CHAPTER 3

830 Words
Sara I had just arrived back in the suite after a morning spent doing laundry and working in the packhouse kitchen. The atmosphere was different here to what I had been used to in the previous pack. Back there, I had been a close confidant of the Luna. Here, I was just an Omega. A worker drone, to be used and tossed aside at the whims of those who outranked me. I was looking forward to having a rest after such a busy morning, but before I could even draw a breath, I heard a knock on the front door of the suite. Walking back to the door, opened it, and I was surprised to see the Alpha standing in the doorway. "Alpha, is everything okay?" I asked, confused about why he was here. "Is Sienna here?" he asked, avoiding my question and peering over my shoulder. "Sienna? No, she's at school. Alpha, what's going on? Has something happened?" I asked, worried now. "Actually Sara, Sienna isn't at school. I know this because I was just at the school, I went there to see her," he replied, looking annoyed now. "I don't understand what's happening. She left for school at the same time as she always does.” I was worried now. What if there had been an attack at the school? Or if there had been rogues on the pack grounds? Something had to be wrong. Was Sienna missing? That had to be it, why else would the Alpha have been at the school? Why else would he be here looking for Sienna? I moved out of the doorway and said, “Maybe you should step inside Alpha.” The Alpha stepped inside and I quietly led him through to our living room. Stopping in the living room, I motioned for him to take a seat on one of the sofas. "Can I get you anything to drink?" I asked after he had taken a seat. When he declined, I quietly took the seat opposite him. “Now, please. Tell me what is going on. Tell me what has happened,” I whispered urgently. "I need to speak with Sienna," he replied once more. "Do you mind if I ask why?" I asked him. "I would rather not discuss it until I have a chance to speak to her,” he replied. "Well, like I said before, she is at school at the moment. I can drive her up to your house when she gets home," I told him. "No, she isn't at the school. I have already been to the school. Sienna was there this morning. She isn't there now though," he replied, clearly becoming annoyed with having to repeat himself. "I don't understand, I mean, I know nothing about this. As far as I know, she was going to school. She is not one to skip out on classes. She has always had perfect attendance with her education,” I told the Alpha. "Where would she go if she wasn’t at school? Does she have any close friends here?" the Alpha asked, his watchful gaze upon me. "There is one girl she has been spending time with. A girl by the name of Carla. Sienna has mentioned her a few times since we have been here,” I told Liam. "Carla, as in my daughter Carla," he said, nodding his head. "Wait? You have a daughter?" I asked, looking at him in confusion. "Was Carla at the school when you were up there?" I asked the Alpha. "I wasn't told otherwise," he stated. "Well, if you want to talk to her, then you will be talking to me as well. I have no idea what you need to speak to a young girl about. This whole situation seems downright hinkey to me," I informed him. "Well, I am an Alpha, Sara, and the beauty of being an Alpha means that I don't have to explain myself to you or anyone else for that matter. Got it?" he growled, gazing at me in open annoyance. "Okay, look, I am sure that once we locate Sienna, this will all be resolved very quickly. She is a good girl. Very responsible,” I assured him. "She has to be here somewhere. I mean, where would she go? She doesn't know her way around here that well. And like I said earlier, I have never had issues with her missing school in the past. This doesn't make sense," I stated. "I don't care about what issues you may have had or not had in the past. I am only concerned about here and now. Find her, immediately," the Alpha growled, clearly growing impatient with me and the unknowing of Sienna’s whereabouts. "Mom, what's going on?" a voice asked from the living room doorway. I looked up and let out a breath of relief, "Sienna, thank the Goddess," I whispered, jumping up and running over to her, throwing my arms around her.
