Battleships

1014 Words
As soon as the Men heaved the ship forward from the shore and lifted the anchor, the ship gradually took to a moving pace and left the shores of the Pacific and sailed on further to the it's waters. The warriors were too exhausted, tired and disappointed in their first experience at a strange world for those, who those who went on a sail outside the Atlantic waters for the first time. Ibinabo wasn't really pissed about anything really, she had reasons to be but she was just quiet and mantained the same energy she had when they had embarked on the sail. This qualities makes her more of a leader. The had lost a great number of warriors in a strange land. But their names will be chanted at every shakuri night and their honour will be assured to pass on to their kins. The sail was smooth so far and the sea has a way of healing people's mental scars and calming their troubles especially if it's from a place they want to run from. Lord Nathan was healing from his long runs, jumps and fight bruises he must had sustained in the City as he sat by the edge of the control room recieving the cold breeze and looking to see if the sky would open up and take him to a more peaceful place. Day dreams and hallucinations are both works of illusion but the feeling is real and so was the Lord Nathan believe he had while he just sat there and closed his eyes. Sandy and Prince Jath were Inside the Chambers with the rest of the surviving warriors. Some who were still sane to sing, sang a song to mourn our fallen warriors and the ones who drank to forget their sorrows and some just drank because they survived. It was quite an evening at the sea once again. But things changes real fast. "Sire!!, Sire!!..... There are ships coming, they look like bandits but it's very most likely to be warriors from the Pacific".... as she saw thier yellow flag flying high. The young warrior who had been keeping watch from the pole alerted Lord Nathan from on there. Lord Nathan was irritated by the guts of the Pacific warriors to follow them up to the sea to capture them, and he was also enraged. He stood up in a rush to see the ships that were on tailing them and sent words across to ibinabo that was going to be yet another attack. She was down the Chambers dressing a piercing wound one of the warriors had sustained from the hit from Jessiah's crossbow. The screams and grip might be inherent. On hearing the new development, Ibinabo rushed to see Lord Nathan who she found coming down also to meet her so they could strategically brings the ship down.  All were gathered once again to prepare and be given instructions on battle. But this time on the waters. As the ship of the Pacific approached from behind. Commander Jessiah was spoted on board the enemy's ship and a host of others. The Pacific city's best of assassins they were. "What do we do now?, Attack or run?"... Prince Jath asked Lord Nathan like he was the one with the plan. He nodded his head in a way to show he was either sure or thinking about their options.  "Here, since they don't want to accept their losses just as we have ours then maybe they might be prepared to loose more"... Ibinabo suggested. With a loosed eye searching and staying vigilant for the sail was going smoothly before now. "So what do you think we do?" Ibinabo asked  Lord Nathan left the circle of discussion, drew out his sword and sat in a corner... "Let them come, we all meet out fates". He said. Sandy went down to the Chambers room where she saw some barrels with people, foodstuffs and some necessary things that the ship might need it. And well as well you can. So she dragged out a barrel and with a gesture to show she was tired, the warriors who noticed her helped her bring barrel of rum and some Grease oil... Sandy came up to where they all stood and watched the enemies ship gained on them. Then a though lighted up in her head. "I have an Idea., Why don't we make the ocean burn".... Sandy said hoping to get a response to back her up but they all just sat and watched her air out her opinions. She was given a chance, she took most of the clothes that was in the Chambers room. She tied it up together up to look like a very long rope. She soaked it in water to make it wet and then squeezed it all. She then dipped and soaked it inside a barrel of alcohol. Meanwhile she has instructed one of the male warriors to gather and bring the bottles so they would fill it with alcohol enough to cause an explosion. The clothes were properly soaked and the edge of the clothes was put in the barrel... She asked to drop it down to the water. As the ships approached the barrels. Sandy took am arrow and wraps a piece of clothe soaked in alcohol and ignites it with fire.... Aims for the part of the barrel with oil and then releases her pull. The arrown pierced through the box and the trajectory wind had put off the fire on the clothes had put off before it reaches it's aim. She tried again and this time she had it. The explosion on the sea has the first ship capsize and the fire guts across the ocean with the oil spillage. The remaining two ships that were behind couldn't sailed passed the fire , while one kept moving forward right pass the fire and straight to the Atlantic's ship. Commander Jessiah commandeered the ship that kept on following them and he was determined to capture if not all, at least one of them.
