So today I woke up in pain, that's always fun. When I was younger I managed to damage my knee. It's never been officially diagnosed or anything but something went wrong as ever since it's been much weaker and can randomly hurt, it's also been worse since my bike accident. I think I must have slept funny as it felt like it was being twisted even when I was holding it straight. I knew right from the word go this wasn't going to be a fun day.  I got up and got ready for work like normal, if a little slower, trying not to aggravate my knee anymore than I needed to. Going outside the weather looked glum, though it wasn't actually raining even if it was trying. The roads were clear and only a touch damp so I didn't need to worry about that today. Finally getting into work I got off the bike and limped my way inside.  Work was fairly normal today, I was on the deli counter and there was actually enough staff in for me to both have a colleague on counter with me and a dedicated runner. This made everything so much smoother, even if Katelyn is fairly new to the counter, this was only her second time on as far as I know, but she picked it up fairly quickly, she's just a little slow at this point.  The day went fairly quickly but towards the end Katelyn was moved onto the floors since they had a lot to do today. Apparently there was only going to be 2 cleaners in tomorrow so we needed to do the floors etc of the entire restaurant rather than just behind the counters like normal. I ended up being thankful for this as it meant we were expecting to go home later than normal and for some reason I ended up very behind on closing the deli counter. I think the last five minutes or so half the staff ended up helping out to get all the basics done. Only thing I can think of is that because I had Katelyn for most of the day I was still in the mind set that I had help, so I didn't rush it as much. During the clear down I had decided to take my glasses off. I'm not super blind, but I do need them as a general rule but can cope without them for the most part. Sometimes with the addition of the face masks we need to wear they dig into my head uncomfortably so I take them off to stop that. Well today that was a mistake. I think because it had been a hard day and I was in pain I completely forgot about them and left them sitting on the side as we all headed home. I didn't notice until I had all my bike kit on and was standing next to the bike squinting at my surroundings. The problem is my eyesight is bad enough that to be legal on the roads I need my glasses. This was a problem. So I limped back to the restaurant back entrance to find it locked, I knew that the front was already locked so there was little I could do. I have a spare pair at home so tomorrow won't be an issue, it was just getting home at this point that was the problem and I needed some fuel so it was a slightly longer journey than normal. In the end I was too tired to go looking for someone who could let me back in and decided to risk it. Going home was nice, or would have been if I'd had my glasses, the sun was finally out and once again the roads were clear. It must be the time of day that we get out or something because I'm sure it never used to be this consistently empty before the COVID-19 lockdown, but I was going home later back then. I thankfully managed to get fuel and get home without issue, even if I was much more on edge than normal. Getting home I got straight to Conan. I'm really enjoying the game but I'm beginning to wonder if I should go back to a personal server and carry on there instead. The others seem to be losing interest as they are now always playing Destiny when I check. Oh well never mind, I'm still having fun so I'll keep playing. I carried on building the base, making sure we had all the various crafting benches etc before getting a little tired of all the building and crafting so I decided to go t****l hunting. I would want a good few of them as I want to have all the battlements manned etc, so after fitting in the biggest breaking wheel, I set out looking for NPC camps. There are plenty in the area and I caught four new thralls two of which were the highest level, so that was cool. It takes a while to do though and that's not helped by the lag and the numerous deaths that caused. So after the fourth I stopped to have dinner with David. While eating we watched some more batman. A scarecrow then a poison ivy episode. Then it was to bed and boy was I glad, I was knacked, in pain, and wishing I didn't have work tomorrow too.
