Why is it you just can't get off of the phone when it's your parents, or is that just me? Anyway, due to my rather late time going to bed last night, I also got up rather late. You might be noticing a pattern by this point, I generally always get up late. First thing we did was pop to the co-op. David needed things for meals over the next few days and I needed some bottles of juice, which all together is very heavy, not something David could manage on his own as he's on crutches. As we were walking around the shop we went down the bread aisle which also had the cakes and things. I couldn't resist getting some donuts. I was just going to get one pack to share between us but there were an odd number of donuts in one packet. I think it's a ploy because there's no way to split five equally, and being donuts it's hard to break one in half without making a mess, so, to be fair, you have to buy two packs. Which is what I did. I hate my brain sometimes. Here I am trying to lose a little weight when my brain is like 'yes, need donuts, needs to be equal and fair, needs one whole pack for myself' it's very frustrating. Once we got home I set the Conan server running in the hopes that it would be smoother if it's been on for a while before I actually played. In theory giving it time to load everything up before anyone actually played on it would help. As I was checking Discord I noticed my dad had sent me a message yesterday saying that mum wanted to talk. Great, I knew it would only be for one or two reasons, but I also know it would last for at least an hour. Two and a half hours later I finally put the phone down. She was mainly asking about some unbuilt Warhammer models I had left over there from when I lived with them. It was a fairly easy conversation to have and I had hoped that was the end of it, but of course not. We ended up talking about my gran who's hurt herself, a bit about politics and COVID-19, how my work is going, how the cats are doing, and finally what video games she might like to play. This took the longest as I went through my entire library and my wishlist trying to help. I probably ended up sending just under 30 different suggestions ranging from RTSs and turn based games, to story rich walking simulators. Hopefully she'll find something she likes in that list. Once I finally got off of the phone with mum I loaded up Conan and at last got on with building the base. Sil also came online and convinced me that we should have a map room. It's a large object that lets you teleport to different locations on the map after you've been to the area and interacted with it's obelisk. I was going to have the main tower be living quarters, have a level for each of us, but now it's the place for the map room, since the thing is just so damn big. I'm not really sure what Sil did while on besides making the map and killing a few things, but I'm glad he did come on. When we first came to the ridge I made a small platform to put down our bedrolls. Turns out that was rather in the way and to complete part of the castle it had to be moved.  Of course it's still not finished though and I've run out of bricks again, this is such a big project but it's looking cool even if I do say so myself. One thing I don't understand is why people lie when they can so easily be caught. Pyro had said earlier that he'd come online for a bit to get those things done that he wanted help with at the time he was playing a different game with some of the others. But a few hours later he came back with that he was feeling tired and wouldn't be coming online. That's fair enough, I've felt that way myself plenty of times, it's even part of the reason I didn't play yesterday. But then I noticed he was still playing this other game which, from what I understand is a PvP type of game, though I guess I could be wrong on that, either way it's at least MMO style and from what I hear, the level where the content he plays is fairly intense. Personally if I'm too tired for Conan I'm also too tired for any other multiplayer games and if he just wanted to continue to play that why not say so, it's not like the reason for not joining really makes any difference.  To finish the evening off David and I watched some Batman: the animated series now that the internet had settled. It was the episode about Crime Allie getting blown up and the first mad hatter one. Both cool stories. I did leave Conan on while we watched as I was planning on going back on just to finish a couple of things off but the dumb game crashed. So I loaded it up again after the 10 minute wait for it to close properly only to have it crash again. I almost gave up but thought third time's the charm right? It did work and I did get those last bits done, but what should have taken all of maybe 20 minutes took over an hour. Very frustrating, and yes Pyro was still playing his game with the others and from what I saw turned it off around midnight.
