        “Ninety-seven, ninety-eight, ninety-nine, two hundred.” I hissed, lying back on the ground as my stomach muscles cried in protest. Pleasant tiredness settled over my body after the short workout. I spread my arms by my side and stretched out my legs, listening to my labored breathing and the sounds nearby. Only Everett was inside the house, doing something downstairs. Life outside the house seemed to proceed as usual, nobody coming to the house or approaching me even when I was out for fresh air.
