New Life

----New Life---- The omegas had shown everyone to their rooms as we unpacked.  Thankfully, everyone had their own private rooms here so I wouldn't need to explain my birthmark.   I looked around at my new room as thoughts of how I would decorate it popped into my mind.  Finding my pale blue fabric, I immediately made a curtain for my window.  I didn't need anyone seeing me change! We were told that the ceremony would occur tonight along with a banquet to welcome us.  We were also told to wear our most formal apparel. Sighing, I saw a golden dress that was floor length with a tiny train in the back.  Luna May insisted that I wore it because 'it would bring out my eyes.'   I couldn't disobey an order from my Luna and from the mother figure that had taken me in and raised me so I went to change. The dress hugged my curves as if it were made for me but I secretly wish that I had the breasts to compensate.  I growled at how much attention this would give me.  I hated to stick out but it seemed like everyone in my life wanted to throw me out into the spotlight.  It was so much safer in the shadows. I pulled my windswept golden locks up as I made a strand curl around my face.  I actually didn't look terrible for once. The bell sounded, signifying that the ceremony was going to begin shortly.  Leaving my room, I followed the rest of my pack out to the courtyard where there were tables lined up and a stage.  We gathered together, standing at the stage and waited. I saw the white-haired Alpha being followed by a brown haired girl.   "That must be his mate."  I thought but I saw him quickly grab her wrist and mutter something to her which made her stop following him. "The poor girl, she probably was just trying to follow her mate."  I thought as I watched the display.  I felt a pang in my chest as I thought of him with a mate.  Growing confused, I pinched myself gently to knock myself out of it. "Don't get any ideas.  He doesn't even know you exist.  He has a mate."  I thought as I saw another man come up to Caspian. His pitch black hair reminded me of a moonless night as his smile was infectious.  Caspian also seemed to relax a bit around him.  Ugh, why was I watching Caspian's behaviors?! Beth stood beside me as the raven haired man came into view.  She dropped the book she had and couldn't keep her eyes off of the man. "Hey, Earth to Beth.. yoo hoo?"  I waved my hand in front of her face as she snapped out of it.  She quickly shook her head and grabbed her book, hyper focusing on it until the ceremony started. Alpha Caspian cleared his throat as he began to speak. "Welcome Sen Pack to the Angel Moon Pack.  Tonight, we will merge the two packs into one to ensure our prosperity, our safety, and most importantly, our bloodlines for years to come.  First, we will perform the ceremony and then we will feast and have a bonfire.  My omegas will be at your service tonight so any omegas from the Sen Pack will have the night off." His eyes scanned the crowd for a moment to take in their reactions.   "We will now start the ceremony."  Pausing, his eyes fell to mine again before turning a pure black until he quickly regained his normal red eyes.  What was that?! He smoothly moved his eyes away from me after a minute and spoke. "All Sen Pack, repeat after me: I cast off my kinship to the Sen Pack." The crowd murmured the words as a red aura enveloped the crowd and disappeared in a flash. "I, Alpha Caspian Trevino, take the wolves infront of me into my pack, the Angel Moon Pack.  Do you accept and give your allegiance to me?" "Yes, Alpha."  We all said in unison before a pale moonlit blue enveloped each of us and vanished.  We all noticed a moon with angel wings wrapped around it on our wrists. "Congratulations.  You are now part of our pack.  Please take a seat and enjoy your evening."  Caspian didn't smile or really show any emotion at all.  Afterwards, he left the stage. "Come on!"  My friends grabbed me and brought me over to a table to sit down. "Doesn't this look delicious?!"  Brandy exclaimed as her eyes hungrily sized up the food. "Oh, that black haired gentleman was really cute--"  Brandy was immediately interrupted by a possessive growl. We all paused, looking over to see Beth turning bright red and not fully realizing that the growl came from her. "Ooooo, Beth has a crush!!!"  Belle squealed happily, causing Beth to bury her head in her book. I giggled at my friends.  I truly loved them and hoped that our friendship would last forever.  I adored seeing them happy and their fun, little quirks. The food was fully served as we dug in.  How did the food taste even better here?  Maybe I was too paranoid back home and the Angel Moon Pack would be a fine new home! The bonfire was lit shortly after and music started to play. "Uh, excuse me, miss?  I hate to trouble you when you seemed so consumed in that book.  I was hoping if I could steal you away for a few moments to dance?"  The tall, black haired man came up to Beth and asked. Beth stared at the man, absolutely shocked but put her book down and got up. "My name is Eric.  I'm the beta here at Angel Moon and also the little brother of no personality Caspian."  He smirked. "My name is Beth.  It's a pleasure to meet you."  Beth blushed brightly as Eric lead her to the dance floor. "May I have this dance, Belle?"  A familiar voice said as we saw Alek come up. Practically jumping up from the table, Belle excitedly dragged Alek off to dance as he laughed heartily. "Excuse me, may I ask you to dance, my beautiful princess?"  A muscular man with sandy blonde hair came up to Brandy.  She played it cooler than the rest of the girls before agreeing. I sat there at the table by myself watching my friends dancing and having fun.  Smiling to myself, I only wished for their happiness. "If you ask me, I think they saved the best for last."  The guard from earlier came over and sat next to me with a grin.  His dress shirt showed off his muscles as he was definitely handsome with a goatee and dark brown hair. "May I repay your kindness with a dance?"  He asked me as I watched my friends. "Oh, uh, I can't dance!"  I laughed, embarrassed. "It's okay.  I'll teach you."  He smiled warmly and took my hand. He led me to the dance floor and placed his arm around my small waist.  Taking my hand in his other hand, he blushed for a moment.  "You're absolutely beautiful.  Now, follow my lead."   "Take.  Your hands. Off of her."  A pissed off voice sounded as I froze in place. "Alpha?  I'm sorry!  I was just trying to teach her how to dance."  The guard abandoned our dance and stood next to me. "Now, get lost."  Caspian seethed as the guard scrambled out of Caspian's sight much like a cockroach to light. I stood there absolutely confused and mortified as everyone had stopped and stared at us. Caspian took one look at me in my dress as his eyes turned black again.  Just as soon as it occurred, his eyes became normal again and he stormed off without saying a word. The brown haired girl from earlier shot daggers at me with her eyes. What in the hell was happening? ----Birthday---- ***Camila's POV*** The following days were uneventful as I slowly became accustomed to life in the Angel Moon Pack.  I didn't see much of Caspian and my heart ached oddly at that fact. I did see that brown haired bimbo around quite a bit though.   Belle and I were assigned to the kitchen as we prepared meals for the pack.  We managed to get a few fans of our cooking as some of the fighters would hang around to chat with us. It felt nice to find friends in the other pack but I mostly let Belle have the attention, even though we both knew who she really wanted the attention from. Carrying a dish out of the kitchen, I suddenly felt myself fly forward.  The dish flew forward, shattering on the floor as I braced myself for the fall. Hitting the ground, I let out a yelp of pain and looked up to see that brown haired wench. "Oh, oops.  Looks like you need to watch where you're going.  I have to admit though, that's where your place will be when I'm Luna.  You best remember that you're beneath me."  She smirked and walked off, stepping on my hand with her heel in the process. "Are you okay?!  What happened?"  Belle rushed out to help me clean up.  My knee was scraped and bloodied from the fall. "I… just think I was tripped by that brown haired b***h that lusts after Caspian."  I scowled, sitting up. "Madelyn?  I heard she sleeps with everything that moves here.  Even our old pack has had a turn!"  Belle shook her head and helped me up. Brandy came in with some clean kitchen towels as she saw my bloodied knee. "What happened?!"  She rushed over. "Madelyn tripped her.  She seems like she has some sort of vendetta against Cami."  Belle growled. "Let me at her!  I'll knock her down a few pegs!"  Brandy hissed as I shook my head. "It's okay.  No need.  Karma will get her as the Moon Goddess is always watching." Belle and Brandy both huffed at my dismissive remark.  I just didn't want them fighting my battles. The girls took me back to clean and bandage my knee. "By the way, Cami!  Your birthday is tomorrow!  You'll be seventeen and you'll be swept away by your mate."  Belle teased me as I turned red. "Hush!!!"  I looked away while I noticed the two girls give each other a look. "Well, we have a small birthday party planned for you tomorrow.  It'll be a surprise though, so don't try to extort the information out of us!"  Brandy warned while placing her hands on her hips. "Don't worry, I won't.  By the way, have you ladies been seeing your guys since the welcoming party?"  I grinned. The two girls sucked in a gasp, turning red before they both fled back to their respective tasks. Giggling, I knew how to make my friends scatter and avoid their questions. The dinner came and went.  Before I knew it, the warmth of my bed enveloped me and I quickly fell asleep. "Good morning, my little one, and happy birthday.  I'm excited for you to meet your wolf today."  A voice purred as I opened an eye to see that I was fully alone. The voice made me smile as I yawned sleepily.  I knew exactly who that was. "Thank you, I'm excited to meet her too."  I whispered as I got up. From what I've heard, I would morph into my wolf when the moon was high in the sky tonight.  I, then, would have a run with the Alpha. Oh s**t, the Alpha.  It wasn't going to be Alpha Darius, but it would be Alpha Caspian.  My heart raced at the thought.  I would be alone with him. Getting dressed, I went out to do my duties as an omega.  There were a bunch of pack members that wished me 'happy birthday' while I blushed, thanked them, and moved on. Dusk fell upon the pack grounds as I was told to stay in the courtyard.  "Happy birthday to you!"  Singing came from the door to the kitchen as Brandy carried a beautiful white cake topped with strawberries and blueberries.  Following her, Belle and Beth held presents in their hands. Gasping, my hands flew up to my mouth.   "Girls!  Oh my goddess.  You didn't have to!"  I couldn't help but smile.  "Nonsense, we wouldn't miss your birthday for the world."  Beth smiled softly. The girls placed the cake and presents on a small table.   Eating the cake, the girls begged for me to open the presents.  Laughing a bit, I slowly and deliberately held off on opening the gifts to drive them crazy. Finally giving up the rouse, I opened the presents.  I saw a blue crystal wolf in one box and a hand drawn picture of the four of us.  On the back, they all wrote personal notes to me around a larger message. "Thank the Moon Goddess for bringing you to us.  We love you!" Tears came to my eyes as I hugged each of them. "Thank you, it's so beautiful!  You girls are my sisters, forever and ever." The night slowly arrived and the girls retired for the evening.  Apprehension gripped me like if I had hands around my throat.  It felt hard to breathe thinking that we would be alone.  I knew I couldn't avoid the tradition and soon, Caspian would come. I heard another voice in my head, different from this morning.  Her voice was smooth and silvery.  I couldn't wait to see what she looked like. "Hello, darling.  It is nice to finally meet you.  My name is Eris.  I am your other half; your wolf."   "Hello, Eris.  It's nice to meet you.  I look forward to our first run!"  I smiled softly as I mind linked to her. Suddenly, Eris grew restless and I couldn't understand why.  Her whimpers sounded in my mind as I looked around. …And then I saw him.
