"I brought your food, ma'am," the voice answered.
"Oh, come in."
The door opened and an older omega female walked in carrying a tray containing covered bowls. Sparkle quickly left the bags she was unpacking and went to collect the tray from her.
"I hope hers is there also?" Au asked the older omega female.
"It is fine. I can go and take mine from them downstairs," Sparkle said immediately before the older omega female could respond.
"Her food is also on the tray, ma'am," the omega female responded.
"That would be all. You can leave now. Thank you," Au dismissed her.
At the hospital, Alex returned from the store with a bag of more leaves to be mashed. The boys continued mashing in silence then Brawn broke it as his tummy started to rumble. He remembered that the boys did not leave any note indicating where his food was kept.
"What happened this morning? No one left any note. Not even a f*****g clue! You all made me confused as f**k . . . You guys did not save some food for me?" Brawn tabled his plight.
"Calm down bro," Rex chuckled and explained, "Two hunters were attacked early this morning by some rogues during the morning hunt. They were badly hurt. They were brought here in pain so a guardian came to call us for assistance."
The hunters of the pack went out every morning to hunt animals for the pack. The pack had hunting grounds in the forest in which no neighbouring pack trespassed because of the fear of Alpha Veer. Alpha Veer controlled the biggest and strongest pack in the neighbourhood.
"So why wasn't I called?" Brawn asked curiously.
Rex stopped mashing, looked at Brawn and said in a mocking tone, " That was because you slept like a lazy f*****g hippopotamus! I shook you countless times. I even tapped you on the f*****g face but you just turned from one position to another, muttering some nonsense nobody understood. I left you when you almost poked my left eye with your fingers."
Kite was laughing his heart out as Rex spoke.
Brawn did not mind what Rex said. He was hungry and wanted to eat so he turned to Luke and asked, "Did you save some food for me?"
Luke smiled and shook his head as he announced, "No one has eaten yet. We get to eat only after we are done with mashing."
Kite was still laughing while Alex and Rex chuckled. Luke was still having his smile on.
Suddenly, the door opened again and Salutary Hale entered but this time he was alone. All the grin he had earlier had disappeared, he had his usual straight face on.
He walked slowly to his assistant and enquired about some things. He looked around for a while and went into the store.
The boys had stopped their discussion while he was looking around because they knew the kind of werewolf he was.
Salutary Hale was a short werewolf with a long thick moustache which sat comfortably on the top of his upper lips. He loved his position as the sub-pack's salutary and this was most evident as he walked through the hospital. He had a thick protruded tummy which looked like it was filled with confidence. He was transferred (and promoted) to the sub-pack as the head salutary while the previous pack head salutary of The blue moon pack became his assistant. Salutary Hale was a very principled werewolf who did not hesitate to dish out stern words to anyone who misbehaved.
The boys saved every one of their discussions for later and concentrated on meshing the herbs in front of them. They knew that "The minister for hail distributions" was around and still the business of hail distribution.
