After coming out of her boss’s office, Veronica went to Ms. Matthews’s cabin, with the reports in her hand. She didn’t forget to knock at the door this time. When she went inside after hearing a ‘come in’, she just couldn’t believe her eyes. Holy Christ! It’s she! The one who was sitting behind the desk looked up, wondering why she didn’t hear anything from the one who had just come in. They both stared at each other dumbfounded for god knows how long. And then they squealed in unison.
She got up from the desk and ran towards Veronica and wrapped her in a hug tightly. Veronica hugged her back, putting her head on her shoulder and mumbled, ‘I missed you, Unnie ( older sister in Korean)!’
They drew back. They both had tears in their eyes.
Isabella Matthews is an elder sister for Veronica… a sister from another mother… her best friend. They met each other after years later. Isabella wiped the tears from Veronica’s face and whispered, “I missed you too, Vicky.” And just then the door burst open, revealing a worried and furious Edwin Roberts. He stormed inside, pushed Isabella from Veronica, and held Veronica by her shoulder.
“Are you alright, little one? Are you hurt? Do you feel any pain?” Edwin fired his questions at Veronica and examined her for any possible injury and hurt. Veronica was staring at him with wide eyes. Edwin sighed in relief as she shook her head. They both stared at each other until they heard bickering noises.
“What the f**k are you doing here?” Isabella’s voice echoed inside the room. She was glaring at the person in front of her. It’s the same guy who was inside Veronica’s boss’s office a while ago.
“Why should I tell you?” Sam sneered at her, putting more emphasis on the word ‘you’, pointing a finger at Isabella.
“You were following me? You p*****t stocker!” Isabella was fuming with anger. Veronica had never seen her argue with someone like this. She was a reasonable person. She always speaks logically.
“Am I that useless? And wait… What did you just call me? p*****t stocker! Do you know who I am?” Sam snarled in a voice that could shake the entire room. But Isabella was standing in front of him firmly, not even flinching.
“Ooh… Trust me, I don’t have the tiniest interest in knowing who the hell you are. Just get the f**k out of my office!” she shouted with the same intensity.
“Your office!” Sam scoffed. “I am the COO of this company, I can fire you right away if I want to,” he stated, crossing his arms over his chest.
“Oh really! You know, you must need a reason to fire someone and I am pretty much sure you don’t have one. Instead, I have a good reason to sue you!” Isabella jeered, poking her index finger into Sam’s chest.
Edwin and Veronica were staring at their way, startled. “It seems…” Edwin started, “familiar,” and Veronica completed his sentence. Of course, it looks familiar they have done this every time they were at the office since they met. Veronica and Edwin looked at each other and then at their friends bickering. Seeing their bickering was going nowhere, Edwin stepped forward, grabbed his friend’s collar from behind, and dragged him to his office.
“Bloody fucker!” Isabella mumbled as she walked to Veronica. “What happened to you now?” she asked Veronica, observing her expression.
“That bastard was playing with me!” Veronica screamed out as Edwin’s earlier action replayed in her mind.

“What the hell is wrong with you? Why were you bickering with Ms. Matthews? I haven’t seen you argue with a girl before,” Edwin asked Sam as they settled on the couch.
“She is one hell of a woman,” Sam stated as he leaned back on the couch and imagined Isabella’s face. He didn’t know what he was feeling… anger, happiness, or sadness. The one thing he knows is that the feeling is weird, which he has never felt before.
Sam sighed as the last two nights started to replay in his mind. The same night, Edwin and Veronica meet. Sam was enjoying his nightlife in the club as usual. He was dancing on the floor surrounded by the girls who wanted him for the night. The music was booming inside the walls.
And out of nowhere a lean, black-eyed, red-headed woman stepped inside the club and stormed toward the dance floor. Sam’s back was facing her; he was in his own world… flirting with girls around him. He turned back as he felt a tap on his shoulder. But before he could see her face, a loud clank sound echoed inside the room, his cheek stung at the intensity of the collision between that woman’s hand and his face. The music stopped. Everyone at the club paused and stared in their direction.
He turned his face to that woman. Sam’s eyes widened for a while, and the side of his cheek tingled where she slapped him. His nostrils filled with the smell of fresh honey which was coming from her. His heart was beating loudly as if his dead heart was being revived one more time.
Sam’s eyes were stuck on her face while he whispered, “Why did you slap me?” That girl was stunned to see Sam’s face too.
“I… I…” she was about to answer when her eyes fell upon someone behind Sam. A scowl appeared on her beautiful face. She pushed Sam aside and walked in the direction where a man and woman were busy sucking each other's faces. Sam was looking at her amusement-filled eyes. She pulled them apart and slapped the guy’s face. Dude! Her slap hurts.
“You mother fucker! How dare you cheat on me!” she yelled at that guy. She's got a bad mouth, huh! Then she grabbed his collar and kicked at his balls. Ouch! That hurts. Sam smirked at her feisty little attitude. The guy fell to the ground holding his balls and groaned as she punched at his face. ‘She's got some fighting spirit too,’ he thought.
Giving him one last kick, she went straight to the bar and ordered some vodka. Sam couldn’t help but walk toward her.
“Hi. I am Samuel Anderson,” he introduced himself to her, extending his hand. She stared at his hand for a while before looking in another direction, sipping her drink.
“So?” She asked uninterestedly.
“You slapped me without any reason,” Sam stated, leaning on the bar. She looked up at Sam, muttered a small sorry, and looked away, taking another sip of her drink.
“Only sorry?”
“Do I need to sleep with you to show my apology?” she said nonchalantly, without looking at Sam. Sam smirked.
“Well… Well. Not a bad idea,” he replied smugly. Hearing Sam’s words she looked at him, putting her hand under her chin and smiling sweetly.
“Hotel?” she asked seductively.
“Good choice,” Sam smirked. She is bold.
“Then let’s go,” she put her glass down, grabbed his collar, and led him towards the exit. ‘She is hot… how she walks, how she flips her hair in the air, is sooo cool,’ Sam mused.
When they stepped outside, she turned to face Sam and snacked her arms around his neck. She brushed her finger down his nose, lips, and jawline. Sam’s heart was beating louder than ever. His manhood hardens at her simple touch. No other woman had this effect on him and how much she affected him. She leaned closer to him, her lips brushing his cheek. Just then he felt a sharp pain in his manhood.
‘f**k! Did she just kick me where the sun doesn’t shine!’ Sam hissed in pain, clasping his hand over his manhood.
“This is what I do when someone flirts with me,” she whispered to her ears, then pulled back with a smirk. “And listen you fucker, if I ever saw you in front of me I will grab your little buddy and rip it off from your crotch,” she left after threatening Sam. He stared at her back until she disappeared before groaning out in pain.

A burst of loud laughter echoed through the room as Sam described why he was bickering with that feisty little woman. Sam glared at his best friend who was still laughing his ass off, holding his stomach.
“Wait… So you are telling me, Isabella Matthews, is your mate, and she kicked your family jewel as your first-time meeting gift?” Edwin asked in between his laugh.
“Will you just shut up! I couldn’t even move for the f*****g 3 hours!” hearing Sam, Edwin couldn’t help but started laughing loudly. “Come on! Stop laughing and give me some idea how to court her,” Edwin choked his laughter when hearing the word ‘court’ from Sam’s mouth and straightened up.
“You wanna court her? Didn’t you say you don’t need a mate?” Edwin asked him surprisingly.
“Dude, it’s fun having a feisty little mate!” Sam’s eyes were glowing with amusement. Edwin scoffed.
“I know the feeling very well of having a feisty mate,” Edwin mumbled. Just as Edwin finished his sentence, the door swung open and a fuming Veronica stormed inside.
“Edwin William Roberts, if you dare to step in front of my apartment today, I will skin you alive,” giving Edwin the warning, she stormed outside his cabin just as the way she came in.
Sam and Edwin stared at the doorway, shocked, before, “Birds of a feather really flock together,” come out of Sam’s mouth.
