7 Russell Foley yawned deeply, leaned back in his office chair, stretched and glanced at his watch. He had initially intended to go home before midnight, after he had looked again for the umpteenth time at the CCTV footage from the shopping centre. Now it was just past two o’clock in the morning. Half the night had passed before he finally realised what it was about the poor quality black-and-white images flickering on the computer screen in front of him that had aroused his curiosity. A member attached to the Forensic Section had delivered more footage at around 10.00pm — footage from the various shopping centre security cameras covering the period from the time the centre opened until it closed, each day over a two-week period prior to the robbery.
