CHAPTER 1
In a world filled with magic, there live some magical creatures who lived in a magical world. Among those creatures were the werewolves formed by blood, bounded by packs. "What are you trying to say, Jeovanni?" Octavia Ashina had asked in the presence of the entire pack. "I don't want you as my Luna Octavia; is that hard for you to understand? I don't know why your ears aren't functioning, Jeovanni Lum yelled at her in front of the entire pack. "Maybe I misheard you. Can you repeat what you just said? Octavia said, moving towards him. "I don't want you as my Luna," he repeated. "You don't mean that, right? Tell me you don't mean it."I won't take back my words, Octavia." "Tell me you are joking," Octavia said, clutching his collar. "Get a hold of yourself before I tear you apart." "You can't do this to me. After what we have suffered all these years, Three whole years, Jeovanni, three whole years, she said as tears rolled down her eyes. "Jeovanni, you have no right to behave like that to my sister. I can't believe your love for her could end like that. Is that how you men behave after three years? She is your assigned mate, but you are here rejecting her, Kalevala Ashina said as she moved closer to them. "My mate isn't as weak as her. My mate should be fierce, not the other way around. I don't ever want to see your weak face in this pack ever again. Jeovanni Lum Alpha of the Moonlight Pack therefore banishes Octavia Ashina from this pack, never for her to return." "It's okay, Kalevala; he doesn't love me anymore. I don't want to be a burden to him. I just want you to know that I love you, Octavia said to Jeovanni as she left the collars of his clothes and moved to leave the pack. "I will never forgive you, Jeovanni. I don't even know what my sister sees in a bully like you. If the world were filled with guys like you, it would be disastrous." Kalevala finished her sentence and ran after her sister. "I want you to take care of my father and mother's property for me, Kalevala. This might be the last time you will ever see me again.". "Let's go together. I can't leave you alone in the woods." "I can't let you follow me, little sister."I don't want to be a burden to you. Just promise me that you will live a good and peaceful life, Octavia said, stretching her pinky out. "I promise," Kalevala said as tears dropped from her eyes. "I will miss you so much, little sister," Octavia said as tears rolled out of her eyes and she hugged her sister. "I will also be Octavia. Promise me that you will stay alive and healthy." "I promise," Octavia replied to her younger sister while wiping her tears away from her face. She walked away as her younger sister kept on crying at her back. She had to stay strong if she wanted to survive in the woods. "Goodbye, old pack, Octavia said as she went into the woods. "I will miss you," Octavia heard her sister say. She wiped her tears and moved deeper into the woods. The woods weren't friendly, as she kept on jumping due to different strange sounds. She knew she wouldn't be able to survive, and she didn't have her beloved Alpha to protect her. This wasn't what she wished for. She had thought of a life whereby she and her Alpha would live happily with their children. She didn't expect life to be so cruel to her. She went along the bushy paths and the creaking and breaking sounds of twigs sent fear into her mind. "Why did he have to leave me?" she thought "That's a simple question; he doesn't love you anymore," her wolf replied. "That's not true. He loves me, and I know it. You are just trying to trick me." "If it isn't true, then why are you walking in the woods, a path filled with thorns, twigs, and other things, when you are supposed to be with the so-called love of your life, eating beef and sitting and watching the moon?" "You don't know anything about him. He loves me; he just needs time to think. I know he will come for me." "Keep dreaming, baby gal. You are on your own out here, with only me as your conscience". The fight in her mind continued, as she still didn't want to accept the fact that he left her. Her legs ached as she walked in the steep bush paths. She was continually pricked by thorns and injured by a sharp wood fragment. She was losing blood at a fast rate, but she didn't care. She was tired of life."What do I want to live for now?" she asked herself as she continued walking with blood flushing out of her body. She was stressing herself both mentally and physically. Her body was losing its durability slowly. Night came, and she needed a space for shelter, but she couldn't find it due to her blurry eyes. She rested near a tree that didn't have any thorns. She soon started to cry her eyes out. She had missed the way things used to be before now. Her eyes were bloodshot from the tears, and her legs were stressed out from the long work and the various injuries."I know he loves me. I will find out why he left me, and when I do, I will never forgive anyone who took part in it, she said to herself before falling to the ground. Her eyes opened slowly at the sight of the sun smiling at her. She finally opened her eyes to see herself in a house made out of bamboo sticks and different types of wood. She tried to stand, but she was too weak. She looked at her body, where some parts were covered with green leaves, which she knew were herbs. "Where am I?".
