"He wasn't a thief after all."

760 Words
As Brawn toured the sub-pack house to clear his head, he remembered that the sub-pack house was once his home. He had been too occupied with the thought of the shifting ceremony that he did not remember he was at the very place where he spent the first six years of his life. He looked around and noticed that only a few changes had been made. The herds of farm animals were still kept inside a fence at the edge of the compound and flowers were still grown in strategic areas. The notable changes Brawn could identify in the house were that the buildings had been repainted and the big statue of Alpha Brio had been taken down too. Brawn sneaked into the sub-pack building and let himself wander through the house. Every step he took, brought him memories of the days he walked the corridor with his father. He almost felt like he was six again and still living in the house. He felt pain and strong emotion as memories of his childhood filled his brain. He really missed his family and wished they were still alive and living with him there. He strolled upstairs to the room that was formerly his when he was still a little pup before the attack. He looked to his left and to his right to ensure nobody was coming. He opened the door gently and took a peep inside. He saw that nobody was inside so he opened the door fully and glanced around the room. It had been refurbished and decorated in a feminine style. Suddenly he heard a feminine voice behind him. "Excuse me, please who are you?" the voice said behind him. He swerved and saw a lady standing some distance away from him. Fear gripped him and he became disorganized. He started stuttering, "I – My – Actually – I . . . I am very sorry for coming here. This is my first time in the sub-pack house so I was blown away by how fascinating the building looked so I wandered into it . . . I actually did not know how I got here." He looked at the lady and hoped she bought his lie. There were burning torches on the walls but somehow the lady's face was hidden in the shadows. He knew he had gotten himself into trouble so he could only hope for a miracle. "How did you get here without anyone stopping you?" she questioned him again. "I actually . . . The thing is –" Brawn was trying to rack his brain for a sensible reason but was interrupted by the lady. "You are a thief, right?!" her voice boomed. She moved closer and the light from the burning torches fell on her face making it visible to Brawn. Brawn quickly identified her face. It was one of the ladies that followed the Beta female to the hospital earlier that morning. She was not the Beta female's sister. She was the other lady that followed them. He saw this as an advantage and quickly introduced himself. "No! I am not a thief. I am one of the boys who the head salutary introduced to you this morning at the hospital, ma'am." Brawn said and bowed his head a little. He did not know she was an omega because she was dressed in an expensive gown. Sparkle looked at him for a while and said, "I remember you." Brawn breathe a sigh of relief. "You can go but if I discover that anything is missing, the Alpha would come for you with every warrior in the main pack," she concluded with a threat. "I assure you nothing is missing, ma'am." "I hope so for your own good," She said and entered the room. Brawn started walking fast. He did not want anyone else to see him in the sub-pack building talk less of seeing him upstairs. He had managed to escape trouble upstairs but he knew he might not be so lucky again. He hurried down the stairs and sneaked out of the building. Sparkle opened the drawer and found the purse there. She stood up and examined the room. She shifted her eyes to her wolf's in order to have a clearer vision. "He wasn't a thief after all," she said to herself. She came out and headed to where she had left Au. She met Au coming in her direction with two other omega females. "What took you so long? The ceremony has started," Au asked almost impatiently.
