The cats were a right pain last night, Mary in particular this morning was mewing and purring and standing on our faces. I don’t really know what she wanted, the window was open so it’s not like she was stuck inside and they don’t get fed until 12 o’clock-ish so it shouldn't have been that. Whatever her problem was, she woke us up far earlier than we would have liked. It didn’t achieve anything either, David and I are both stubborn when it comes to bed and won't get up until we need to, no matter what cat or even people try to tell us. We like our bed, sleep is important. Getting up I was tired due to our oh so loving pets, but I got myself ready and headed off to work. It was sunny this morning, though the dark clouds on the horizon suggested it wasn’t going to stay like that. I wish the rain would stop for like a week rather than just these little half days it was doing every now and then.  Pulling into work I prepared myself for the difficult parking job. The first part was ok, I’ve been doing it for a long time before lock-down so it came back pretty quickly, but getting into the spot I'd found was a little tricky like I thought it would be. It’s just going to take a little practice to get lined up right with the gap I'm parking in, as it was, I managed to knock the mirror a bit which will no doubt cause issues later in the day and I had it in the perfect position before… Inside I signed in at the office and found, as I expected, I was on the deli counter. As it was a weekday I was definitely going to be on my own, but it seemed we had enough staff in today to have at least one runner to help keep the food moving out to the customers. I also finished the bits I didn't get done yesterday. The main job was cleaning out the part that holds all the salad choices. I try to do this at least once a week as no one else seems to and it can get really horrible in there, as bits of food fall between the tins. Unfortunately, I’ve not managed to do it over the last couple of weeks so it was a little worse than normal. It wasn’t that bad though and I got it done well before any orders started coming in. And come in they did. It started earlier than normal too and once it started it didn’t stop. Thankfully it wasn’t so much that I couldn't handle it. There were a few moments where I almost got over my limit but I managed to keep the number of orders down to five backed up throughout the day. I’m actually a little proud of myself for that, as silly as that may seem. Being able to handle a whole day that constantly at least proves to me that I’m ok on deli and the trouble I was having with Stef a week or so ago really was just him being a douchebag.  Cleaning down went much more smoothly than the previous couple of days, though they left me to do the floors at the end which went over time a little. It really aggravates me when I'm still working trying to make sure everything is done properly when the rest of the staff are standing around having a natter. If there’d been just one person to help I’d probably had finished on time. But no, they’ve got to have a good chat before they go home. I admit to doing it sometimes, but not nearly as often as a lot of them.  As we stepped outside to head home you’ll never guess what the weather was like. Yep, it was raining again, and this time pretty consistently, it looked like I was going to get wet. Getting the bike out of the tight space was a bit of a pain again, but I managed it fairly ok, there was one moment when I felt I almost dropped the bike, that would have been bad, but I managed to keep it up right just. It’s because the path is at a slight slant and a hill so it moved back a little faster than I was expecting and I used the brakes a little too hard, which as I was moving round the corner, caused more falling potential. Once I was out of the gates and actually on the bike, I then had to sort out the mirror. Just like I had suspected it was way off and it took me a good few minutes to get right again. It can be hard sometimes, as they need to be in a very specific place for me and the position you sit in while stopped and while moving is a little different, so the view in the mirror is a little different. It’s a hard balancing act especially with how low the mirrors are on this bike. The trip itself was ok apart from the rain making it harder to see, the cars around me kept their distance for once so apart from some who were parked in really dumb places such as on double yellow lines, those lines are there for a reason people, I got home with out to much issue. Home was very good and I was even more glad to get out of my now soggy gear. Throwing things over various radiators and setting them to run for a couple of hours was my best bet on getting the gear dry, though thankfully tomorrow would be a day off so they should be ok by the time I’ll need to put it all on again. I was really tired after such a busy day and decided that rather than being a little cramped sitting at my PC, I’d instead play some more Batman on the Xbox where I could stretch out on the sofa. This game is beginning to get really interesting with the Joker being in Batman’s head and popping up all over the place making snarky comments. I’m really interested to see where the story goes. I’m not so keen on the Riddler parts of the game, I never have been, and to make them mandatory this time seems a little dumb on the developers part, though the bigger challenges that are more story based aren’t too bad, after all i’m getting to play as Catwoman again which I loved from the last game, even if it is only briefly. I guess I just need to wait for the end parts of the game to go round grabbing all the trophies, as half of the ones I have found so far have been locked behind equipment upgrades I don't have access to yet.  David got dinner sorted quite late and we watched some Batman: the animated series to finish off the evening. I’m getting a lot of Batman content at the moment and I love it, haha!
