A Luna's Redemption: Fated to the cursed Alpha

DAVINA POV My whole body feels heavy,I feel my eyelids fluttering open but not just enough to catch the sight of where I am,where am I? My hands and legs feel so tight,I try to adjust them only to hear the sounds of the chains clattering against the ground. Why are there sounds of chains? I need to wake up, my mind needs to be in charge and my body in control. My eyes opened wide this time, to see I was in a cell. To be precise, the underground cell Asher made for prisoners and enemies. What is going on? Why are my hands and legs chained together like an animal? Where is Asher? “ She is awake sir” ,I heard a voice say, but only it sounded like the voice had been amplified a million times and those words went straight into my head, causing a headache. I see Asher coming towards me, granted I may not see his face clearly, but I know just how he walks,maybe he can explain what this misunderstanding is all about. “Ash…. Asher, What's going on, why am I bound to chains? There seems to be a big misunderstanding here” I look up to see Asher looking so furious with his hands in a fist. “ Why did you do it ?” “What ?” I asked, confused as to what he was talking about. “Why, why would you do that to him,he loved you like a daughter and treated you with nothing but kindness and respect so I still……….” He inhaled sharply, “ l still cannot wrap my head around why you would do something so horrible to him”. “I have no idea what you are talking about but if you just let me out of the cell,maybe we can talk about it calmly”,I said in a neutral tone. “You killed him, you killed my dad, and you talk about me being calm, alright,you want so badly out of the cell,here you go,Cyrus,let her out of the cage” Asher tossed the key coldly in Cyrus direction who picked up the key with shaky fingers and opened the cage. He took gentle strides towards me and leaned down menacingly before wrapping his fingers along my throat,choking me so tightly while I gasped for air. “As….a……shhh….er……… pl…..e…a..…,”I could feel myself going under as tears rolled down my eyes,this isn't the Asher I have come to know and love,he has never treated me this way,I didn't,I couldn't have killed his dad,my eyes close in surrender before he randomly let go of me and toss me to the ground. I took deep breaths, trying to get all the air into my lungs as I coughed loudly and looked up to see Asher without remorse leaning towards me, I tried to move away, but he dragged me by my hair, painfully holding me in place as he whispered into my ears “Do you want to know the worst part about what you did, it was that you intended to flee after killing him,it shows how little you cared for me and what a fool I was not to have seen beneath your lies and deceit” “Asher please,give me a chance to explain myself”. Tears were beginning to roll down my eyes but Asher didn't spare me a glance rather he gave Cyrus the key to the cage. “Lock her back in her cage, she deserves to be treated like the animal she is”. Asher says before leaving. Tears stream down my face as Cyrus tried to fit me into the cage, which he successfully did by placing my knees upwards so I was in a fixed seated position.I rested my head against the iron bars as I recollected earlier events. A FEW HOURS EARLIER I woke up to the sight of blood everywhere,my eyes were still dizzy, my whole body felt numb,but I struggled to stand up only to hear the sound of a heavy thud on the floor.I looked around to see what specifically fell on the floor. No,no, no, it cannot be,by now my vision was clear enough to see who was on the floor. With his face down,I pull the body up to see the lifeless face of Asher's father with a knife cut on his throat,his body was colder than normal and I knew he had been dead for over an hour. I tried to think of something, anything I could do to get myself out of the mess I was. Should I call Asher? That was the right thing to do,I should call Asher but where the hell is my phone?I reached into both my pockets to see my phone was gone.I needed to get out of the room to call him but as I opened the door,I came face to face with Eloise. “Thank goodness,I have been looking all over for you,why” a loud scream erupted from the room,it took me a few seconds to realize it was Eloise screaming, making me cover her mouth with my blood stained hand. “I swear It wasn't me,I woke up to find him like this,I have to do something Eloise,I need to find Asher” By now my voice was trembling with tears threatening to fall from my eyes. Eloise whose hands were shaking, gave me a reassuring hug. “ I know it wasn't you Davina,you would never do something like this” She pulled back from her embrace and looked at me sternly before asking “Can you think of anyone who would try to frame you?”. “I have no idea, Eloise, but I cannot be caught in this mess, it would destroy Asher.” “You are right, you go and find him and leave this room. You need to be the one to tell him, otherwise it would look suspicious to him. Go now”. “Thanks Eloise,” I said as I hastily walked out of the room. I made my way down to the council room as fast as my leg could take me and opened the door to see an empty room,he must be outside,I thought to myself as I made my way towards the garden outside only to hear voice of Asher's right hand man shouting “here she is”,I look back to see it was Asher’s right hand man, hastily making his way towards me I was about to say something before I felt a heavy blow land on my head and the world spinning before me as I fell unconscious.
