As soon as I made contact with the prism, I was hit by something cold and gel-like. I could not breathe, yet, for some reason, this was not a problem. I was aware of the wasp closing in behind me and panicked, but I was propelled forwards while it froze, screaming in agony. I could not tell why. I could neither see nor touch anything and could only feel terror as I fell through what I can best describe as a void. I could hear something like wind chimes, yet it was not a sound I had heard before. The place smelled of cold air, like when snow is just about to fall. Suddenly, something grabbed me and darkness enveloped me. My last thoughts were a prayer that it was not the wasp. The saying ‘There are no atheists in foxholes’ proved itself to be very true indeed.
