Mated to The Alpha's Daughter

Chapter Ten

Kai’s POV The relief I felt that she had no doubts I was being honest with her was overwhelming. I always feared my mate believing all the rumors about me. Then I get a mate with a built-in lie detector. She’s absolute perfection. The feel of her lips on mine is pure bliss. Being away from her for the last few days has been torture. Mav was raging inside of me to go to mate every second of every day. He hated the idea of not being with her. Of other males being too close to her. After our talk in the office on Friday he calmed a bit about her brothers, but he kept fuming at the thought of Greyson being near her.

It took all my self-control this morning not to kill him when we saw him touching what was ours. Mav wanted his blood, but the thought of Stella hating us if we hurt him stopped us. Right now, I was sitting in first period with my beautiful mate sitting next to me, with Sebastian on the other side of her. Much to her brother’s dismay. Yes, we made it to first period today. After tasting her perfect, plump lips she began to whine that she couldn’t miss class again. My little mate was such a rule follower. I was NOT focusing on what the teacher was saying, all I could do was stare at Stella.

“Mr. Russo, perhaps after missing three classes you’ll learn something if you look to the front of the class instead of Stella’s face.” Mr. Blake, a 20 something wolf, said through gritted teeth, I couldn’t help but smile as my mate blushed at his words. When I looked to the teacher, ready to apologize I was shocked by the hatred in his expression. He was looking at me as if I stole something from him.

“No Sir, I’m pretty sure I can learn a lot by staring at Stella.” I reply with a menacing smile, hoping for him to say something else.

“Just pay attention!” He snaps with a low growl. Stella let out her own growl in response, her eyes turning black. I notice Mr. Blake stiffen in his spot when his eyes meet hers.

“Watch yourself Chris.” She spits out. I hate hearing his first name coming off her tongue.

“My apologies.” He says quickly, forcing a smile at my mate. Mine. The nerve of this guy.

As soon as the bell rings everyone rushes to pack their things and makes their way out of the classroom. When Mr. Blake decides to grab Stella’s arm, earning him a possessive growl from me.

“Get your paws off my mate.” Mav and I say with our voices together, his shoulders tense at my words.

“M-mate?” He whispers with a broken expression, before he clears his throat. “Stella, may I speak to you alone for a moment?” He asks, only looking at her.  

“No.” Her brothers and I growl in unison.

“Chris, you know better than anyone you are not allowed to speak to Stella alone. You’re lucky we still allow you to live.” Teo growled out to him, leaving me confused. I notice Stella tense at his words.

“Just because Tyler acted in a dishonorable way doesn’t mean I would ever hurt her.” Chris said through clenched teeth. “She was his mate.”

“No. No, Chris. He wasn’t…he lied.” Stella said gently.

“Why would he lie about that?!” Mr. Blake said in an aggressive tone.

“Because he was obsessed with her.” Leo said with malice.

“Chris, I can sense when someone is lying about something. And he was lying. My mother also saw his plan to lie to us, so that he could have me for himself.” Stella explained, and suddenly everything made sense. They were talking about the senior last year who tried to force his mark on her.

“My brother wouldn’t do that. He loved you!” Mr. Blake shouted at her. Within seconds I had my hands wrapped around his neck.

“Your brother is the one who tried to force his mark on MY mate?!” I roared with anger. “He was not her mate! I AM.” I growled, tightening my hold around his neck.

“She was OURS!”  He said clawing at my hands. I felt everyone behind me stiffen, and I could smell their rage rolling off of them. I felt sparks on my arm, taking my hand away from Mr. Blake’s neck. I wrapped my arm around Stella’s waist in a protective, yet possessive hold. “Mine.” I growled against her neck.

“What do you mean she was yours?” Theo asked calmly, but I could sense his fury.

“She was meant to be ours. Tyler was going to mark her, and then I would. We had it all planned out. We have loved her since we were five and seven years old.” He said with a low, threatening growl. “Get away from her, she’s still mine! Even if Tyler is gone, she still belongs to me.” He roars at me, causing me to tighten my hold on Stella.

With a blink of an eye all four brothers have him pinned to the wall behind him. Their eyes black, and I know mine are not far from it. The idea of someone trying to take our mate from us, has both Mav and I on edge. Ready to kill anyone who comes near her. While the boys have him pinned, the classroom doors fly open, revealing three extremely angry Alpha’s. How did they know what was going on?

“Stella, baby. Come her.” The Alpha, I recognize as Nick says, while Alpha Luca and Jayden attempt to pull her from me. I can’t help the growls that Mav is sending them. He doesn’t want her out of his arms. Not yet. They growl just as dangerously back at me. But, then it seems all the growling stops as a wave of calmness washes over us.

“Damnit Princess!! STOP.” Luca shouts at Stella.

“ENOUGH.”  A powerful voice shouts at the door, causing everyone in the room to freeze. I can’t help but want to submit to the voice. “Mav, everything is okay. Your mate is safe. No one will take her from you. I promise. But you need to loosen your grip a bit.” The voice says in a soothing, motherly tone. Mav can’t seem to resist the need to comply with what she is saying. Then it hits me. She’s The Alpha. My mate’s mother. Stella reaches up to cup my face, her smile makes me relax even more.

“I’m here, don’t worry.” She coos, nuzzling me. I watch as her mother grabs her three mates and attempts to reason with them to stop pulling Stella away from me. They each huff out in annoyance, clearly giving into whatever, she said to them.

“Fine, you’ll come back to the packhouse with us then.” Alpha Luca says with annoyance, causing both Stella and her mother to smile at him adoringly.

“Thank you, Sir.” I say with as much appreciation as I can muster, even though I was already planning on going wherever my mate went.

“Boys, you go on ahead to class. Make sure to get all of Stella and Malakai’s assignments. We will be taking Christopher with us.” Their mother says in a calm and soothing voice. As they step away from Mr. Blake I notice two men coming into the room towards him. “Jake and Sam take him to the dungeons. Silver and wolfsbane. Also be sure he is far from that skank that’s down there already. Furthest cell you can.” She orders to two men, who by the aura I can feel are their Betas.

They wordlessly grab Mr. Blake and are gone with the blink of an eye. Now it was just my mate, her parents and me left in the classroom. Stella gives my hand a reassuring squeeze.

“Young Alpha, if you could allow us to hug our daughter now. That would be great.” Alpha Luca says with a tense jaw. I look down at my mate who is looking at me with a smile and hopeful eyes. I let her go and she immediately jumps into Luca’s arms.

“Papa! I thought this was over.” She whimpered in his arms.

“It will be soon my baby. I will make sure of it.” He says with a determined and soothing voice to his daughter. I could feel the love and protectiveness he felt for Stella, it was clear she was his pup. After she let go of him, she went and jumped into the other two Alpha’s arms.

“Dad! Pa!” She says while squeezing them tightly, they both hug her and kiss the top of her head affectionately.

“Princess, we will take care of this. Don’t you worry your pretty little head.” Alpha Nick says while rubbing her back gently.

“Come her baby.” Her mother says, and Stella rushes into her embrace. “He didn’t touch you, did he?” She asked Stella with a protective growl.

“With five Alpha’s surrounding me? Come on momma, I think you know the answer to that.” Stella says with a giggle. “He did try to grab me and get to me to talk to him alone. But, Kai pulled me away from him and him, along with my brothers told him no.” She further explained.

“Good. See Princess. That’s why we never want you alone. Because whenever you are things tend to happen that we don’t like!” Alpha Jayden says in gentle, yet authoritative tone.

“Pa, they were with me when this happened this time.” Stella says with a huff of annoyance.

“Yes, but they were able to prevent anything from happening.” Alpha Nick said calmly.

“Fine, let’s just go back to the pack house. That way I can formally introduce you to future Alpha Malakai.” She says with a sweet smile directed at me and reaches for my hand. I quickly take hold of her hand and allow her to pull me towards the parking lot of the school. “He’s coming with me in my car!” She shouts out to them and rushing towards a gorgeous matte black Audi R8. Damn.

“Nice car.” I say in awe.

‘You’re so lame. Mate is going to think we’re losers.’ Mav growls in my head, but when Stella gives us her beautiful smile his growl turns into a purr. ‘She’s so perfect.’ He says mesmerized.

‘She really is.’ I say back.

“Thank you, it was a birthday gift from my parents.” She says in her sweet voice.

I stop in my steps, pulling her to a stop in front of the passenger side of her car. I bring her flush against me. “Baby, I completely forgot to wish you a Happy Birthday. Between my jealousy, tasting these delicious lips of yours, and Mr. Blake. I never got to say it. So, Happy Birthday my Luna.” I say placing a sweet kiss on her lips.

“Thank you Alpha.” She purrs against my lips. I reluctantly pull away from her.

“We should probably head to the pack house before your fathers come to find us.” I say teasingly, making her laugh.

“You’re probably right. Come on, let’s go.” She says stepping away from me fully and makes her way to the driver’s side.

I was about to sit down and be introduced formally to my mates’ parents. Three Alpha males, and The Alpha of all Alpha’s. To say I was nervous was an understatement. I just wanted them to like me and approve of me for their daughter. I wanted them to know I would die before allowing any harm to come to Stella. That I would do everything in my power to make her happy. That, while she would eventually move to my pack, they would never be kept apart. I just prayed to the Moon Goddess that they would accept me and not try to keep us apart.

"They're going to love you Kai. I just know it. It may take time for them to accept that their little Princess has a mate. But they understand what it means to be a mate, especially an Alpha mate. Everything will be fine." Stella says when we finally pull up in front of her pack house which is huge. I want to believe what she says is true, but I still feel nervous and slightly intimidated.
