How dit this happen.....
It was Dark and cold when I woke up from a deep sleep. When I looked around, I saw no one there I was left, abandoned by my own mother.
My Mother was a r**e victim, taken at her weakest moment during her first shift on her 16th birthday. The man who did it? The man sworn to protect her at all costs the packs Beta. After her father, the Alpha found out what happened he threw him out of the pack but things where never the same again. My mother Alpha by blood tried to make things work but she could not stand the sight of me any longer and abandoned me in a cave at the age of 10.
My name is Gaia, and I am now 15 years old. I have been roaming around the woods I now call my home since I was 10 years old. Over the past 5 years I have learned I have a verry strong and powerful wolf by the name of Elena, she has helped me gather food and fight some of the most awful creatures in the woods that we ran across. I have been looking for forever to find my pack, but they are nowhere to be found. It is like the have evaporated in to thin air, and every wolf I asked says they have never heard of the Jinx Moon pack.
So, I kind of gave up on ever finding my family, doomed to roam the woods on my own and never know a real home again. I missed my mother although she hated me with every fiber in her body. I missed her strawberry blond hair and her moss green eyes. For me she was the most beautiful women in the world. When I looked at myself in the lake near the cave, I resembled nothing of her. I had dark brown hair with a hint of red in it, when the sun was out my hair looked like it was made of gold, my eyes a hazel color with a black speck in my right eye with the shape of a crescent moon. A scar over my left eye running from my eyebrow to my cheekbone. A scar that never healed my mom slashed at me with a claw after asking for my father for the 100th time. I was only 6 years old when it happened, and it was a constant reminder of how much she hated me and the man that fathered me.
After rooming the woods that I called home for 5 years you could say I had gotten a bit wild. My people skills were no where to be found and I never longed for contact as I could not find my pack anyway. I hated the way I looked skinny and underfed because of the lack of nutrition in the most important years of my life.
It is almost my 16th birthday and I could not wait to finally meet my wolf in the full. She was always in the back of my mind telling what to eat and what not. She even taught me how to hunt for some small game meat like rabbits. But it was time for her to come out. And I really hoped I would find my mate one day. Hoping I would run in to him in these woods, although the chances were slim as I had not run in to any other wolves in the past 3 years. I just hoped because I was technically a rogue that my mate would not reject me at the spot. I hoped he would love me and cherish me like my grandparents had loved each other. Because of me my mother got rejected by her mate and that only angered her more. To be honest I was scared to meet my mate because of all the drama and heartache I had already endured.
2 days I thought to myself and then I will meet Elena.
“you already met me dear” she said in my mind and I smiled. “I know that but you deserve your first run even if it will be a run all alone and not with friends and family” I said and a tear filled my eyes unknowingly I touched my scar and sighd. I just wish I could have a normal life growing up. But at least I was free and no longer locked up in a room with nothing but a cot and 2 shirts to wear. As the years went by I found some more clothes in the abandoned homes so at least I had something to wear. As I walked around for what felt like hours I smelled the most amazing smell. It smelled like apples and cinnamon. Like the apple pies my grandmother used to make.
As my senses peaked I could not resist and moved to the smell. As I came closer I saw a small cottage in the middle of a clearing in the woods with a silver lake in the back. I saw small children running around and laughing playing tags. The picture made a tear fall from the corner of my eye. A old woman was standing on the porch as she lifted her head sniffing the air. Her eyes darted in my direction and she looked afraid, calling for the children and hurrying inside.
The reaction of the old woman scared me and I turned around and ran as fast as I could in the opposite direction. I don’t know how long I ran for but I could hardly breath. As I was catching my breath I looked around at my surroundings and realized I had no idea where I was.
