SARA For the first time since we had brought Sienna home, I allowed myself to breathe. She was going to survive. At least, that was what everything I was seeing was telling me. For hours, I had sat beside her bed, monitoring her temperature and watching for any sign that her condition was worsening. When we had first brought her home, she had been so cold that her entire body had been shaking violently. Her skin had been deathly pale, and her teeth had chattered so hard I had been terrified she would c***k one. Now, the shaking had finally stopped. Her temperature was slowly climbing back towards normal, and her breathing had settled into a steady rhythm. She was sleeping. Really sleeping.
