got found out but once someone who cared caught wind, other travel plans had to be made.” She offered me a knowing look. “Getting the right stuff together to travel abroad can take a lot of time if you know what I mean.” I didn’t but nodded so that she would continue.
