CHAPTER 4

SIENNA Sara held on to me tightly. For a moment I didn't think she was going to let me go. She released me when the Alpha said, "Sara, for Goddess’ sake, let the girl go." "Alpha! We didn't know where she was. We didn't know if something had happened to her. Now we see she is okay; I am entitled to be relieved. Are you seriously going to deny me this moment?" Sara demanded, looking at the Alpha in open frustration. "Sara, you can see the girl is fine. I don't have time to waste on your theatrics," the Alpha replied. "Alpha…" Sara gasped, placing her right hand over her chest, her mouth and eyes wide in shock. "Sara, stop being so damn theatrical," the Alpha growled glaring at her. "Now, sit down,” he growled looking at me “You too.” I took a seat and watched him, waiting to see what he was going to say. I knew that if he was here, then that meant that it was more than likely because he had heard about my outburst at school earlier. I didn't regret what I had said to that i***t Hayden. I had meant every word of it. The amount of bullying taking place in this pack was atrocious, plus the lack of action on the part of the faculty and staff members within the school was just as bad, if not worse. It wasn't going to be any good for me to say anything to the Alpha about it though. There was no doubt in my mind that the lack of action from the faculty was because of Hayden. They were hesitant to get involved because they didn't want the backlash that would undoubtedly come on them from Alpha if they were to try and intervene. My dad had always said that a fish rots from the head down, and after having seen how the Alpha had just handled the situation with Sara, I was willing to bet in this case, I was looking at the head of a rotting fish. The Alpha looked at me and said, "So, Sienna, I just wanted to drop in and see how you were settling in to your new life in our pack." "Just taking it one day at a time," I replied, shrugging like it was no big deal. "Well, I can understand that it has been quite the adjustment for you. New pack, new people, new territory. Lots of adjustments to make. But, telling me you are taking it one day at a time isn't really telling me anything, is it?" the Alpha said, looking at me like a wolf eyeing off an innocent little rabbit in the woods. "Why don't you tell me what you want me to say?" I asked, wishing he would just be blunt. I felt like he was talking in riddles. "Sienna?" Sara gasped from her seat beside me, before looking at me in shock. "What?" I asked her. "He is just playing a game. He didn't come here to see how I was settling in. He doesn't care about my wellbeing. If he did, he would have asked about the bruises and obvious signs of an altercation that are clearly visible to him. He hasn't asked because he doesn't care. All he cares about is what I said today to his precious son and his dumb ass nephew,” I retorted, glaring at the Alpha. "What did you say to them?" Sara asked, looking pale. I was hoping she didn’t pass out right there. Poor Sara, being an Omega wasn’t used to this kind of confrontation. She didn’t have it in her to stand up to an Alpha or watch disrespect towards one. I knew this heated discussion between me and the Alpha was taking a toll on her. "I told them that this pack is a joke," I told her. "Why would you say that?" Sara asked, looking at me like she wanted to vomit. "Because it's the truth," I stated. "Sienna, why? Oh, Goddess… why would you say that?" Sara whispered in dismay. "Because it is the truth. I never said one word to them that was not true," I replied. "Would you care to tell me why you seem to think that this pack is a joke. This pack… my pack… that took you in and gave you a home… and protection too, might I add," the Alpha said as he eyed me levelly once more. "Are you seriously okay with raising a pack full of bullies?" I snapped, meeting his gaze. "I am not raising a pack full of bullies," the Alpha snapped back. "Yes, you are. You just won't admit to it because your son is the biggest one of all of them," I hissed, glaring at him with open hostility. "Careful now little girl. You don't want to push me too far," he growled low in his throat. "Why? Scared you will show Sara where your son gets his bullying ways from?" I asked, clearly annoying him. "Young lady, there have never been any complaints of bullying within this pack until you just said there is bullying taking place here. Now… my take on this is that maybe the issue isn't my pack, maybe the issue here, is you," the Alpha growled. "Alpha!" Sara gasped; her eyes wide in shock as she stared at the Alpha. "What? It's obvious Sara. The only logical conclusion in all of this is your daughter is the problem. She is a little trouble maker, and you didn’t bother to mention it to me when I first met with you. How do I know your old pack was really attacked? For all I know your daughter got you thrown out of your old pack!” he retorted. "Alpha, stop, please. Just stop. You don't know Sienna like I do. She has never been in any trouble. She is always getting along with everyone. If Sienna says there is a problem with bullying, then there is a problem with bullying," Sara told him, her tone full of insistence. The Alpha turned his gaze away from me and looked at Sara. "What is wrong with you? You should be smarter than this? Are you mentally deficient in some way that I am not aware of?" the Alpha asked her. "What… what do you mean… Alpha?" Sara asked him with a look of confusion upon her face. "How dare you…." I growled, glaring at him, right as Sara held up her hand and cut me off saying, "Sienna, don't." “Women who have children, they are supposed to be smarter when it comes to their kids. Sharp as a whip with a mind like a steel trap. That’s how my mate is. But your mother here, she can't even see when her troubled daughter is being difficult and causing trouble at school. So… why are you making trouble? Are you after attention? Is that it?" he asked. "If Sienna says you have a problem with bullying in the school, then you have a problem with bullying in the school," Sara told him, her voice as firm as she can get it. Omegas were not able to get as angry as the higher-ranking wolves. It went against their very nature. "But funnily enough, none of this supposed bullying started until after you brought that girl here," the Alpha said, pointing towards me. "Whatever you need to tell yourself to help you sleep better at night," I muttered, looking at him in open disgust. "Now listen here young lady, my patience is wearing thin with you," he snapped, fixing me with a hard glare. "You're just annoyed because Sara isn’t pandering to you. You are just like your son. The both of you are so used to people tripping over themselves to accommodate you without question. I don't care if you believe me or not about the bullying. I know what is happening within this pack, and someday soon, others will know it too. And when that happens, you will have a lot to answer for," I told him, holding his gaze so he knew I wasn’t messing around. "Is that so?" he asked, looking at me in amusement. "Yes, that's so," I replied. And I meant it. I didn't care that he wasn't listening to what I had to say about the bullying. There was going to come a time when this moment would come back to bite him in the butt, but by then it would be too late. And I couldn't wait until it happened. But in the mean time I would just have to hold on until I was sixteen and had the help of my wolf. "Alpha, if that is all you wanted to discuss with Sienna, I will handle things from here," Sara told him. "Don't tell me what to do in my own pack. I am the Alpha here, and you would do well to remember that," the Alpha snapped, glaring at Sara and causing her to shrink back in her seat. "And there it is," I muttered, rolling my eyes and shaking my head in disgust. "Enough!" the Alpha shouted, jumping up from his seat on the lounge and glaring between the two of us. "Nobody tells me what to do in my own pack! Is that clear?" "His son is just like him," I whispered to Sara, who looked at me with her eyebrows raised in shock. I nodded my head to let her know I was serious. "Right! That's it! You have gotten on my nerves for the last time!" the Alpha shouted at me. He walked over to where I was seated on the lounge beside Sara and grabbed me by the arm, dragging me from the seat and onto my feet. "Alpha, don't do this please," Sara shouted, standing up and grabbing the Alpha's arm to try and make him let go of me. The Alpha pushed her away from him, causing Sara to fall to the floor. Not caring if Sara was okay or not, he kept dragging me towards the front door of the suite. But before we reached the door, it opened, and an imposing figure walked inside, stopping and taking in the scene before him. "What the hell is going on here?" a voice asked.
