Lately, Raein had been busy with pack duies, putting things in place and resolving things. He had let flirting take the better part of him recently. Making him slack in his duties. A near-rogue attack almost caught them if not for the intervention of his Beta who noticed on time.
He had been working with the security trying to understand what went wrong.
If he discovered he had been slacking lately, he would be in for it.
Raein fumed in his heart when a stinging memory came into his remembrance.
He had been trying to avoid his father for a while now. The old man had been on his nerves about responsibility and the rest.
It was becoming outrageous.
He was invited for a meeting with the Alphas in the neighbouring packs. His Dad told him he couldn't attend the meeting and asked him to go in his stead as the future Alpha. He didn't think of it as anything until he got there and was embarrassed for not coming with his Luna because the meeting required Lunas in attendance.
Raein was really wroth and wanted to go mad. His wolf Theo was mocking at him.
He couldn't help but shake his head and sigh, this mate thing was really getting out of hand.
His father had really set him up with that meeting just to make sure that he has achieved his aim of making him see that he needs to get a mate.
He just returned from a run after cross checking the borders again all by himself. He couldn't afford to loose his guard again.
He walked into his office and quickly browsed through the files on the table.
Seriously engrossed in his work.
Suddenly, the door burst open and someone strolled in and sat.
“What do we have here”
Raein turned to look at the person talking.
It was Rio his bosom friend right from childhood.
“What a hard-working Alpha, we've got here, did the beautiful ladies go on strike?” He mocked.
“When will you learn to respect me, Rio” he feigned anger as he glared at him.
“I'm sorry your majesty” he pretended to be pretended to bow to him and burst out laughing.
He suddenly became serious.
“But, wait! What suddenly entered you? You're becoming serious all of a sudden.
Raein sighed and shrugged.
“It's the best I can do”
“Hey come on, I know you're avoiding something because you can't be too serious for nothing. This is not you “ he burst out laughing again.
Raein glared at him yet again and was about to growl
“okay fine!”
He raised his hands in surrender.
“How about you escort me to the mall, I want to get something for Emily.”
He scrunched his brows and smirked
“When did you start shopping for women”
Rio Inhaled
“i had a little rucus with Emily so I just want to get her something as a sign of sorry. I just want to make her happy.”
He looked at him with a face of 'shame to you’ then glared at him for a while and said
“No”
He continued doing what he was doing.
He pressed and pressed untill he obliged
“Ewwew stop begging me like a woman”
He shoved him away like a piece a s**t as they walked along.

Aria had just returned from an errand her boss had assigned her to, despite the fact that she was always stressed at work.
She loved her job and was always good at it, she always made sure to keep a smiling face at work. She had long put away expensive s****l escapade long behind her and lived like nothing really happened.
She returned to serving the customers that flooded the mall that afternoon, smiling at them and attending to them like she was the happiest person.
A young lady walked into the mall and went straight to the counter demanding to be attended. It turned out to be the CEO of unique enterprises. She’s also among the highly rated people of the area. She is the luna to the neighbouring pack She is someone of high status who always came around to shop and she was well known.
She walked up to the counter and by passed others that were there before her.
“ Here is a note from your manager,Attend to me swiftly, I'm here to shop,Pick these things for me”
She pointed to several things in front of the transparent glass counter.
Aria got the note from her and frowned.
It read
“Attend to her immediately”
“A minute please, I will be with you shortly” Aria tried to explain while playing nice.
The lady was a regular customer to the mall but had her high class way of doing things to the detriment of others. Even her boss did everything she could to please her no matter how offending It might be.
“I can't wait, I need to get out of here sooner” she sounded impatient
“I'm sorry Ma, I will be with you shortly”
She quickly tried to package for the waiting person that came before her.
The CEO blurted out
“Are you crazy, is there something wrong with you upstairs?”
“ You need to be changed, what do you guys have around here” she ranted with her full chest.
The people she met at the counter couldn't utter a word because she was well known for her pride.
She went on trying to be dramatic, causing a scene.
“Can I understand what is happening her?”
A voice growled and everything went silent and turned to its direction.
They were shocked to see Raein in the building. It was rare for him to be in the building.
He had been standing there for a minute with rio trying to observe what was happening.
It was also rare for him to intervene in little matters like that.
There was a slight twig of anger and unexplainable feeling invading his heart as he saw her in such an embarrassing situation. It was unlike him to be so moved.
When he saw how everyone froze, he cleared his throat.
“What's going on?”
