I was sitting beside Sienna's bed when Jackson entered the young girl's bedroom. He saw me sitting beside the bed and asked, "How long are you planning on being here?"
"Until she wakes up," I replied.
"Do you want me to join you?" he asked.
“I don’t think that would be a good idea. You have made your feelings and opinions of the girl clear,” I replied quietly.
“Come on now. There is no way I could have predicted what took place out there,” he replied in a huff.
"What do you plan to do about this child living under the same roof as one of the boys who tried to kill her?" I asked him.
