Venetia entered her mansion and went straight to her room. Her husband was already laying on the bed in deep sleep, unaware of the embarrassment his wife just went through. In shame, she hugged her body and laid quietly by her husband. Fresh hot tears rolled out of her eyes, and she cried silently.
She's a failure! The definition of failure! She's failed as a mother, a wife, a good person, and even a good neighbour. Why the hell will she do such a thing? How could she have been so dense, to leave the comfort of her home and disturb another person's, because she was careless as a mother. At her age, she couldn't even look after her little girl. Her body shook intensely as she tried her best to not wake Lambert up.
Poor Lambert. All he ever did was good. He was always a good person. Always putting her first before everything. Whenever she needed a shoulder to cry on, he was always there. Telling her everything was going to be okay.
She couldn't bear to wake him up, so she left the room and went to Tiana's bedroom. She laid on the bed and stared at her reflection in the mirror. She was reminded of herself and Tiana, when her baby was still little. She and Tiana back then, always went to the forest to pick flowers.
"Mommy, I want a big flower house" little Tiana would say, dressed in a white little flower dress, with her curly hair in a braid.
"Okay, baby" Venetia would reply, picking up a blue rose, and placing it by her ear. With loving, she'll kiss her forehead and little Tiana would giggle, embracing her mother.
"My poor baby" she cried, taking a long sniff of the sheets. She hope the people that have her hasn't found out she was a mermaid. Her body shook as she imagined the horrible things they would do to her. That night, Mrs.Denton cried herself to sleep.
The next morning, Dera and other neighbours, spread the news of Tiana's disappearance like wild fire. The news spread all over the small town of Neuron. Every woman rambled on about her disappearance. Some even came to pay them a visit, but Bishop stopped them at the entrance, and told them off. Most of them who went there, would go to Dera's mansion after to hear more gossip.
That day, the Denton's residence was quiet as a mouse. Even vibrant little Eve, became mellow.
Bishop filled Lambert in on what happened the previous night, and he was devastated. He tried going to his wife, but she locked herself in Tiana's room, unable to face him. Later that day, Lambert left the house ad went to the magistrate for file in a missing person case. As people saw him, them gist and geste, pointing at him. Still with his head up high, Lambert walked passed them, even though he wanted to coward in shame. After he returned, no one else left the house, including Bishop.

In the royal castle,
The Queen sat on her throne with a servants around her, fanning, massaging, and feeding her. She was in deep thought as she remembered the young black girl at the ball, with mermaid pearls. Her eyes suddenly glowed bright red, as she grabbed one of the servant, and bit into his neck. Few seconds later, the servant dropped dead, and her face and jaws turned normal. The other servants around didn't feel startled and continued with their things. Another servant came in with his head bowed, and remove the dead body.
"Get me a messenger" she ordered and one of the servants left to fetch the queen a messenger. Few minutes after, a man dressed in an overall white came in and bowed
"Your Majesty"
"Get me that girl with pearls at the ball. Tell her, her presence is needed at royal castle. She could come with anybody she wants" she instructed.
"Yes, my Queen" he bowed before taking his leave.

Tiana left the window side, and went to the door. She turned the door knob, but it didn't budge. Her heart skipped a beat in fright. The image of the bloody head kept clouding her mind, that she couldn't think straight. Her mind kept drifting to her family, and for some weird reason, she felt really terrified. She's searched every nook and crook of the room but she couldn't find an escape root. The doors she found were sealed shot, she couldn't climb out the window, because it's too small, and she couldn't get out the front door because it was locked from the outside.
What the hell is this place?
She sat on the bed in frustration. What was going on? Was this really the royal castle? Why would someone bring her here? Could it be that man from the previous night? What does he want from her? She closed her blue eyes and left out a tired sigh.
She suddenly sprung to her feet when she heard heavy footsteps coming from the outside door. She ran and hide behind a big chair. She took a wood from the fireplace for protection. She read from the book in the library that a vampire could die by a stick in the heart.
The door knob jiggled and she prepared herself for battle.
Nicklaus entered the room and found nobody there, he used his vamp hearing and detected a heartbeat behind a chair. Slowly, he made his way towards there, and all of a sudden, the girl jumped out and strike a stick in his heart. He's eyes widen in shock, as he slowly loosed consciousness and fell. His body turned pale immediately and he died.
Tiana breath heavily as she couldn't believed what she just did. She stared at the dead vampire on the floor in disbelief. She recognized him as the man from last night and she started panicking.
Was it really necessary? What has she done? What if he wasn't the bad guy and just tried to help her? What has she done? She should have thought this through before attacking him. She never thought, she would be able to kill. All she did was sway the stick. What has she done? She's a murderer! Nobody's going to believe that he's a vampire and she killed him. What if he has a family and they found out she killed him?!? Would they come for her?
