CHAPTER 5

Destiny’s POV

When I got to the pack lands, I went straight to the alpha’s office and knocked. “Come in” I heard and I stepped in timidly. “I’ve been wanting to see you” He stated.

“I can teleport” I said excitedly.

Alpha Roman asked me to show him, but I couldn’t. it was like a mental block was there.

“How were you feeling when it happened” alpha Roman asked. I started to say something but then I was in the bathroom. Apparently, I needed to pee really bad. At least this time I didn’t shift. I finished my business and wondered around the pack house until I found my way back to his office.

I sheepishly looked at him and said, “It happened again.”

“Well first things first. We need you initiated into the pack so we can mind link, then we need to get this under control, so you don’t hurt yourself teleporting from a moving vehicle or something.”

The initiation ceremony was quick. First alpha Roman took the ceremonial chalice and poured a liquid into it, then he sliced his hand and dripped blood into it, finally he cut Destiny’s hand and dripped her blood into it. “Now swear your allegiance to me and New Moon pack and drink the contents.”

“I’m not drinking blood” Destiny said. “No way”

“its just a small amount so you can and you will” stated the alpha emphatically. After a few long minutes she swore allegiance and drank the concoction. She immediately felt a bond snap into place. At least now we can talk to you wherever you are within a reasonable distance. “Now let’s try something simple, teleport to the other side of alpha Roman’s desk. She closed her eyes and when she opened them, she was sitting on alpha Roman’s lap. She jumped up apologizing profusely to him. “It takes practice” alpha Roman smiled, “Let’s see if you can teleport objects, take this ledger and teleport it to Adrian.” Alpha Roman said. In less than a minute Adrian was on the floor and Destiny was on top of him with the ledger. “Ok we need to practice teleporting objects obviously”. I want you to practice one hour a day after work and four hours on the week end, also you said you have a black belt in mixed martial arts alpha Roman stated “you need to start training with the warriors.”

“Why does it sound like I’m being punished?” I said. We went to the training fields together the next morning but were put in two different groups. They didn’t know my skills, so I was put with the beginners as werewolves were “naturally stronger” and I was a newbie. It didn’t take long for me to pin all my opponents, so they moved me to the second-year warriors, I also pinned all of them. By this time my two hours was up. As we were walking back to the house Adrian asked me how I was doing it and I giggled. “I can read their minds; I know what move they will do before they even register it then I plan my counterattack.” Adrian laughed but reminded me it won’t be so easy in wolf form which would happen this afternoon. Diamond told me not to worry though that she was a lunar wolf and would be difficult to beat even for an alpha. I smiled smugly at this information. I was loving being a werewolf. When we got home, I made breakfast. Making enough for Adrian his mate Rhonda and Rocky. Adrian and I dropped Rhonda and Rocky off at Roman Securities and we went on to our precinct to start the day.

I got called to the captain’s office where he wanted a plausible explanation as to how I had solved so many cold case files so quickly. “you wouldn’t believe me if I told you” I said to him. But he kept pressuring me and I told him that ever since I was bitten by the dog, I had been getting psychic premonitions. He laughed but it was the actual truth. I just stood there, and he said “you’re serious”

I replied “yes, I can read a file and tell within five minutes of finishing it, where the victim is and who the perpetrator is. He shook his head in a disbelieving manner and said “go back to work whatever your doing keep it up. But remember we also need proof not just your psychic abilities” So, I did. My next cold case file was twenty years old. An eighteen-year-old girl had gone missing and never found. I wrote in big letters “happily married in Chicago with husband and four children” then I wrote the address and put it at the bottom of the stack. I loved the happy ending ones. That evening I took myself to Thai food and enjoyed the meal before heading back to pack lands. I still hadn’t found my mate, Damien. As I pulled up to the security gates an extremely handsome young man came over to the car window. He smelled just like cherry pie. He said MATE at the same time that I did. I gave him my phone number as he was still working and went on to my cottage.

The next morning I went early to the training fields by now I was beating all of them even the commanders. This got the attention of alpha Roman. I went to work and had a non-significant day then returned home for evening training as a wolf. The afternoon came and it was time for me to have two hours training in wolf form. I was nervous about changing in front of everyone, so Adrian told me to shred my clothes and then walk home in Diamond’s body and change there. When I got there, I was once again placed with first years even though I complained about it. When I shifted into Diamond, I overshadowed my competitors by double their size, so I was immediately moved to third years and given a partner. My partner was almost to my shoulder but seemed very overconfident. Again, I took him down no problem. Diamond grabbed him by the neck first pass, and it was over. There were twenty wolves in this group, and I was exhausted when it was over, but I bested every one of them, without too much damage. Alpha Adrian was watching on the sidelines and called me over.

I walked over to him in wolf form, and he asked me to change. I mind linked him I wasn’t comfortable being naked in public yet, so we just talked telepathically. “How are you beating them he asked.”

“I can read their thoughts it makes it easy” I replied.

“that’s not really fair” he stated with a smile.

“My mixed martial arts trainer told me that all things are fair in love and war”

“touché” he stated and walked off. . . That is when my mind slipped and I read that he WANTED ME TO BE HIS CHOSEN MATE!. I made a point to mention my mate several times while talking to him the next day. He pointed out that I wasn’t marked and could be chosen by any person that I needed to be careful until then. I spoke to Damien first chance I got via mind link. I explained everything and told him i wanted to be marked as soon as possible. So, he came to the precinct and took me to the bathroom on break and I was unceremoniously marked in the stall of the girls restroom. The s*x was phenomenal, and the pain was horrible at first but before it was over, I had an exponential orga*sm. I went back upstairs fifteen minutes before the lunch appointment and the alpha saw my mark right off. I could tell he was pissed but he said nothing except that the lunch appointment had been cancelled and I didn’t have another appointment until three pm. I went back down the elevators in time to meet Adrian and Damien for lunch. My three o’clock appointment was approaching when I headed back up the Roman Securities. The man in the elevator with me had lewd thoughts in his head but was also thinking about his upcoming appointment with alpha Roman. He desperately needed and allegiance as his pack was being bombarded with rouge attacks. I felt bad for him. He had very little to offer alpha Roman in way of compensation, so I did my duty and let alpha Roman know what was going on. Luckily the visiting alpha was completely honest with Roman on the situation and alpha Roman took mercy and sent fifty warriors over to help him out. As I got up to leave, alpha Roman apologized to me for making me feel uncomfortable enough to get marked immediately. He stated that he was just desperate to find his mate and with my gifts I was a perfect candidate. Suddenly Diamond spoke up. “Tell him to go to dinner and he will meet his mate.” I relayed the message making sure to tell him it was from Diamond and not myself.

“What dinner?” he asked.

I shook my head “she won’t tell me more except it is a dinner you don’t want to attend.” Right then the phone rang, and alpha Knox was asking me to dinner again. I rolled my eyes then remembered Diamonds advice and accepted.

Alpha Romans POV

Dinner was a disaster. Knox’s daughter was a self-righteous b*tch. But then I smelled the most delicious smell, it was roses and chocolate mixed perfectly. I got up and followed it to the kitchen where the cook was preparing pineapple desserts. My wolf was going crazy in my head MATE MATE MATE MATE MATE. I walked over and asked her what her name was, and she shyly stated “Rosie”

“it’s a beautiful name mate. Are you ready to go home?

“Wait what about my daughter Serena? She is here for you, and you come in here for a lowly omega.”

“The moon goddess doesn’t make mistakes and she is my true mate” we will be taking our leave now. Darling go pack your things and say goodbye to your family. You are going to the New Moon pack as the future Luna. You may bring your family if they wish to come.” Serena started snarling obscenities at the poor girl. I had to have one of my guards go with her to gather her things so she would be safe. We finally were loaded in the SUV’s and leaving the property. I was going to have to thank Diamond for her advice. I wonder if it is another gift manifesting itself or something that is solely Diamond’s ability to do. I took my mate upstairs and introduced her to a world of true love.

Meanwhile Destiny was meeting with Damien who taught her a new level of love making. His promiscuous ways would make a sailor blush. Destiny felt like one lucky woman.

A mind link went out to a small group of wolves and stated I called a meeting with my beta and gamma. “It seems we have a big mouth in our pack. Someone has shared that young miss Destiny is gifted. Now only six people knew about that besides Destiny herself. I want to know who told who and exactly how much was shared.

Richard looked sheepishly and said “I shared that Destiny was gifted with my wife but she wouldn’t tell anyone. I will question everyone else and see if anyone shared information.” Alpha Roman stated, “ok Richard, you need to run a hundred laps tonight after work before you go home. Find out who your wife told and swear her to secrecy if she hasn’t and I want to know TONIGHT if she told anyone at all. Now go and get me some answers.” Roman called Brittiany, Richard’s mate, to the pack house office. She came in and sat down. Roman started in immediately. “Did your mate tell you that someone in the pack was gifted?”

“Why yes he did” she replied automatically.

“Did you tell anyone else” Roman asked.

“Yes, I told Veronica. She was threatening to do something mean to Destiny and I just warned her that it would be dangerous to do so as Destiny was gifted.” Brittiany stated. “Did you tell her what gifts Destiny had?” Roman asked

“No, I only know that she is gifted but not what they were. Veronica was very interested though.” Brittiany said

“Did you tell anyone else” Roman asked.

“No, just Veronica” Brittiany replied.

“ok you can go, but don’t tell anyone else no matter how tempting it is. Or you will spend time in the cells” Roman answered. I linked Richard. “Your wife did tell someone else, so make it two hundred laps around the training field. Next, I called Veronica to come to my office at Roman Securities first thing in the morning as she was not part of the pack.
