Chapter 8

They had been walking around the mall for twenty minutes when they decided to visit a*****e. Inside were many things ranging from shirts of cartoon characters, rock bands, and anime to jewelry and wallets. They had looked around the store before a woman walked up to them asking if they needed help finding anything specific. She appeared to be about the same age as them with her hair dyed a dark shade of blue.  Crow answered, “no, we're just looking around.” Airi, however, gave a different answer. “Yeah we’re looking for jewelry for couples.” The woman smiled, “Sure thing. They’re right here.” She took them to a revolving mini-shelf that had all kinds of different jewelry, most of the sides had jewelry meant for one person. One side had multiple kinds of matching jewelry ranging from matching necklaces to bracelets with their own thing written on them.  Airi looked through them, pulling some out exclaiming things like “Oh how cute!” or “I really like this one”. Eventually she picked one out, they were made out of some rope-like material with some tiny dice expertly placed to spell out words. They spelled out “his” and “hers” with a dice containing a red heart placed after the words.  “This is perfect!” she exclaimed with pure excitement. She put back all the ones she had pulled out and went to the counter to pay for the bracelets.  “You know I could pay for it right?” Crow asked, attempting to fulfill the typical guy role.  “I’ll do it.” Airi replied.  She had paid for them and the two walked out, waving back at the cashier. They had sat at a bench, releasing the bracelets from their cardboard prison. Crow immediately grabbed the “his” bracelet.  “What are you doing?” Airi asked, attempting to hold back a laugh.  “Well it does say ‘his’ so~ yeah… I think I’m supposed to wear this one,” Crow answered, “I mean, I’m sure it’ll look good on me.”  Airi, no longer able to suppress herself, laughed, “No, no. You’re supposed to wear this one.” she dangled the “hers” bracelet from between her thumb and index finger.  In response, Crow placed his left hand on her leg.  She stared at the hand before getting the idea of what exactly she was being told to do. She wrapped the bracelet around his left wrist and, using the clasp and ring, closed it.  The two smiled at each other before Airi placed her right hand on his lap. She then began to rub his leg with her hand.  Crow couldn’t help but laugh away his embarrassment and grabbed her hand, “I still gotta put this on you.”  She stopped moving her hand and allowed Crow to wrap the bracelet around her wrist and close it.  When he finished putting the bracelet on her wrist, he gently kissed her hand before taking it into his.
