Crow woke up from the dream shaken.
He remembered me, that’s what that face was, he thought to himself. I need to get my memories back as soon as possible. Hey, um, Hell-Dweller? God, I think you should get a name.
“Yes, Crow?”
I need all of my memories back. Are you able to give them to me quickly?
“I’m afraid not.”
Damn. Well can I get your name? Your real name?
“Hmm.” He dwelled on it a bit before replying. “Well technically I’m you so my name would also be Crow, but I’m thinking you can call me Black Crow instead. It helps to differentiate us from one another and it rolls off the tongue a bit.”
Crow smiled, Okay then Black Crow.
“Okay you’re going to need to lay in the bed some more while I get your memories back.”
Crow did exactly as he was told, passing out almost instantly.
Chapter 20
Airi and Edolas had finished their dinner and downed all their blood wine.
Airi looked up to her older brother across the table, “Hey so what will we do about the tradition of throwing a ball after a week of marriage?”
Edolas looked down, “Well we could still throw it, even though the two of you didn’t actually marry. However, only if you want to and, knowing how the others might react, you might be verbally assaulted. Personally I’d rather not. I might end up attacking anyone who bad mouths you.”
Airi smiled, “Edolas I appreciate your concern but I think we should do it. I’ll get to dance with Crow and people will see that I have no care for the old traditions.”
Edolas smiled, “Yeah I knew you would say that.” He stood up, walked the length of the table, and patted his little sister’s head. “How’s two weeks from now sound?”
“I think it’s perfect.” Airi answered, a smile on her face.
Edolas walked away from the table and started walking out of the dining room. “Get some sleep now, okay?”
Airi nodded, standing up.
As she walked out of the dining room, two maids came and picked up the dishes.
