Chapter 30

They were back at the house, Airi and Crow had finished their homework. The two were in the center of the living room, Airi teaching Crow how to do a simple waltz for the party.  “So like this?” Crow had his hand wrapped around Airi’s, gripping rather gently. His other hand was placed at her hip. “Yes good. Now as you move your right foot forward, I’ll be moving my left foot back.” Crow moved his foot forward, Airi moving hers back.  “Now you’re going to move your left foot forward and I’ll move my right foot back.” Crow moved his foot forward, Airi moving hers back. “Now you’ll move your left foot back and I’ll follow.” He stepped back with his left foot, Airi moving forward with her right foot. “Okay good so far.” She taught him all the steps he needed to know, forward, back, then left and right, on repeat.  “Now we’ll be slightly turning with these movements.”  “Is it clockwise or counter-clockwise?” “Counter-clockwise.”  He did the steps, each one slightly tilted so they would make a circle. He was watching his feet, in total focus when suddenly… “Hey watch where your hand is going! You need to keep it at my hip.” Crow looked down at where his hand was. He felt a round, warm sensation in his hand. His hand was cupping her behind. He rapidly moved his hand up to her hip. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to do that. I swear I’m taking this practice seriously. I must’ve been so focused on my feet that I didn’t notice that my hand was moving.” Crow rambled, flustered. Airi laughed a bit, a bit of red painted her cheeks, “don’t worry about it.” She looked up at him. “We should probably take a break… I don’t want you to get upset with yourself if you mess up some more.” “Y-yeah good idea…” “We probably wouldn’t be able to focus much anymore after that.” Airi muttered softly to herself.
