Today I felt like I have achieved very little. We woke up quite late as it was a day off work for me. Then I continued to stay in bed until lunch. I'm a lazy person and my feet still ached from yesterday's work. Also, bed is just super cosy. I like bed, a lot. I know it's not healthy to be in bed too much, but if it was I'd be in it all the time, especially as it's beginning to get colder again.  Finally I had to get up as my stomach was grumbling at me and the cats were also yelling for food too. Today I went with an all-day breakfast sandwich with a sausage roll. I much prefer the meal deals that our local co-op does than anything I could come up with, so we tend to have lunch from there when I'm not working. While eating we watched some random YouTube and worked out what we wanted to do with the rest of the day. Before we could get started though, a delivery arrived, or should I say three. Two small packages for me and a bigger one for the household. The two smaller ones were to do with my motorcycle. I recently purchased a paddock stand for it so I could do simple maintenance as it doesn't have it's own centre stand. Unfortunately it didn't come with the right parts for my particular bike so I need to get an adaptor set. I also found I couldn't put it together properly as I don't have the right wrench size for the bolts. So, the adaptor set and adjustable wrench are now squired. The final package was toilet roll, it's just easier to buy in bulk from sss than the small packs from the co-op. Some of the day consisted of me fiddling with the new wrench, then David got involved and we argued over who should be the one to fiddle with it. It was funny as we played tug-o-war with the short piece of metal, then whoever won would attempt to poke the other with the cold tool making them screech or make funny noises. We tend to mess around a lot like this with each other. I love it! With the packages opened we finally decided to play some Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) together primarily to do our daily event bits. At the moment that means killing a world boss to get some cool loot boxes. This even I seem to be getting luckier than David, though it's normally the other way around as I have managed to get much more of the outfit set than him. Originally I was just going to do that and my daily crafting quests on my main character but I ended up doing my crafting quests on all 9 of my characters. This was a bad decision as I'd forgotten just how long that takes and I didn't even get any nice rewards from it this time either. Never mind, at least the coin is worth it. Doing those dailys gets you around 4500 gold per character which adds up quickly.  After sorting through all my characters, David and I moved on to questing in the game. We have been playing together on and off for a good three years and still haven't finished all the basic game content. We're getting close now, there are three factions each with several zones filled with quests to go through and we're max level so are killing things very quickly between us. However David likes to do things in a very specific way, namely he has to explore every nook and cranny which can get very irritating. Sometimes it's worth it and we'll find a few extra treasure chests or a really cool view but for the most part it's just time wasting. I've learned to live with it though, just a quirk of his personality, same as any city or town we go into he needs to talk to every NPC there is before talking to the actual quest givers. So two hours worth of that and I really felt we didn't get very far today. One main quest set and a public dungeon. I feel like we normally get through at least two main quest sets and a whole load of side quests. I blame the public dungeon, it felt much bigger than normal so took longer to explore everything. Next I played some Conan Exiles, well tried to. My friends didn't join me today and David decided to watch some original Star Trek. This meant I was both very distracted and didn't really know what to do that wouldn't start putting me miles ahead of the others. In the end I realised that we really needed to think about setting up a base in the north of the map so went scouting. This didn't go too well since I died several times and it's not a short journey to get up there. Mostly it was my own incompetence that was the cause, that and not getting my bedroll down in time to save my spawn point. I would also like to blame lag too, but that would really just be making excuses. Finally I managed to get my spawn sorted and then ran into a new bug. I think I placed it in such a way that I couldn't actually revive on land so it sent me to one of the dungeons instead. I say it's a new bug because when googling it we couldn't find anything about it, so I'm assuming it's something caused with one of the newer updates. So off I went again, all the way north. This time I made a little base platform to put my bed roll on making sure it was flat and I could spawn in the right place. Well, I found a cool spot to start making an actual northern base but I ended up deciding that going to my single player game and turning on creative mode would be the best way, then I could design the base and not waste resources on the server. It was at this point however I needed to go back to ESO. I had signed up for an even with my main guild. It was an all public dungeons run with 7 others including David. It's crazy how fast we can get the group boss killed and the sky shard grabbed with that many people running together, but along with technical issues it's also surprising how long it can take to do all of the dungeons in the game. It's a lot of fun though, especially being in the discord voice chat and listening to them all making fun of each other. They seem like a nice bunch of people, but it'll be a while before I actually talk and join in more. After what happened with my last guild, the way it all just fell apart, I don't want to get too attached. After the event finished, David and I had a late dinner, watched some more YouTube, then went back to what we were doing before. For me that was designing a cool Conan base. It took a while just to work out what I roughly wanted, then even longer to actually build it and make it do what I wanted. I'm relatively happy with the results though, I think it will look good once properly completed on the server. Then I deconstructed it all so I could get a count of the parts I would need. This all took much longer than I was expecting so it was a late night getting to bed today. Next step for Conan is both gathering the materials I'll need for all those parts and telling my friends my plan, since I'm not sure if they are ready to start going further north yet.
