My Day

Meagan's POV

Kate's phone call wakes me up, its 8am the sun is already up and shining. I am two hours late into my day, I can't do my morning routine my schedule is disturbed.

I pick up the call "morning Kae"

"morning baby girl, how are you doing"

"am fine, just feeling a little bit fatigued. How about you, how's your hangover?"

"Am fine baby girl just a slight headache, it will be gone after a cup or two of wine. And are you home? I wanna come over" Kae's voice sounds like she is sleepy.

"Yea, you can come over am taking my day off, today I'll be home the whole day" I reply while powering on my laptop to check out which photos I'll be retouching for the day.

"Ooooh, ok baby girl let me just take a shower I'll be there in a while. And prepare breakfast for two, am starving" Kate quotes her reply with a yawn and a bart in that order.

" Ok, sure thing" I hangup the call going to wash my face and mouth before I start preparing breakfast. I bet that's when Kate was from waking up as well, I think to myself as I am washing my face and starring at the mirror.

I abandon my laptop after selecting the Chisenga's wedding photos folder. I quickly head to the kitchen to prepared a simple meal, boiled eggs, rice and hot spicy gravy, and two sandwiches accompanied by milk. Shortly I was back to selecting the photos I'll be editing while enjoying my meal.

I stumble on a family photo where all the hosted family members were all in the picture.

Then I hear a knock at the down, this has to be Kae so I call out "come in!", shortly a mail man comes in with a big parcel box.

"Morning Miss ...uhmm." he checks the box for my name "Morning Miss Meagan Malinda, here's your parcel from Mr Mike Likachan"

"morning sir, how are you doing"

"am fine miss, how are you?"

"Am fine thanks" I say while getting up to go check what's the box. The mall man hands me the delivery book to confirm the delivery with my signature.

"Mr Likachan was right your beauty is worth this present and more" the mall man says in a flirting fashion as I was signing.

I hand him the book with a smile, "thanks for the compliment and tell Mike, next he shouldn't send a hot mall man, I might start cheating" I smirk trying to make my reply sound cool. The mall man chuckles as he leaves

"thanks miss, see you later".

As soon as he closed the door, I quickly got a scissors to open up the box. I am anxiously cutting and unwrapping the seal-tape on the box, eager to see what's inside. I finally opened the box in a short time that felt like forever with my anxiety nagging me.

I was overwhelmed by what I saw inside, filled with excitement, I don't know what to say. The present is just what I have been wishing for.

A 32mp Canon EOS 90D camera with a kit lens plus an 80-300mm lens and a lot of photography accessories and a 17.3 inches screen laptop, a Dell inspiron 17R. The camera is on my ebay wishlist I have been saving for it for some months now.

I am so excited, I was going to give Mike a big, tight hug and a perk on his lips if he was here. It feels like Mike read my mind and heard my heart. That's what I loved the most about Mike, he often knew what I wanted.

I pick out a note that caught my attention while I was checking out the gadgets inside. It was folded like a manual book but it looked too classy and romantic for a manual.

Oh Mike wrote me something "These gadgets will be privileged to be handled by your beautiful and talented hands... from your biggest fan Mike, happy faced emoji with loving eyes ". I flipped and unfolded the note and there is a photo of a half naked man with sexy abs. Mike captioned the photo "I want this kind of photoshoot with this camera".

The caption give some food for thought, what if he really meant it? With Mike its hard to tell if he is serious or kidding. Anyways what will happen, will happen.

I try to make myself busy by trying out the gadgets. Still I kept on getting lost in my thoughts imagining how I'll shoot Mike this kind of photoshoot. I'll try to make it a little bit more decent but the way I know him, he'll probably insist on the explicit one.

"Anyways on the bright side of life, I'll get to see his muscular body in his birthday suit without asking for it" the naught side of me speaks for itself.

"Wait!, what about Mercy? Am sure she obviously won't allow it to happen" the other side of me that wasn't for the idea of the shoot found an excuse.

Kae comes in popping me out of my bubble of fantasies. She goes straight to the kitchen while calling for me "Baby girl! Mae baeby". She goes silent and the plates get louder for a while, she was serving herself.

I remained in the living room waiting for her. Kae is very familiar with my apartment, she is my sister in a friend and this is just like her second home. Kae finishes serving herself.

"Baby girl have I ever told you that you could make a very good chef with your intuitive cooking skills" Kae says with some food in her mouth as she leaves the kitchen coming to the living room.

Kae becomes my first model on my new camera, I took a photo of her raising the spoon to her mouth. The picture still looks good for a high ISO of 3200, the Canon 90D is really a high end camera.

Kae notices the gadgets are new

"Wow baby you finally bought the camera combo you were always talking about!"

I reply while rolling my eyes "I wish, it is a gift from Mike"

"Mae, you mean Mike, Mike Likachan your ex sent you all this as a present?" Kae asks looking a little bit nervous and surprised.

"Yes, and he also wants this kind of photoshoot session, though I ain't sure if he is joshing" I say while handing Kae the note. Kae goes quiet for some seconds as she fixed her eyes on the photo.

"We'll go together, I don't trust Mike to behave himself. he'll most likely seduce you when you go alone. And the way I know you, you will easily fall for his flirts, and I don't want you to start cheating, baby girl that's not for you"

Kae says with a seriously mad face like a sibling going to confront her young sister's bully.

"Alright Kae you know better, I was even wondering how I was going to do it without falling for the temptation" I agree to Kae's idea. Its sounds safe Mike will probably feel uncomfortable to take the explicit half nude pic with Kae around. The naughty side of me frowns at the idea.

I even started retouching the photos I had selected. Kae kept me company through the day.... My day was fun and productive, I finished editing the pics I had selected for the day and I enjoyed Kae's presence. She is good at puting a smile on my face . She is like the friendly elder sister I always longed for.

I get back home after escorting Kae, I want to sleep early today, tomorrow is going to be busy. I pick up the litters that were around the living room with a smile throughout as every piece of litter reminded me of how fun it was today.

I lay on my bed already said my prayers am now surmoning the angel of peaceful sleeps then someone called me. I pick up the call thinking it was Oscar, when he said he'll call me from work tonight.

I pick up the call without thinking of checking who called. "Hey baeb" I start the conversation, I miss him so much I can't wait for him to start talk.
