RUIN ME

1198 Words
XANDER This is bullshit! All of it! I’ve ordered every man in the club to comb every damn corner of this territory for Mia, but the reports keep coming back the same: nothing. Mia is nowhere to be f*****g found. Where the hell could she have gone? I shouldn’t have listened to her. I should have picked her up and put her on the bike no matter what she said. “Connor, I am not going to say it again. No one does a single f*****g thing, until Mia is—“ I narrow my eyes at the car pulling into the driveway. “I’ll call you back.” My hand tightens on the receiver, my focus resting on the black truck. The door opens, and Mia steps out. She’s wearing nothing but an oversized t-shirt that barely reaches mid-thigh, it’s thin, white, and clearly not hers. The fabric clings to her curves, the hem riding up just enough to tease the smooth skin of her upper thighs and the shadow between her legs. No bra. Her n*****s are visibly hard against the soft cotton, pressing out like they’re begging for attention. My c**k instantly thickens and throbs painfully against my zipper, heavy and aching at the sight of her like this, still the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen. My wolf starts pacing in the back of my mind, snapping its teeth. “You waited and waited for her, the beast taunts, and the first chance she gets, she crawls into another man’s bed.” I shove the thought down into the dirt where it belongs. Mia isn’t like that. But when I see the white of the bandage wrapped around her head, the rage turns into a cold, sharp panic. I slide my phone into my pocket and walk towards her before she can even take three steps. “Mia? You’re hurt,” I reach for her, my eyes scanning the wound. “What happened? Who did this?” She looks at me, her expression flickering with confusion. She did seem annoyed when she got down. She lets out a dry, breathy laugh. “Wow, look at you being all concerned. Careful, Xander, you might ruin your reputation for being the world’s biggest asshole.” Okay. She’s definitely mad about something. I wonder if it’s the brunette fucker in the driver’s seat of the truck. He seems awfully familiar. She doesn’t wait for an answer. She just turns and walks toward the house. The man in the driver’s seat pokes his head out of the window to say something. I don’t give him a second of my time. I don’t care who he is. I follow Mia inside and slam the door behind us. “What the hell were you thinking?” I bark, following her into the living room. “Where the f**k did you go? Worse things could have happened to you than a bump on the head. You have no idea what’s out there, do you?” She spins around, her hands shaking, her whole body vibrating with a nervous energy I can’t quite read. “Why do you even care, Xander? Why does any of this matter to you?” She’s rambling now, her voice getting higher, more frantic. After everything with West, she’s clearly hurting. Fuck it. I reach out and grab her hand, yanking her toward me. She crashes against my chest, the impact knocking the air out of her. Her soft t**s press firmly against my hard chest, her n*****s already peaked and rubbing against me through her shirt. I wrap my arms around her, and my hand moves to the back of her head, rubbing the spot just below her bandage. She sucks in deep breaths in and out, pressed against my chest, her warm breath fanning over my neck, her body heat soaking into me. But when I lean in, close to her neck… I see red. There’s a scent on her. A thick, masculine scent that isn’t mine. It’s fresh. It’s everywhere. Rage, hot and primal, boils up in my throat. That brunette motherfucker. I pull back just enough to grab her chin, forcing her to look at me. “Where were you?” I demand, my voice dropping to a dangerous vibration. She searches my face before flinching. “Why are you acting so weird?” The reason is screaming in my head but I don’t say it, I will be a fool too. “His scent is all over you, Mia,” My jaw hardens. “Did you f**k him?” Her eyes light up, not with shame, but with a pure, unadulterated anger. “No,” she spits out, glaring at me. “But I could. And it would have absolutely nothing to do with you.” She shakes her head and looks away from me. Disappointment? Anger? Embarrassment? Why can’t I read her damn mind? “My husband is dead, Xander. His body is missing so I can’t even bury him, and you want to interrogate me? The haze is coming. It’s hitting me so hard I can barely think straight. So you’ll have to forgive me if I don’t want to be driven insane. If I just want to f**k someone to make it stop.” I’ve never seen her like this. She’s raw, desperate, and completely undone. Seeing her lose that composed edge makes my blood roar. I’m hard—aching and heavy—and it’s f*****g painful. I’ve wanted her for years. That’s why I stayed away, why I kept the club between us. But every bit of restraint I’ve spent three years building is cracking, piece by piece the longer I stand in her space. Mia looks me dead in the eye. “It’s not like you’re going to help me out, are you?” The f**k? She turns her back on me and starts to walk away, but I can’t let her. My c**k is throbbing painfully against my zipper, the scent of her arousal still clinging to my shirt from when she was pressed against me. Before she can take another step, I grab her wrist and yank her back against me. My hand slides down her body possessively, cupping her p***y through her pants. She’s soaked. f*****g drenched. “You’re wet,” I growl low in her ear, voice dark and filthy. I slip two fingers inside her pants, finding her slick folds, and stroke her once, feeling how slippery and hot she is. “You’re wet for him too?” I bring my fingers to my mouth and lick them clean, tasting her sweet, needy slick. I’m going to f**k him out of her system. I’m going to bury my c**k so deep inside her dripping p***y that she forgets every other man exists. She jerks away, but not before I feel her p***y clench at my words. Her body is betraying her mouth, hips twitching, breath coming faster. She turns her back on me again and walks away, leaving me standing there in the middle of the room, vibrating with a hunger that’s definitely going to ruin me. I let her walk away…for now.
