Sienna
"Is someone going to answer my question?" Clay asked.
"Your son has a problem with being told about his failings," I said in answer to Clay’s question.
"Failings huh? And what failings might those be, may I ask?" Clay asked, looking at me in interest.
"The fact that he is raising a pack of bullies for starters," I replied.
"Jackson, is there bullying happening within this pack that I don’t know about?" Clay asked, looking at the Alpha.
"She says there is, but I have never been aware of any bullying taking place within the pack," the Alpha replied.
"Sienna, is there something you would like to tell me?" Clay asked, turning back to look at me.
"The Alpha of this pack denies there are any issues because he doesn’t want to be held accountable for his inaction and chosen lack of attention to the wellbeing of minors within the pack. But as for telling you anything Clay. What would be the point? I could talk about the issue at hand until I am blue in the face, but it won't change anything because the Alpha of the pack is living in denial," I stated, knowing that it was pointless to air my grievances to either of them.
"That's it, I have had enough of you," the Alpha stated, gripping my arm tightly and moving towards the door once more, dragging me along behind him.
"Where do you think you are taking her Jackson?" Clay asked, as he watched the Alpha dragging me towards the door.
"She is going to spend some time in the cells. Maybe after twenty - four hours in there, she might actually appreciate just how good she has it here," the Alpha told him.
"You're going to put a child in the cells? Are you serious?" Sara demanded, glaring at the Alpha with a look of horror upon her face. “The conditions down there are totally depraved. Not to mention there are murderers and rapists down in those cells. You cannot put a child in such an environment. The werewolf council would have you put to death for such actions.”
“Only if they found out,” the Alpha growled, glaring at Sara.
“You put that girl in the cells and they will find out. I will make sure of it,” Sara told him.
“Then maybe I should put you in the cells right along with her,” the Alpha snapped.
"Jackson! She's right. You can't put a child in the cells," Clay added from where he was standing in the room watching this all play out in front of him.
"I am the Alpha of this pack. I can do whatever the hell I want, whenever the hell I want," the Alpha shouted, glaring at Sara.
"You see what I mean," I said to Clay.
"Okay, I think I have heard enough here. Jackson, Sienna will now be my responsibility, and only my responsibility," Clay told him. “From now on whenever she is not attending her school classes’ she will be with me, or she will be here with her mother.”
"Excuse me?" the Alpha asked, looking at Clay with his mouth open in shock.
"You are not taking her away from me. She is my family," Sara whispered looking at Clay.
"She is still a part of your family. Did you miss the part where I said she will be here, at school, or with me? But from now on when she isn't in school or doing her studies, or spending her mornings or evenings here with you. She will be with me," Clay explained slowly, making sure every word got through to Sara.
"Doing what?" the Alpha asked, looking at Clay with a look of puzzlement upon his face.
"Never you mind. I will keep her out of your hair, don’t you worry about that," Clay assured him. With that, Clay walked over to where we were standing and reached out grabbing my arm and prying the Alpha's fingers from my arm. "Okay. Let's go little one," Clay said as he proceeded to guide me out the front door of the suite.
We walked in silence towards a building that was a good distance behind the main pack house. The building was large, but aside from that there was nothing remarkable about it. We stopped at the main door and Clay got his keys out to unlock the door.
"What is this place," I asked him.
"This is the pack training facility," he replied, gesturing for me to walk through the now open door. I entered the room and he followed me inside. The facility had a large open floor area for hand-to-hand combat training. There was a gym set up over on the left side of the building with an excellent selection of weights and cardio equipment. To the right side of the building there was a line of floor to ceiling mirrors. Straight ahead there were a couple of doors.
Seeing where I was looking, Clay pointed towards the doors and said, "Through the door on the right there are locker rooms and showers. The door in the middle is the sauna, and the door on the left leads in to the bathroom facilities."
"This place is huge," I told him as I looked around taking everything in. “It’s pretty cool, huh?”
"It is. It is huge and it is as you say, cool. And it serves its purpose well," he replied, nodding his head in agreement.
"So, why are we here?" I asked wanting to know why he had brought me here.
"Well, I figured you might be interested in learning how to fight. I mean, if you are right and there is bullying taking place in the pack, it seems fitting that you would want to know how to protect yourself. So, if you want to learn, I am happy to teach you," Clay replied.
"So… you're going to train me? Like… in the same way that the pack warriors train?" I asked, gazing at him in awe.
"Yes. But it is going to take a lot of work. It will be incredibly physically and mentally demanding. You will be tired and you will on occasion have aches and pains like you would never have imagined possible. You’re a kid, but there will be days when you will be hobbling around like you’re eighty years old. So, the only question you have to answer, is, are you up for the challenge?" he asked, looking at me expectantly as he was awaiting my answer.
"Definitely. Will there be any one else training with you?" I asked, hoping I wouldn’t have to see any of my bullies.
"No. Just you," he stated.
I was relieved to hear that. None of the people who bullied me would be here to see me screw up during the learning process. Or would they? It was a possibility that people could come in and use the facilities whenever they wanted. So, people could turn up while we were in here. I guess I could only hope that didn’t happen.
"I can see you are relieved this will be a one-on-one lesson scenario. We will train when the facility is empty. I will make sure we don’t have any spectators when our sessions are taking place," Clay said, breaking into my thoughts.
"Thank you. I really appreciate that. So, when do we start?" I asked, hoping I wouldn’t have to wait too long.
"How about now?" he replied, smiling at me.
I grinned at him and replied, "I like the way you think."
