"Help me!" Octavia screamed as she grabbed onto the solid ground that hadn't fallen.
"I am coming, Octavia," Jeovanni replied to her as he ran towards her at full speed.
"Save me," she said as her hands began to slide off the ground.
"I am here," he said, still moving towards her, slowly trying not to break off the remaining edge of the cliff where she was clinging.
"Hurry".
"Grab onto my hand," he said as her hand finally slipped but was caught by his hand just in time.
"Ahhhh!" she screamed, looking at the depth of the cliff.
"I thought you weren't scared of heights."
"Then you got me all wrong," she said, reaching for his second hand.
"Really, but you wanted to take a leap of faith right down the alley," he teased. Taking her hands, he pulled her up and placed her on the solid ground, not letting go of her hand.
"Stop teasing me. I was just down." She said she was looking away from him.
"I was just joking. I didn't mean it like that, he said with a mood of apology.
"I know. I didn't mean to make you all work up, she replied, cutting off his hands and moving towards the village.
"Hey Octavia, Can you meet me at Henry's restaurant tomorrow? Just for a little talk."
"I am a busy werewolf. I don't think I would have time for that, but okay.".
"Thanks," he said, appreciating her answer.
"I should be thanking you for saving my life. It's the only thing I can do to pay you back."
"Sure thing." See you tomorrow.
PRESENT DAY
"Ever since that day, me and Jeovanni started talking, and I started feeling alive and felt my life had a certain meaning. We soon started to drift away from the path of friendship, and we eventually became lovers, Octavia continued as Fenris heaved a sigh of relief.
"So what happened? Did he die, get killed, get eaten up by a monster, or get sick? What happened to him?" Fenris asked with anxiety in his eyes.
"No, no, no, no, no, he didn't die." She put his flames of anxiety out.
"Then why did you leave the village?"
"Well, the story continues. On the mating ceremony day, I and Jeovanni were chosen as mate, and we were so happy about it. He got me a ring to show me his love, and things went well until two months ago. He started to see me as a thrash all of a sudden. Anything I say becomes an utterance of insolence to him. I became neglected, and he refused to make me his Luna when it was time for the final ceremony. I was dumbfounded by his words and thought he was joking, but he got worked up and banished me from the town. I became depressed as I walked into the woods; all I could think about was him, but it seemed that he didn't love me anymore."
"So, in other words, he rejected and banished you on the same day of the final mating ceremony.".
"Yes," she said as she began to cry.
"He must be a jerk. Don't worry about him; there are other guys out there willing to die for a beauty like you, he said, petting her back as she placed her head on his shoulders.
"I know," she said as the tears continued to roll out.
"Don't worry, everything will be fine," he said to her as he hugged her and patted her back.
"It's okay," she said as she nullified the hug and wiped her tears.
"Sorry for bothering you so much," she apologized to him.
"It's nothing to worry about. I want to show u something, he said to her as he held her hands, leading the way. Cutting down a wall of bamboo with his claws, he walked into the bamboo forest, still holding her hands. Finally, he left her hands, and Octavia's sad mood was nullified.
"What happened here?" she asked him, looking at the graves present.
"These are the number of people we also lost during the fight with the orcs. It was tragic at the end. The entire village would have almost wiped out if not for my parents and my mate, he sighed, remembering the event.
"What happened to them?" she asked him.
"They sacrificed their lives so I could live and lead the village, especially my mate Larisa. She was keen on saving me and ended up killing the commander of the orcs, which led to the entire orc army chasing after her. I believed she would come back to me, but she didn't. Several days later, I went in search of her. It didn't take too long when I found her resting on a tree, her body wounded all over. I ran in her direction, taking her head in my arms; she was barely breathing, and I was sure she would have lived if I had come to search for her earlier, Fenris said with a sober look.
"You shouldn't be hard on yourself, Fenris. She didn't want you dead, for she had predicted a greater future for your people. I am sure she wouldn't be able to bear it if you died; that's why she fended them off herself.".
"I know, but I can't stop placing the blame on myself. She was the only woman who saw me for who I really was and not as the Alpha of the Bluemoon Pack. I miss her as the days go by, because without her, I feel an emotional void in my heart that can't be replaced."
"I know the feeling, Fenris; I have experienced it. The part of life where the only person who acknowledges you is lost and an empty void appears in your heart. The pain is incomprehensible, Octavia said, patting his back in a slow rhythm.
"Thank you, Octavia. I feel a little enlightened since I kept it inside of me for 2 whole years.".
"Now let's hurry back home," Fenris said to Octavia.
"Not so fast, Fenris.". A thick voice is heard in the bushes.
