The Rituals Part 2:The final Test

"So the way this works is that we will all ask you a question related to our rank,Job or a question about you.This will determine where you should naturally be in the pack." Brandon paused before sweeping a gaze over the council "For those of you that aren't aware,Autumn is my Mate,She should be Ranked a Luna by default.However,As this is law for a Werewolf to pass before joining the pack She Must take the test.As she hasn't chosen whether to accept the mate bond yet ,This will be her start within the pack." he finished. Subtle nods to the alpha were made in acceptance.

I cleared my throat."Alpha?,If I may,I have a question?"

He nodded,suprise evident in his eyes from my calling him Alpha.

"How do you ..Not pass the test? ,Like is it if I'm below an omega,is that even possible?"

He flinched."It's possible,If you don't fit into a category at all then You're ranked a Powerless Wolf,This rank is the worst of all Ranks,It would mean that your wolf is destined For Bad things,Evil things,and that you have no Future in this world" He said Quickly.

My blood ran cold.What if?

He put on a smile before his facade snapped."Jocelyn Evergreen,Would you like to go first?"

"Yes alpha"

"Jocelyn is head of the Preschool and orphanage" he announced.I nodded.

"Could you please describe yourself as a person?" She asked Carefully.

"I would love To say I'm innocent,But that's not the case,I protect my friends and family fiercely which sometimes gets me into trouble, I have Straight A's and I have a passion for knowledge,I sing in the bathroom and I love to cook.Baking too.Other than that my favourite colour is red and I love little kids,they warm my heart." I blabbered.I could see they were all noting snippets down,When they finished the alpha Spoke again. "David Kendricks ,The headmaster will go next"

David gave me a kind smile"As I know,You do have straight A's ,But I would like to know what your favourite subject is and why."

these questions seem almost too easy.

"Well,I like Sciences Alot but I think my favourite has to be Chemistry Or biology,I couldn't decide" I answered truthfully.

He nodded thoughtfully before mumuring to himself and noting a few words.

"Violet" The alpha Spoke to who I assumed was a nurse.

She frowned before looking up at me " Can you name 7 of the most vital Organs in your body?"

"Brain,Heart,Lungs,Kidneys,Liver,Small intestines and Large intestines." I said Quickly.

She raised an eyebrow and I almost saw her lips give way to a smile before my attention turned to the man sitting next to her "Interesting" Dr Jefferson said fascinated.

"Can you name 8 types of Human Blood?" He said with a hint of suprise.

" the types are A+,B+,O+,A-,B-,O-,AB+,AB-" I answered like I was fluent in Nursing.I even surprised myself.

They all have me a weird look.I shot Brandon a look and he cleared his throat,looking at the Older woman who looked like a female version of himself.She had beautiful raven locks that wound around her body and Emerald green eyes,the trait all her children posessed."Mum?"

She clapped her hands together excitedly "Tell me Dear,What do you like About Brandon?"

Brandon groaned "You have to give her a proper question"

She shot him a look and he grimaced "Fine"

They Stared at me and I blushed furiously.

"Well.." I gave him an apologetic look "When we first bumped into eachother,I thought That he'd knocked me on purpose,My books went everywhere and I Thought he Was a Jerk." I paused as everyone gasped and Brandon looked a little hurt "But then he came to apologise to me and I thought he was gentle and compassionate,A side you don't see to most men.When he fought off my attackers I was scared,I'd never seen someone so angry,But he'd saved me and for that I was grateful.When I was in the pack hospital I started to notice little things like how He looked like he'd been created by a god and that he made me feel better about myself.And recently I've Actually started To Think your son is the most inspirational and amazing men I've ever met" I finished quietly

All eyes were on me including Brandon's black ,surprised eyes. Darcy Lit up like a Christmas tree, grinning ear to ear.

Seeing His sons temporary speech loss Roman stepped up"Me next.Im afraid it's quite a hard question" he looked apologetic.

well I knew things were too good to be true.

"If A Rogue had taken pack members hostage,A little boy,An elderly lady with not long left to live due to her injuries and The beta,And the rogue asked you to make a decision on who to save.The rest die.Who would you pick and why?"

I thought,silent for a minute."I wouldn't choose,I would negotiate my life for theirs ,My being Luna gives me power so they would agree to let them go if I came with them,I'm sure.Each of those lives has something to live for,A beta who still has a mate out there somewhere,A little boy who's life has barely began and The elderly woman most probably has family that would miss her terribly if she died at the hands of this rogue,plus the fact her injuries which would make me wanna get her out of there quicker so she could be healed." I finished.

He smiled proudly.

Clara spoke up next." What are your thoughts on how to keep this place Guarded and keeping the alpha safe?"

"Well ,Gigi taught me a few things about pack borders and the ways you protect it now.I would change a few things." I looked around nervously at everyone's intrigued faces.god I hope I don't offend anyone. "Well My thought would be That Each 10km stretch of Border has their own defense Team incase of attack ,Groups of 5,You'd need around 200 men or women to guard the borders,And a further 20 to guard the pack house.A personal Bodyguard should be assigned to the alpha as a precaution. If they got through the border some how ,they still have the pack house guards then as a last resort the personal body guard."

"I'm impressed" she Laughed "Those are some good ideas!"

Josh was up next."What are the first 3 words that come to mind when I say rogue?"

"Danger,Crazy and Fight." I said hesitantly.

He nodded.

I turned my gaze to Beta Darren who gave me his natural Smouldering look." Choose between your mate and your pack" he stated. I looked at Brandon, alarmed.He averted my gaze.

"Pack" I answered Painfully.

The beta Nodded his head at me ,then looked at the alpha.

"I.." he Started,Looking at me before taking a deep breath "And if you had to choose between your adopted parents And your pack?" He stated Firmly with An unbreakable Glare.

I gasped. "I..I.." I frowned this was an impossible question. "I would choose my pack with A broken heart" I stated Sadly.

He raised his eyebrows."Your test is now finished,If you'd like to wait outside for 10 minutes until we call you back in.." he sighed.

I slowly Trailed Down the hall,Opening the door and Closing it behind me.

"Well??!!" Gigi looked at me frantically

I shook my head "I don't know,I think I messed up gi"

I frowned.

Alex slung his arm around me"Hey we're in this together,If you don't pass,I won't join this pack.My life would suck without you" he grinned

"Thanks Alex but if I don't pass, I'd want you to join and be happy" I whispered.

We waited For what felt like Forever until the door cracked open and Darren poked his head out,"We're ready for you both"

Me and Alex stood,Gigi stood in her place "I'll see you after" she said calmly.I nodded,Stepping forward with Alex.

When we reached the front,Alpha Brandon gave us A small smile each as we bowed our head in respect.

"We've made our decisions.."

"Alex,Although you have Beta blood inside you,You answered the questions quite interestingly" he started ,Alex's face dropped in fear "You Are A Warrior With A Beta Rank. This means That You are A ranked Beta but as I already have a beta" He gestured toward Darren"You will be both his Apprentice and Replacement if he Needs it And you will also Have a job within the pack as Warrior.Well done,You've passed with flying colours" he added.

Relief flooded through Alex's features as he grinned."Thank you Alpha,I'm honoured"

"Autumn" Brandon's Smile Faltered for a second.

My heart leapt "You didn't Fit into Just one category" he whispered pausing. I looked horrified "I'm a Powerless?" I said gasping,He looked taken aback "No no,That's when you don't fit into any " he reminded me and I sighed gratefully. "oh".

"As I was saying,You don't just fit into one of the ranks.You fit into all of them" he said slightly impressed.

"So what does that mean?" I frowned.

"Normally The only ones who gain more than 2 categories are The alphas" he grinned "You fit into being omega With your love of cooking and looking after others,delta through your passion for knowledge and love of science,Anatomy and Loyalty,A gamma Through your knowledge and strategy on defence ,A beta through your knowledge of the pack And again,Loyalty during the set up examples And the Best of all because of all this ,that makes you a luna,You put your pack first even before family outside the pack and your mate.Only a true Luna Would answer those questions the way you did." he finished proudly.

"So what do I do now?" I grinned in suprise,My face heating up.

"Well,You can choose Which delta profession you'd like to go into And Technically you're a Luna by birthright and rank so it's up to you if you decide to accept that too." He smiled kindly.

"Can I do more than one?"

his eyebrows raised in suprise "Well it's not advised but of course you can"

I nodded "I'd like to atleast learn The basics of the pack hospital,So id like it if I could work there,I'd also like to volunteer at the nursery once a week too.And When I get my wolf I'd like to train with The warriors."

He laughed "That's quite alot of work,but it can be arranged.You will however have to quit School" he raised an eyebrow.

I flinched. I was about to speak when Headmaster Kendricks spoke before me."Alpha if I may,I can arrange for her to Take the Exams Early next week ,that way she wouldn't have to quit,she would finish school With Grades.And believe me,this one may have the rest of this year left but she's way above her Year ,She could definitely pass all of her subjects." he smiled kindly at me,I returned it

Brandon looked at me questioningly and I nodded ,He looked at the headmaster and nodded"Arrange it"

he turned to me " so you will work at the pack hospital On Thursday,Friday and Saturday,You will volunteer at the nursery on Mondays And you will have the rest of the week to do as you wish." He handed me a Silver coloured Bank card with two orange circles on it. "Use this if you need to buy anything.Knowing Gigi she will have dragged you around 70 shops by the end of this week" he laughed.

I looked at him in shock before Trying to hand the card back "No I can't accept that,it's too much"

he Laughed again "This is your own card, The pin is on a note upstairs for you.I insist you take it ,I'm rich ,unless you spend A billion pounds,It won't even make a dent."

I Gaped at him he's a billionaire?

"Thank you" I blushed,Putting the card in my pocket.

"Right now remember both of you,You must be at the Lake at 7PM sharp for the welcoming ritual."

we both nodded and Then left together,When we got out the door,We hugged eachother and Gigi begged us to tell her everything that happened.

Alex Started to explain sending her into a frenzy And we started to walk towards our rooms.I thought about the Welcoming ceremony and shivered.A tight knot forming in my stomach.

God I hope I don't freak out.
