CHAPTER 6

SIENNA The man who had walked in on Alpha Jackson and my altercation the day had been Carla's grandfather Clay. He had soon gotten everything in hand with Alpha Jackson. Clay and I had been training for a month now and I had to admit that I was really enjoying the sessions. Clay had been right about the pain though. There were days when I could barely move, I was in so much pain. Clay was an excellent teacher, and thanks to the Alpha blood coursing through my veins, I was a fast learner. Over the past month, Clay had been improving my fitness and endurance levels as well as teaching me how to fight. Every time we made our way into the training facility for our sessions, we did a warm up before Clay got me onto the gym equipment. After my session on the gym equipment, we did our combat lesson and ended with a run through the woods. By the time we got back to the training facility I was looking forward to having a shower and getting into a fresh set of clothes. Clay was my hero, literally, in every sense of the word. Since he had taken control of the situation that day in our suite, things had improved for me. by stepping in and taking me off of the Alpha's hands, I was now able to do my schooling with a tutor in the comfort of mine and Sara’s suite. My tutor's name was Julia and she was wonderful. She would collect my school work from my teachers before meeting me in the suite to do my lessons. It was great because I didn't have to see Hayden or Sean with their little goons at school. Carla would come over and hang out with me after she had finished school for the day. I enjoyed spending time with Carla. She was so different to her annoying brother and cousin. I felt bad that Carla was stuck with family members like the ones she had. All I could say was that the males in her family sucked. Aside from Clay of course. Clay and I were currently in the middle of another training session. We were sparring and practicing take down manoeuvres. "Okay, so when you lunge, you need to make sure that you don't make it obvious what your planning," Clay reminded me. "Okay," I replied. "Right, let's try it again," he said. I squared up and looked at his stance as I figured out the best way to take him down. I figured if I threw all my weight into his left leg, I could bring him down. I started running towards him, watching his right shoulder. I saw him brace himself for an impact to his upper torso, then at the last moment I lunged at his left knee. The impact brought him down onto the floor mats. As soon as we hit the ground, I rolled off him and Clay sat up laughing happily. "That was perfect. You are a fast learner," Clay said, getting to his feet and helping me onto mine. "That was fun," I told him. "I am really impressed with how fast you are learning the manoeuvres I have been teaching you. You are a natural. Was your father a pack warrior?" Clay asked. "My father was a good strong fighter," I replied, giving him a smile. I knew Clay was fishing at that moment, and I hated not being able to be honest with him about who I really was. But I knew that Sara had been told to conceal my identity by my mother. And I trusted my mother’s instincts. If she wanted my identity concealed then she had her reasons. Sara would never betray my mother. She had adored my mother. "So, how are things going with Julia? Is she helping you to stay on top of your school work?" Clay asked. "Yes. She is awesome," I replied. "Glad to hear it," he said, nodding happily. "She helps me with everything so that I can understand it the first time she explains it. And it saves me so much time because I don't have to keep asking questions. I get the work finished so that by the time Carla gets out of school, we are able to spend some time hanging out each afternoon. Thank you for arranging to have Julia tutor me. It means a lot," I told him. “I'm glad that your days are better than they were. I am just sorry that you had a rough few weeks when you first arrived here,”Clay told me. "This opportunity to learn from you more than makes up for it. Honestly," I assured him. "I am glad to hear that," he replied. "So, what's next?" I asked. "Well, I wanted to give you a heads up. We do pack training missions throughout the year, and now that you are training with me you will be having to take part in the sessions as well," Clay explained. "When you say training missions, what do you mean?" I asked, feeling worried. “It's more like competitions between groups. We divide the students up into groups or teams and turn it into a friendly competition,”Clay explained. "So, I am going to have to be around those people who bullied me again?" I asked. "Yes. But now you have some skills if they try to become physical with you," he replied. "Oh, going by what happened when I first arrived here, I think it is safe to say that things will get physical," I stated. "Look, we have a little while before we have to worry about a training mission, so how about we work on your training, and get you better equipped to deal with whatever comes your way. You will find that as you become more skilled in combat, your confidence will also grow," Clay assured me. "Can you do something for me?" I asked him. "Sure, I can. What do you need?" he asked. "Can you make me fierce?" I asked him. "Sure, I can. Like I said, you're a natural," Clay told me. "I want to become the fiercest warrior I can possibly be. I want to be so fierce that just the mere mention of my name will ensure no one wants to f**k with me," I told him. "Well, if you keep on working like you have been, you will get there. I will teach you everything you need to know," he replied. "But for now, you need to get home and meet Julia for your lessons," he added. "Okay, so same time tomorrow?" I asked. "I will be here," he assured me. I waved and went into the locker room to shower and change. Once I had finished showering and getting dressed, I went home to meet Hannah for our lessons. On my walk home I couldn't help but think about what Clay had told me about the training missions. The thought of working with any of the kids who had bullied me at school had me on edge. I didn't want to see any of them ever again! I just hoped that Clay could get me where I needed to be fighting wise to deal with any issues that may arise.
