2 - Princess?

Kay sniffs the air and voices coming with the wind get her attention. She moves slower, trying not to make noise. She discovers two men talking. One is an older gentleman and the other looks exactly like Ajikis. She frowns at this. She does not see him as a dark. He has a human scent. "Derick, I don't know. Using the old city again? This place is cursed," the older gentleman said. With Kay's hearing, she has no problem listening in on their conversation. "Where else will the beasts go?" Ajikis look-alike, Derick, asks concerned about whatever they are calling beasts.

The old man sighs and looks around. His eyes fell on Kay, who was at that moment, looking at them. "What the hell is that?" He asks and Derick frowns at seeing Kay. Kay realizes she needs to run and to moment she tries to run, she falls over to her right, she had forgotten that she has a stump now. Kay turns to humans and gets up. She will be able to run better in human form at this current stage."Hay wait!!" Derick shouts as Kay suddenly disappears with her falling over. He has never seen a beast become a full animal before, except the rumored wolves.

"I just want to talk!" he shouts afterward again just before Kay's human face pops up. Causing the two men to freeze out of fear. "Princess?" he asks fearfully that their princess might have been listening to their conversation to make a home for the beasts. Kay dusts herself off and clicks her tongue at this occurrence. "Princess Taje?" Derick tried again, but Kay is still not responding to the name or title. He looks back at the old man and he is showing him that they should get closer. Derick takes a breath in before moving closer. Kay looks at the stump and it is healed. Kay takes off the piece of cloth and drops it to the ground, relieved that her wound closed so quickly.

She's glad her body is still healing fast. "You are not the princess," Derick suddenly says loud and disgusted that someone would copy their princess. Kay looked up at him, and the stump gave her away. "well, no," Kay answers him truthfully and sees the old man is trying to get something out of his pocket."Please don't let the old man call authorities!" Kay begs him and her alpha powers take Derick over and he shows the man not to do anything.

Derick looks back at Kay, shocked on his face because he just did her bidding without rejecting it. "What are you?" Derick had to ask. He heard that the beasts can have 'alphas' among themselves to help control them or lead them. He did not know that an Alpha can control humans. Yeah, humans do fear beasts, but that is because they do not understand each other. Kay sees the old man is trying again and she looks directly at him. "Don't you dare call the authorities, Old Man!" Kay demands him and just like with Derick the old man stops immediately and nods, bowing his head at Kay.

"Are you a beasty? But you look exactly like the princess!" Derick can't wrap his head around all this. Kay bites her lip, how will she explain this to the human so that he won't freak out over this. "Uhm, would you believe me if I told you that I am from another dimension?" Kay tries her luck directly and Derick just stares at her for a few seconds. He stares at her, every inch of Kay is exactly like the princess, the only difference is that Kay has a calming and friendly vibe to her.

"You mean the parallel universe with ours?" Derick asks the only question that will make sense to him. "Mm... it was the time controller that moved me here, so I think that is what happened," Kay sounds unsure if that may be the case, but she is going with the explanation for now. "Time controller, you say. We heard that there was one strong enough to move people around," Derick looks at the old man that is walking closer. His blue eyes move back to hers.

Derick realizes that Kay's eye color is different from each other, unlike the princess's eyes that are both one color, light golden brown. That is how the royals have been picked for generations. It is a rare eye color for humans and they all believe that this is why they have always been chosen as rulers. Today it is by default that the one with this eye color will be the next King/Queen. "Why is their grass growing at your feet, deary?" The Old Man finally reaches them and Kay looks down. Her feet are standing in the grass, thick and healthy, just 30cm around her though.

"Uhm..." Kay has no idea how to explain this to them. "Uhm, where I am from, I am called a rainbow born. I have a deep connection with nature," Kay tries to make it sound less insane than it already is. "Are you causing the dead dirt underneath you to become alive again?" Derick asks the question so he can be sure to understand what it is that she is trying to say. Kay nods at this and he knows that beasts have unique abilities. He is a little disappointed that this person is a beast.

Although she can fully become human, they will still see her like a beast for she looks like the princess. "I will, unfortunately, have to report you and put you in the system," Derick does not sound happy about it and Kay nods at this. She did push her luck in the hopes that it would not happen. "Okay, I understand," Kay agrees to this and Derick gives a sympathetic smile at her. "We need to walk, will you be able to do that?" Derick asks and Kay nods at him. He looks at her arm and wonders if that was caused by the time controller too.

"You are a rare one," the old man speaks up as they walk back to their car. "Rare?" Kay asks, unsure if she should take it as a compliment. "There is not many that can be this calm and understanding with humans," he elaborates on the subject and Kay nods with this. "So, I take it this beast are animals?" Kay asks and Derick smiles. "Well, they are humanoids with animal features," Derick explains briefly, and Kay frowns at hearing this. "So with animal features, you mean?" Kay asks curiously, and Derick smiles. "They have tails and ears and some have claws and wings, deary," the old man explains, and Kay understands better. "Werecreatures," Kay uses the correct term for them.
