Hello, Mina," Nickolai said. I was shocked and frightened all at once. My heart was beating so fast and my stomach was in knots.

"And who the hell are you," Lincoln said. He had let go of my throat as soon as Jessica appeared. He turned around to face Nickolai. Nickolai just laughed and walked up to Lincoln.

"Child, I am the death bringer and the king of all kings," he said.

"What did you do," I shouted at Jessica.

"Your welcome, this here is the lycan heir and he is more powerful," she started to say.

"Then anyone in the universe and you woke him up so he can kill us all," I interrupted her.

"So dramatic," Jessica said.

"My love," Nickolai said.

"Who?" Jessica asked.

"You're an i***t," I said to them all but really I was speaking to Jessica.

"I am here to help, my love," Nickolai said.

"Don't," I said back. " I know what you truly are and I hate you." Lincoln looked unamused and tried to attack Nick but he was much too powerful to blast away. Nick picked him up with nothing but his own force of will and threw him across the room. He picked him up using only his mind and said

"I am god and you are nothing." Lincoln looked scared but tried to fight back. "Where is the dagger?" Lincoln didn't answer him. He used his powers to lift all of his men in the air and asked again. "Where is my dagger?" Everyone was scared but no one answered him.

"I won't hand it to you and I will kill," Lincoln started to say but Nick just snapped his neck. Lincoln fell to the ground and so did all of his men.

"Stand with me or meet his fate as well," Nick said. They looked around and all took a knee to show their loyalty to their new master.

"Nick, stop please," I said. "You don't have to do this."

"I am just taking back what is mine," he said. "Just as I will be coming back for you." Nick then vanished along with his new army.

"What the hell," Jessica said. Christian in his wolf form walked over to me and tried to comfort me.

"All hope is lost now," I said. Everyone looked at me with defeat in their eyes. Nick was back and he would soon have Mikhail's dagger. Everything I tried to prevent from happening again is happening and I have no way of stopping him now. We were doomed.

"You stupid b***h," I shouted at Jessica while pulling her hair and trying to snap her neck. Christian came running towards us and tried to push me back. "You choose to protect her," I snapped. "After all of this."

I was pissed and my powers were overflowing. My body was covered in lightning and causing some to shoot out and hit random spots. Everyone was scared and trying to dodge the sparks.

"Please calm down," Darien said. I heard his voice and I felt my heart calm down.

"My son," I said. I placed my hand on his cheek. "I'm sorry."

"We will stop him again," Darien said. " I promise." I cried in his arms. He soon picked me up and we began to walk away from the building.

"Wait, where are you going," Christian asked.

"Leave her be," Henry said.

"Excuse you, please Sapphire, tell me what's wrong," he asked.

"I can't," I said softly.

I looked into her eyes and saw nothing. She looked so hurt and sad. I wanted to hold her and be there for her but those vamps wouldn't let me. The pack and I decided to go back to our territory and start rebuilding. We built all-day and all night. Some of the men shifted and slept in their wolf form. I stayed in my old childhood home that was on the other side of our land by a lake. It was quieter then I remembered.

Jessica came with us. I didn't know why I allowed her to stay but I did.

"You should eat something," she said. I rolled my eyes at her and went to my room. I didn't move out until I was nineteen. I missed this house and my parents. I was lost more than ever.

"Look, if she doesn't want you anymore then that's her loss," Jessica said. I got upset at her words and jumped up and attacked her.

"I let you stay but do not cross me and say things about my mate," I said harshly. I walked back into my bedroom and slammed the door shut. I would not let her mess with my mind anymore. I couldn't do much for my mate but I wanted to be there for her. I decided to text her and told her to meet me at a local diner so we could talk. I took a shower and got dressed then headed out.

It has been a long day and I couldn't relax or sleep. Darien and Henry were looking after me but I just wanted to be alone. I took a warm bath and then received a message. It was an address. I got dressed and snuck out of the coven house. I drove to the address and then noticed he was already waiting for me.

"Mina," Nick called me.

"Nick, please whatever it is your planning just don't," I said. "This is a new world and it doesn't have to be like before."

"Mina, my love, I have missed you," he said. He caressed my cheek and then my hair.

"I have missed you, so much," I said tearfully.

"Oh, Mina, you will be a queen to all of these children who are lost and need our guidance," he said.

"They don't need a king or a tyrant," I said. "Leave, just leave." He sighed and walked away from me. He turned back slightly and looked me in the eyes.

"I was your first love Mina and I intend to be your last," he said confidently. I was shocked and taken back by his words. I knew he felt it. I knew he already knew about Christian. I don't know if I can protect him from Nick but I will not let him hurt Christian. I have to stay away from Christian until I know Nick's next move. It won't be easy but I have to. I will stop Nick again no matter the cost. Even if I have to go down with him.

Sapphire never showed up. I wouldn't stop trying to reach her. I called her 11 times that night. I texted her all night till morning. I can't sleep or eat. I just want to see her and touch her. My mind is a mess. I spend all day rebuilding our packhouse but my mind is always on her. Jessica's presence just makes it worse. She is still an enemy and I loathe her. My desperate pleas still go unanswered. It has been a month and no word from anyone. I go to vampire clubs just hoping to spot a familiar leech and tell him to take me to her. I stop by the blonde vamps place but no one is ever there. I seriously don't know what to do. I have nothing but my love and my cherished memories of her. I will not let go.
