Crow stood in shock as he saw the one person he least expected to see come out of the car.
Edolas walked up to the weakened, younger Crow. Picking him up, he walked back to the car and placed the boy in the car. A scream rang out from behind him as he put the seatbelt on for the boy.
When he turned around, he spotted another boy running toward him.
“Get up Crow! Run for it!” White yelled at the top of his lungs as he began to punch Edolas.
Edolas didn’t react to the youngster’s punches and gently placed his hand on the boy’s head.
“It’ll be alright, don’t be scared. You can come with.”
The boy kept trying to punch the man, “No! Stranger Danger!” White shouted.
Edolas went on his knees to be at the boy’s height, grabbing the boy’s arms, “I’ll take you to a place where you can actually be taken care of.”
“Like where, your house? So you’re not just a kidnapper but a child-” White had yelled.
“Hell no!” Edolas shouted back, interrupting the kid. “I’m just taking you to a place where you can play with other kids like yourselves and get fed.” Edolas smiled reassuringly.
White stopped his struggling looking the man in the face, “what do you mean other kids like us? Do you know what happened to my mom?”
Edolas’ face went solemn, his gaze going to the floor, muttering the words “I do”.
Tears began to trail down White’s face, he began sobbing.
Edolas held the boy in a tight embrace, before taking his hand and walking him to the car.
