CHAPTER 2

1091 Words
Sean We made our way to class, walking in late, but the teacher didn't even look our way. We took our seats at the back of the classroom, in our usual spot. I was seething at what had just happened in the corridor. Turning in my seat to face my cousin, I asked, "Can you believe the nerve of that little b***h?" "I know, right? I have no idea how Carla puts up with her. She is so annoying. I am so sick of her holier than thou attitude. She is always walking around and talking to us like she is so superior, she’s a freaking useless Omega who needs to learn her place," Hayden replied. "I know, and we will be the ones to teach the little b***h," I agreed. Suddenly an idea popped into my head and I turned and looked at my cousin excitedly. "Hey, I was just thinking, what would your dad say about what Sienna was mouthing off about just now? You know when she was saying that the pack is a joke?" I asked him. Suddenly Hayden looked at me with interest. "Why don't we tell him and find out?" he replied, looking amused at the thought. "Cool, let's do that," I agreed. "Come on then," Hayden said, suddenly standing up from his seat. "What? Now? Like, right now?" I asked, confused. "Would you prefer to stay here?" he asked, looking horrified at the thought. I stood up and grabbed my books before following him out of the classroom. I wasn't surprised when, once again, the teacher paid us no mind. We put our books inside our lockers and went back to Hayden's house. The Alpha’s house was an awesome house. It was a two-story brick home with a double car garage in the front of the house on the right-hand side. Directly above the garage there was a porch with floor to ceiling glass windows and a sliding door. The porch meant that there was a covered double carport right in front of the garage. The house was huge with a lot of windows. I loved it. I was envious that Hayden actually got to live in such a cool house. My parents and I occupied a suite in the pack house, just like Sienna and her mother Sara. I followed behind Hayden as we walked into the house, making our way across the foyer and climbing the staircase. We found Hayden’s father sitting in the kitchen about to enjoy a huge sandwich. When he saw us, he suddenly looked dismayed as he asked, "Why aren't you boys at school?" "We need to talk to you," Hayden told him. "Okay, what's going on?" his father asked, looking a little worried all of a sudden. "It's about Sienna, the girl who lives with her Omega mother in that suite in the pack house," Hayden said. "I know who she is. What about her?" the Alpha asked. "She said this pack is a joke," I blurted out, wanting Sienna to suffer big time for being such a pain in the ass. "She said what?" the Alpha asked, looking at the both of us in disbelief. "What Sean said, she said this pack is a joke," Hayden replied. "Really?” the Alpha asked, as he looked at me then back to Hayden. " She just said it to us today at school, like, not even fifteen minutes ago," I told him adding more fuel to the fire. "Okay, well I guess we need to have a chat, Sienna and I," the Alpha said, as he got to his feet. Hayden and I started to follow him as he made his way out of the kitchen, but he turned to us and asked, "Where do you pair think you're going?" "With you," Hayden replied. "Oh no you don't. The two of you can stay here. I'm sure you will find something to do to entertain yourselves," the Alpha told us, before going downstairs and making his way out the front door. "Well, that didn't go exactly as planned," Hayden said when the door shut behind his father. "No, no it didn't. I was hoping we would get to see your dad tear strips off her," I replied. "Well, we still might get to. He might decide on a public punishment," Hayden said as he began walking towards the fridge. "Dude, that would be awesome," I said, as Hayden handed me a can of cola he had just gotten out of the refrigerator. "Can you imagine her getting a public flogging in front of the whole pack?" Hayden asked, grinning at me. "She would be screaming her head off," I told him, laughing at the thought of Sienna receiving such a punishment. Hayden joined in laughing as well. "Come on, let's go play Call of Duty while we wait for my dad to get back," he said once he had stopped laughing. I followed him into his room, and took a seat and waited while he turned on the Xbox and set up the game. Sienna When I had gotten home from school, I had snuck into the pack house not wanting to alert anyone to the fact that I was home and skipping school. I didn't want to have to answer any questions from Sara. I am not sure if she would believe me if I was to tell her about what the Alpha’s and Beta’s sons had done, turning the children of the pack against me. As soon as I entered the suite, I went into my bedroom, and locked the door behind me. I lay on my bed just enjoying the silence. I was so sore. I had never been in this amount of pain before. As I lay there, I couldn't help but feel angry and frustrated. Angry that my pack and my family were gone. Angry about Sean's behavior since the moment I had arrived here. And frustrated that so many people could so easily believe what Sean was saying without knowing the facts. Why were people so easily led? I knew that once Sara found out I had left school without permission I was going to get into a lot of trouble. She strongly believed in the importance of education. I did too, just as my parents had. But at that time, I honestly couldn't see how things were going to get any worse for me than they already were. If only I had known just how bad things were about to get.
